"Where. Were. You." Ukraine jabbed his finger at Y/N's chest. Apparently, their team lacked once he had left and lost the match.

"I was bringing Peru to the nurse's office?" Y/N stated, raising a brow at Ukraine's question.

"You should have told us! We could've paused the game! We LOST because of your dumb decision."

"It's just a game. Why do you care so muc-" Y/N paused, seeing the familiar black ink forming on his face. "Look- I'm sorry for not telling anyone beforehand, but Peru is badly injured here."

"It's not like he'll die from that! Look at that injury! It's NOT even close to someone being run over by a truck." Ukraine snapped his fingers, his anger growing with each second.

Y/N swore he was about to burst. He had thought that the two of them would be the best buds according to the last reset. He never knew that someone was on his period today.

"Stop being so competitive. It's just a game, not a hunger game. Why don't you just worry about your teammate's health instead."

Peru watched the two argue back and forth from the side. His throat tightened. It was his fault, after all. Had he been more cautious, the team wouldn't have lost.

He, too, had noticed a black spot growing bigger and bigger as the tension rose. Following his guts, he tried to stop the fight.

"It's not-" "Stop." Peru interrupted Ukraine before he could make out a sentence.

His sudden appearance made Ukraine realize his vision was slowly getting hazy with a black smudge. He looked up to see Y/N with the exact reaction.

"Wh..at is this?" It felt gooey yet sticky when he tried to remove it.

"That. The black substance is the cause of corruption within countries." A country walked up to them as if they had observed the small fight in the distance. "We don't know much about it, but it's inside our body."

...

The countries stared at each other. Y/N simply nodded his head while Peru and Ukraine stared at the newcomer, confused.

"My name is Kazakhstan. The recent case intrigued me, hence why I'm researching about it." The country introduced themself. Their wings looked rather roughed up. It was obvious they tested some experiments on themself. "I'll tell you guys more later on."

Kazakhstan invited the three for a walk to the science lab, where they would explain their discovery on the topic.

"We've worked hard to find what is causing these... the core reason." Their voice echoed in the empty hallway.

They couldn't care less if anyone overheard the conversation. Almost everyone in the school had known about the incident.

"We?"

Kazakhstan smiled, blatantly ignoring the question.

The red lights from the security camera flickered as the group huddled around Kazakhstan.
"This is a country model, watch closely."

"What are you doing?" The prototype backed away as the scientist edged closer to it. Kazakhstan whispered something into its ears and the prototype broke down into tears.

"Uhh....are you sure it's a model?"

The dummy let out an agonizing scream before morphing into a creature unrecognizable.

"You see that's what ends up when your emotions get to the best of you," Kazakhstan commented, switching the model off. "If you didn't know, that black substance on the dummy is called a Nyxar. It's inside us, but toxic til the point that if you touch it you'd face corruption. "

"And yet it's still inside us?"

"Our body is filled with mysteries, don't question it." Kazakhstan shrugged Ukraine's words off.

The tattered eagle scavenged through the drawers before fishing out a thick needle. There's a massive note 'PROTOTYPE' stuck onto it.

"I want you guys to use this, it can suck the Nyxar from a corrupted. Never really put this to the test soo..." They dropped the prototype on Peru's palms. "It would be great if y'all can send a needle filled with Nyxar back to me."

"Can't you do it by yourse-"
"Okay, that's all from me, byeee!"

And with that, Kazakhstan slammed the laboratory doors shut on the confused three.

"Wow, such a great lesson on body system." Y/N deadpanned.

Ukraine flicked the needle from curiosity, and the prototype emitted something weird. Ukraine can't describe it.

He lay on the bed recalling every second that had happened in school.

The needle given to the group felt like an NPC giving the main character a story item needed to progress. However, someone was watching the whole talk.

Ukraine felt someone's eyes on him, it was Russia's.

"Back from duty already?" Russia hummed in reply, she gestured at the needle he was playing around with.

"This? A withering bird gave it to me." He mumbled, handing it to Russia for her to inspect.

Russia took a few moments of inspecting before sticking it into her arm. Ukraine tried to register what she did.

"Still as impulsive as you were when you were a kid!" He smacked her head, trying to tug the needle out. The needle ledged onto Russia tightly, refusing to be pulled out.

With a final tug, Ukraine managed to whisk out a whole needle unscathed.

"Bad! Bad!!" He bonked Russia's head despite being shorter than her. (He had to tiptoe)

The door handle twisted. Greece had to crank their head to find out who entered the room.

Poland walked over to them, heels clicking on the marble floor. Greece clicked their tongue, staring at the country before them.

Poland couldn't bring themself to look Greece in the eyes. They fiddled with the bowl of soup they had made for their friend.

"I'M SOSOSOSOSO SORRY! I HAD A LOT OF THINGS TO MANAGE, I REALLLLY WANTED TO COME TALK TO YOU BUT THERE'S A LOT OF STUFF PILING UP!" Poland bawled their eyes out, jumping Greece.

"HEy the soup!" Greece stammered, trying to catch the bowl of hot soup.

Extra scene:

"Did you see how cool America was?! She was like "Your words don't hold weight." And then she goes swoosh and off with his head!!" Poland strikes a cool pose, then proceeds to do weird hand gestures.

"Ahhh~! She's so cool!! I hope she joins drama club!!" They squealed, flapping their wings happily.

'Yeah, I hope she doesn't.' Greece sipped on the soup, nodding their head at Poland's words.
