Chapter #5

Addison paced back and forth in the hospital room waiting for any news on Lisa. Her cell phone rang, disturbing her concentration.
"Hello?"

"Addy! Oh thank you Jesus! It's so good to hear your voice." Sally's voice boomed through her phone.

Sally an old friend, hadn't kept in contact up until a few months ago when Mark left, they became close but never really got to see each other face to face. Sally lived in Miami Florida and with her being in Minnesota it was quite the drive.

"Yours too." She tried to sound cheery but she knew she failed.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing.. Just news on Joy."

"No way!! Oh Jesus is answering prayers today!!"

Addison smiled at her friends enthusiasm.

"Hey Sally I got to go I'll call you later."
She hung up as the doctor came in.

"Lisa Reynolds?"

"Yes."

"She just got out of surgery. She won't have visitors until tomorrow morning."

Addison nodded and picked up her purse to head out the door, "Can we have your phone number so we can get ahold of you if something happens In the night?"

She gave them her phone number and walked out to her car. She walked to her Nissan as she got closer she clocked the unlock button but realized it didn't unlock. Inching closer she dad some thing move in the back of her car.

She pulled out her phone and dialed Kamdens number. "Kam." She whispered as she went behind a pole in the underground parking lot.

"Addison, Addison is that you?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Why are we whispering." He whispered back.

"Kam, some one is in my car."

"What?" She heard shuffling and then a door slam.

"There is some one in my car!" She whispered louder.

"Where are you?"

"At the hospital in the underground parking lot."

"Every person should know not to park in an underground parking lot."

"Well I'm sorry Mr.know-it-all!"

"Don't move. Stay put."

"Are you bossing me around even through the phone?"

"Addison I'm serious don't get curious and go and look in the Windows."

"I'm a very curious person."

"Curiosity killed the cat."

"Did you just relate to me as a cat?"

He huffed," I'm on my way."

Before Addison could answer, someone put there hand over her mouth.

Her phone slipped out of her hand as she grabbed onto the persons arm.
