Emma Farmount
    The morning came with the sound of a siren.  All four of us jolted awake.  We turned around and saw Thomas' parents running towards us.
    "You have to go NOW!"  Thomas' mom whisper yelled at us.  What's going on?! Now I'm freaking out.  Alice gets her gear ready and pulls on her shoes, and clips a holster, with a handgun in it, to her pajama bottoms.  We all follow her lead.  Thomas' parents lead us upstairs and out the back door.
    "Sorry about this guys, but good luck.  Follow Alice and she will keep you safe.  We will see you when you get to the colony."  They hugged us all, and with that we were off.
    We ran for about 10 minutes until we were out of sight of the house.  Alice hurried us into a sewer. 
    "Okay guys here is the plan."  Alice pulled out a map to show us where we are. "We are going to go to my house first.  It is 6 ' o clock now.  If everything goes as planned we will be back on track to the colony by 7.  Any questions?"  Uh yes ARE WE GOING TO DIE!?  Instead of saying that I probably should keep calm.
    "Yea.  What was that siren?"  Well I probably answered everyone else's problem of what it was.  As long as Alice can answer this.
    "I wish I knew, but we can't focus on these things.  Sorry."  Dang. I thought she would know.  Oh well.  We got out of the sewer, and ran for about 5 miles before we made it to the neighborhood.  We got there though that's what mattered.  Before we went into the neighborhood, 4 Cia followers cornered us.  1 girl who looked to be about 18, 3 boys who ranged from the ages of 16- 25.  This was defiantly going to be a hard fight to win.  All four had guns and knives.  We all pulled out our guns.  Thomas and Alice pulled out knives for hand to hand combat.  Then the first shot rang out.  Not from the enemy but from someone from our side.  It defiantly hit someone.  Then I realized I was the one who took the first shot at the older man.  The girl charged at me with a knife.  I panicked and got tackled.  I started to punch.  I have no idea how to attack someone, especially when they have more muscle than me.  So I decided the best way out of this scenario was to hit her in the back of the head with the gun.  I saw Alice do this, and she knocked out a guy.  So I did the same and it worked! Surprisingly.  I heaved myself up to help the others then realized.  They already had taken care of everyone, well almost.  5 more people had shown up getting ready to attack.
    "Any advice Alice?" Christopher randomly asked
    "Yea fire, and stay alive."  With that Alice fired 3 bullets.  It hit a teenage boy in the leg, a middle aged women in the chest, and older man in the shoulder.  I ended up seeing the middle aged women die right in-front of my eyes.  I will never forget her face.  Those lifeless blue eyes.  The flower of blood seeping out of her chest.  How can Alice live with herself knowing she killed someone.  I will never understand her.  I was soon blasted out of thought with a boy shooting me in the bicep.  I tried not to stumble over and fall so I shot back hitting the boy inches from his heart.  I gasped when I realize everyone was either dead or knocked out.  Who killed who and is anyone else injured like me.  I looked next to me and saw just a few cuts and scrapes on everyone.
    "Is everyone okay?"  Thomas asked.  Christopher held a thumbs up like he's out of breathe.
    "Yea I'm great this is easy." Alice was so upbeat for some odd reason.  Does killing people give her energy or something?  What if-
    "Emma? Are you okay?"  Rather than seeing dead people and getting shot?  Well yea, I'm just peachy.
    "Yea I just got shot in my arm."  Immediately when I said the word shot  Christopher came to my side.
    "Okay then lets patch you up."  Alice said still upbeat.  She told me to sit down.
    "Well luckily it looks like  the bullet just grazed the side of your arm.  It shouldn't be too bad.  Lets just pour a little water on it then wrap it."  She took out her medical kit, then did just as she said she would.  I didn't feel any pain after she gave me a pain killer pill.  Once we got up and we were all a go we walked into a very unpleasant sight of a burning neighborhood.
