Was this all a hoax? Was Mimi's reality just Japan's imagination? What was his actual purpose in living in this world?
Japan's words now made sense to him, they answered the questions as to why he is unable to feel or understand the emotions of himself or others.
Mimi curled up, watching and listening to the water as he reflected on his life. What was his actual name? Was it Mimi or was it something else?
He had always thought of himself as an older brother of Japan, a figure he could look up to and rely on. Not a creation of his and something he could easily replace with another creation.
"Hey... Mimi right?" [name] called out to the kitsune. The other country came walking to him, plopping himself right beside him. "I get what you're feeling right now—"
"Do you? Were you just a false country created because another felt like it? Or are you just coming up with things to sympathise with me?" Mimi didn't bother turning to look at [name], instead, he continued looking at the flowing water.
He didn't understand what he was thinking, what he was feeling right now. He never understood any of them. How does one feel the concept of these emotions? Knowing that you're not real.
[name] knew that this couldn't be resolved with 'I understand how you feel', he needed something. The country followed Mimi's gaze, looking at the calming waters.
"I was once somewhat in your situation before. I woke up in this body with no memories of anything, wondering who I am, what I am, and how I even got here. What am I supposed to do? Why am I even here?
Yet, I continued, to find my purpose, my memories. I believed you've already found your purpose, Mimi, while I had not." [name] turned to the fox who was in denial. A sprinkle of lies on top of the truth is a great lying tactic.
Mimi's ears perked up at the word purpose, his face morphed into confusion as he turned to [name]. "Purpose? What are you talking about?"
"You were created for a reason weren't you? You've been living with Japan for how long! Have you not found your purpose in life yet?" [name] raised his arms high explaining like a schizo person.
"You matter. To Japan. If you didn't, he would've just removed you from the world but, he hadn't. You have a purpose in this world, even if you're a real country or not."
"..."
The atmosphere grew increasingly silent. [name] sweatdropped, hoping that he didn't strike a point. Each time the air gets tenser, [name] wishes he hadn't come and comfort Mimi.
The old kitsune digested the other country's words. Finally seeing the colours in his dull world that [name] painted.
"You're right.. I do have a purpose in this world." Mimi held his kimono tightly. "Thank you, [name]."
...
'Should I go or stay till Mimi leaves?" [name] kicked his feet, already bored with this atmosphere. 'It feels rude to leave someone processing a tough situation.'
So in the end, [name] stayed with the fox. He was already dozing off when Mimi suddenly stood up from the rock. His movements were so silent that [name] didn't even notice the kitsune had already left, leaving him sitting there for another good 20 minutes.

What now? [name] asked himself this question. A student's and potentially multiple students' safety now rest on him. He felt tired, the tasks and corruptions all pushed onto him like he was just a robot was taking him out.
The country lifted the charm high above his face. The charm looked nothing magical, nothing abnormal was coming out of this charm, and yet Japan believes it prevents corruption?
[name] gave the charm a good o' jingle before shoving it back on his person. He's gonna take Japan's word for it. If he gets corrupted, it's on Japan.
"[name]! Fancy seeing you here!" Someone he didn't recognise called his name out. "It's been so long pal!" That someone hooked their arms around [name]'s shoulders.
Judging by the country's flag, [name] deciphered it as Slovakia.. Slovenia? Err... [name] couldn't really differentiate these two flags, it could be Serbia either. It's a Slavic country, that's what [name] knows.
"What? You don't recognise me? How fake a friend you are!" He jokingly crossed his arms, acting all hurt even though it's [name]'s first time seeing him.
"Slovenia, that's my name. In case you forget!"
"Right... have we met?" [name] scratched his head, uncomfortable with the other country's sudden touch.
"Pftt—! I was your good old buddy right when you started this shabby old school!" Slovenia twirled his strand of hair while keeping an arm around [name]'s neck. "We were inseparable! How upsetting to see that you have forgotten about me!"
Right, [name] had forgotten once again that his life didn't actually start on that day. His face formed a sheepish smile, unsure whether the other country was telling the truth or not. But it's most likely the truth.
"Ahh right! I remember now! Sorry about that.." [name] smiled nervously, by now, he's trying to escape the hold of that Slavic.
"C'monn! What's the hurry? We gotta catch up as soon as possible! It's probably been decades since we last talked!" Slovenia's smile widened, urging the other country to agree. His hold on [name] never budged, forcing [name] to accept.
"Sure... but, I'm busy right now. Maybe tomorrow after school?"
Slovenia's face lit up, eagerly nodding his head. "Sure sure! I'll pick you up from your class kay? So don't run away!"

[name] sighed loudly, catching the attention of Australia. He slouched over his table, clearly exhausted after the long Physics period.
"Hahaha! Did Physics really fry your brain that bad?" Australia cackled at the country on the table.
"You're not that good at Physics either. Besides, it's not about that."
"Really? What's bugging you pal?"
"I have to go out with Slovenia after this... I don't wanna gooo..." [name] whined into the table, making the wood vibrate. "This is so tiring. "
"Howdy~ I'm here to pick [name] up!" Slovenia burst through the classroom door, catching the attention of students staying back. "Oh hey, Aussie."
"Hi...? Why are you picking [name] up? That's so sudden..." Australia leaned back onto [name]'s desk. His attention focused on the student lying on the table. "I never thought you would hang out with this fella."
"Well, he and I are going on a mini-catching on with each other!" Slovenia sneered at the Aussie. "I hope that isn't an insult and you're not jealous."
"Jealous? Oh nah, me and [name] do game nights every day. Y'know what? Just take him! I'm not jealous!" Australia crossed his arms. [name] looked up at his friend in betrayal.
[name] had never seen these two interact before, and it was interesting nonetheless. He had never seen this side of Australia before, maybe he will see more in the future.
He wondered what the history was between the two of them to be looking at each other's throats like that.
The Slavic's arm wrapped around his shoulder, fishing him out of his seat. "Well~ guess it's time! C'mon [name]!"
[name] gave Australia a 'why did you do this to me look' before being pulled out of the class.

"Hah! Jealous I think not!" Australia scoffed, leaning against his gaming chair. His grip on the mouse tightened as he remembered the smug grin of Slovenia. He wanted to wipe that sneer off his face really badly.
'What a friend stealer' He pouted, scrolling through the games he would've played with [name] at this time.
All these games were boring without [name]. This wouldn't be the case if a Slovenian hadn't 'forced' [name] into a mini-'date' with him.
Australia is not jealous guys! Definitely not!. He just misses his gaming buddy right now.
This was such a great time to have an all-nighter game night since the exams were over, and that Slovenia had ruined it.
Either way, he still dislikes Slovenia even if he snatched his [name] away. A hidden beef between the two of them that he refuses to share with anyone.
"Darn it Slovenia.. out of all the countries, you took my bestest 'pal away." The Aussie growled under his breath as he hopped on the shared Minecraft world with [name].
Let's just say that Australia switched to Bedwars to bully kids online.

(Extra scene)
As [name] walked through the Japanese house, he noticed several paintings that almost resembled him. He could tell that these paintings might have been centuries ago with different styles and strokes of the same person.
The Japanese in front of him stopped, noticing how [name] was looking at the paintings on the walls.
"That's my friend, ███████." Japan turned to look at the other country. "They were a great friend that Mimi and I cherished."
"Did they have something to do with you asking me to call you Kiki?" [name] pondered, recalling that exact pitiful moment of Japan pulling his uniform.
"Yes.. Kiki was a nickname for me. And a little thing about Mimi." Japan didn't bother to hide his fox-like features in his house, had his tails swaying left and right. "I named him after the same nickname ███████ gave me."
"I see, they must have meant a lot to you.."
"They were, and I see them in you." Japan smiled, turning back to [name]. His tails stopped moving as he looked at the other country in the eye. "Don't change [name], I'll hate to see ███████ in you go."
