Previous Story: Sundara & Sundari (Posted on 20- Jun- 2022)

I was a little confused when I wrote Sundara & Sundari, so this is the second track I had in mind while I worked on that story.

Since, the beginning is same, and you all know, how lazy I am, I am not rewriting/reworking on the beginning, just going to copy paste the beginning bits (except for the "so-called elder brother and the story starts with engagement instead of wedding).

Warning:

I wanted to write that innocent, immature, childlike, heroine. So, if that is not your cup of tea, do skip this story.

Omkara couldn't take his eyes off of her. this was not the first time he was seeing her. but this was the first time, she had taken his breath away. she was his father's friend's daughter and now, they were going to be related by marriage, his elder brother was marrying her elder sister.

She had been away at college and had just got back only recently but strangely they hadn't run into each other till today, the engagement day.

They grew up pretty much together but he had always considered her the kid because she was the youngest and he and his brother had their set of friends with whom he hung out with. He had pretty much ignored her with the kid status because she was younger to him by all of 4 years and now, he regretted it terribly. God, she is a true beauty.

Hearing his family call him, he goes to the stage and sees that the engagement was commencing. His brother turns to look at him and he smiles at him and Shivaay smiles back, then his gaze turning back to Anika. Omkara could understand that, his own gaze going to her, she was standing with her family near the stage, as she spoke to her friend.

He was watching her, when she looks at him, and seeing him, her eyes widen in surprise and she waves at him. he waves back. she turns to whisper something to her friend, but he just continued to look at her, dreaming of his life with her.

Omkara was looking for her when, "Hi Omkara!"

Surprised, Omkara turns back and sees her smiling at him. "Hey!!!" Omkara says smiling excitedly.

"Long time!"

"Loooong looong time!" Omkara replies. "How have you been?"

"Good... and you? you know, I was asking jeeju about you the other day."

"Really?" Omkara asks her with a sexy smile.

"So, what's happening at your end?"

"Same old... you tell me?"

"Are you seeing someone?" she asks him with an excited whisper.

"No... why?" Omkara asks her with a flirty smile.

"Awesome!" she says excitedly.

"I know."

"I know someone who is perfect for you!"

"What?" Omkara asks, his smile dropping.

"Yeah, my best friend... there she is." She points at a girl and he doesn't bother to look, his gaze locked on her.

"I think you guys would look amazing together."

"Hmmm."

"Do you want to go on a date with her tomorrow?" she asks excitedly.

"No." Omkara says.

"Why?" she asks pouting sadly.

"Can you tell your best friend something for me?"

"Sure." She replies smiling excitedly.

Omkara leans down and whispers to her. "Tell her, that I am crushing on her best friend and I want to go on a date with her best friend."

"What?" she asks in a shocked whisper.

"Ask her to convince her best friend and fix a date and place, and to let me know." Omkara tells her and walks off.

Omkara was talking to one of his relatives when he felt someone watching him, curious he turns to look and sees Gauri looking at him. the moment he looked at her, she moves back, hiding behind someone.

Omkara chuckles seeing that. he quickly ends the conversation with his relatives. he remained there as he kept an eye on her then he sees Gauri's head inching forward, the moment her eyes were on him, he waves at her.

Gauri's eyes widen and she again ducks back.

Omkara walks around the people and double backs to where she was hiding, then he waits behind her.

Gauri curiously, moves forward to look for Omkara.

Omkara quietly moves behinds her and asks in a whisper. "Looking for me?"

Gauri jumps in shock.

Omkara moves back as she turned to look at him. her eyes widen in shock, she turning pink with a blush.

"Oh Omkara." Vasundara says noticing him.

"Hello, Aunty."

"Did you need something?" Vasundhara asks curiously.

"Yes, Gauri." Omkara replies with a smile.

Gauri's eyes widen in shock.

"Oh did you need any help?" Vasundhara asks curiously.

"Yeah, I needed help to carry somethings up."

"Go, Gauri." Vasundhara tells her smiling.

Nodding Gauri starts to walk then seeing Omkara smiling at her, she quickly grabs hold of the girl next to her and drags her with her.

"Who is that? your best friend?" Omkara asks Gauri curiously.

Gauri nods.

"Won't you introduce?" Omkara asks her smiling.

"Erm... this is Ridhima and Ridhima, this is Omkara." Gauri makes the introduction.

"hello." Ridhima politely smiles at Omkara.

"Hi." Omkara smiles at her. the moment Ridhima looked away, he leans to Gauri and whispers to her, "We look more amazing together."

Gauri's eyes widen and turns to Omkara. "You were not joking?"

"Of course not." Omkara tells her.

Gauri stumbles.

Omkara quickly holds her. "Careful, love." Omkara whispers.

Gauri's eyes widen hearing that.

"If you open your eyes anymore, your eyeballs will pop out." Omkara tells her.

Gauri quickly lowers her gaze.

"So, Ridhima..." Omkara conversationally calls her.

"Yes?" Ridhima turns to him.

"Don't you think, Gauri and I look good together?"

Gauri turns to Omkara in shock while Ridhima curiously looks at them.

"Yeah, you guys do." Ridhima says smiling. "Why? Are you interested in my best friend?"

"That is very perceptive of you." Omkara tells her cheekily. "I am."

"Go for it, Gauri." Ridhima tells her as she nudges Gauri gently.

"Stop it!" Gauri whispers to her as she glared at her.

"Go for it, Gauri." Omkara also tells her.

"Chup!" Gauri tells him as she tried to glare at him but it was an impossible task with the way he was looking at her.

"Ridhima..." Omkara sweetly calls her as he looked at Gauri.

"Yes?"

"Don't you have anywhere else to be?" Omkara asks as he continued to look at Gauri.

Ridhima laughs hearing that. "Yes. I believe so."

"You are a doll." Omkara tells her as he smiled at her.

"Bye Gauri." Ridhima tells her.

"Don't!" Gauri quickly shouts at her.

"By the way, Gauri, where is that hottie that you wanted to set me up with?" Ridhima asks her curiously.

"Hottie, huh?" Omkara asks her with a naughty smile as he lightly hit her shoulder with his.

Gauri gulps as she turned pink.

"It was you?" Ridhima asks shocked.

Gauri looks at Ridhima embarrassed.

Ridhima bursts out laughing. "Oh babes!"

"I'm a hottie?" Omkara asks Gauri.

Gauri turns red with blush. "I meant... for her..." Gauri stammers.

"Not for you?" Omkara asks pouting sadly.

Seeing Ridhima walking away, Gauri starts to run behind her. "Ridhima, wait!"

Omkara quickly holds her hand. "You are coming to help me. did you forget?"

Having no other option, Gauri walks with him.

Omkara takes Gauri to the room Shivaay had used to get ready before the function.

He takes Shivaay's stuff and shoves into his bag while Gauri watched.

"Gauri, can you check if anything is left behind?" Omkara asks her as he looked around.

Gauri nods and checks around the room and the bathroom.

"Is this jeeju's?" Gauri asks curiously.

"Yeah, that's his trimmer charger." Omkara says as he took it from her and put it inside the bag and closes it.

"Let's go."

Seeing the phone charger plugged in, he unplugs it and was about to put it in the bag when Gauri asks him confused. "What did you want me to carry?"

Omkara gives her the charger. "Here, thanks." Omkara replies smiling.

Gauri takes the charger confused. "For this? You couldn't carry this?"

"Bag is heavy."

"You can put this inside the bag."

"Bag is heavy."

"Oh." Gauri frowns as she looked at him confused.

"So, did you think about it?" Omkara asks her as he led her out.

"Think what?" Gauri asks confused as she watched Omkara lock the room.

"About date."

Gauri gasps. "You are joking, right?"

"Never been more serious in my life."

Gauri's eyes widen and then shoving the charger into his hands, picking up her skirt, she runs.

Gauri waits for the lift to reach, the moment the lift door opens, she runs in and presses for the ground floor. The door was closing when it opened again and Omkara walks in as he sweetly smiled at Gauri.

Gauri looks at him nervously, darting her eyes around for an escape, then she starts to run out of the lift when Omkara blocks her path.

"Why are you running away?" Omkara asks her.

"I don't know." Gauri replies.

"Are you scared of me?"

Gauri shakes her head in negative.

"Did I scare you?" Omkara asks her gently.

Looking down, Gauri confesses. "A little."

"Awww baby." Omkara leans towards her. "But why?"

"I don't know."

"If I give you a kiss, will you feel better?"

"WHAT?" Gauri shouts in shock as she looked at him.

Omkara cheekily grins at her. hearing the lift door open, Gauri starts to leave when Omkara holds her hand.

Gauri curiously looks at him.

Omkara takes her hand to his lips and kisses her.

Gauri gulps as her heart started slamming against her chest. Omkara winks at her, blushing profusely, Gauri pulls her hand free and runs out of the lift while Omkara stood back and watched happily.

"God, baby, you're mine!" Omkara whispers as he watched her.

After the function, they all were leaving after all the guests had left. As Omkara was saying his bye to Gauri's family, he sees Gauri looking at him. he winks at her and she quickly looks down, he smiles seeing her cheeks turn pink.

He walks to Vasundhara and says, "I had bought some chocolates for you but I forgot." He tells her sadly.

"Oh." Vasundhara also pouts sadly.

"It's okay, I'll bring to your house tomorrow." Omkara tells her.

Vasundhara smiles. "Okay." then she curiously asks. "Which chocolates?"

"Which is your favorite?" Omkara asks her acting as if he wanted her to guess which chocolates he got for her.

"Ferrero Rocher?" Vasundhara asks him excitedly.

"Obviously!" Omkara replies smiling as he thought about from where he could get the chocolates.

Next day, Omkara looked around for Gauri as he sat with Vasundhara as she ate the chocolates.

"Remember, how you used to give me your chocolates when you were small because you never liked chocolates?" Vasundhara asks with a fond smile.

"Because you were my bestest friend!" Omkara replies grinning.

"You used to make me make pani puris for you in return." Vasundhara laughs.

Omkara chuckles.

"Then Jhanvi would scold me when you get stomach pain."

Omkara laughs. "You know, who used to snitch on us."

Vasundhara chuckles. "Gauri!"

Omkara chuckles. "She used to be so irritating, right?"

"She was upset that none of you played with her and you never gave her chocolates."

Omkara laughs. "She didn't know how to make pani puri."

Vasundhara makes a sad nostalgic face. "She used to be sad that you all didn't include her in your games."

Oh my poor baby! "She was always the kid." Omkara tells her softly.

"She still is." Vasundhara whispers.

Omkara grins as he leaned back on the couch and slyly scanned the area.

"Vasu..."

"What do you want?" Vasundhara asks suspiciously.

"What?" Omkara turns to her surprised.

"You call me Vasu when you want something."

"Don't be silly." Omkara waves his hand.

Vasundhara suspiciously looks at him.

"No, I was actually thinking..." Omkara says.

"What?" Vasundhara asks.

"Anika.... Bhabhi... now that she is Bhabhi..."

"What about her?"

"Not her... Shivaay and her... them..."

"Hmmm?"

"Shivaay was saying they are planning to meet later today."

"Yeah. Anika told me."

"You are so cool, Vasu."

Vasundhara smugly smiles. "Why?"

"You know, my friend, same like Shivaay and Bhabhi... knew each other from childhood and then parents fixed their marriage."

"Oh that is nice. Which friend is this?" Vasundhara asks curiously.

"That is not important." Omkara says waving his hand off. "You know like Shivaay and Bhabhi even their marriage was like a month after engagement. And they used to meet. And by the time, they got married, she was pregnant." Omkara whispers.

"What?" Vasundhara asks shocked.

"Yeah... but that won't be the case with these two. Our boy is shy." Omkara says.

"Yes... yes." Vasundhara says nodding her head feeling relieved.

"But my friend was also shy. Never spoke to a girl. They always say it is the shy one that you should watch out for."

Vasundhara worriedly looks at him.

"But that won't happen with us." Omkara says shaking his head.

"Yes... Anika is not like that."

"Yes... but these things are not planned... it just happens with the flow." Omkara says.

"Huh?"

"Anyway, it would have been nice, if you send someone to chaperone them." Omkara tells her.

"Oh." Vasundhara thoughtfully looks at him.

"Obviously you can't go, it would be so awkward for them, and they won't be able to talk with you around. I would have gone but what will I do there alone? I would be bored out of my wits."

Vasundhara looks at him disappointed.

"We could have send Gauri, but you know how she is."

"How she is?" Vasundhara asks confused.

"If they want, they can easily fool her. she is too innocent."

"She is." Vasundhara nods sadly.

"It's okay, Vasu... what is the worst that can happen? Baby will be born 8 months after the wedding. What matters is they are married when Bhabhi starts showing!"

"No... no." Vasundhara shakes her head panicking.

"Don't worry, Vasu. This is the worst case scenario."

"You go with them." Vasundhara tells her.

Shocked Omkara says, "No! I'll be bored."

"I'll send Gauri with Anika to keep you company."

"What am I going to talk with Gauri, Vasundhara Aunty?" Omkara asks her confused.

Vasundhara looks disappointed. "True... maybe one of your friends..."

"Even if I go with Gauri." Omkara quickly says cutting her off. "Shivaay won't agree. He'll kill me."

"no... no... I'll tell them that if they want to go out then you two should be with them." Vasundhara stubbornly says.

Omkara disinterestedly gives in. "I'll do it. for the family."

"Thank you, Omkara. you were always my best friend."

"Oh any time, Vasu." Omkara tells her as he side hugged her.

Now, where is she? Omkara looks around curiously. "Bhabhi and Gauri are not here?"

"Anika has gone for some work."

"Okay. Gauri has started office?"

"She is joining after Anika's wedding. She is sleeping."

"Still the baby." Omkara says grinning.

"Always." Vasundhara says smiling fondly.

"Okay, Aunty. I've to go." Omkara says as he stood up.

"You'll go with them, right?" Vasundhara asks him.

As if making a big sacrifice, Omkara nods.

"What is wrong with Anika's parents?" Shivaay asks Omkara in shock.

"What happened?" Omkara asks curiously as he continued to set his hair.

"They are insisting that you be with us when we go out." Shivaay tells him outraged.

"What?" Omkara shouts in shock as he continued to set his hair. "I've a life please!"

"Yeah!" Shivaay says exasperated. "Just tell them that you were with us if they ask."

"Dad and Mom knows?" Omkara asks as he looked at Shivaay.

"Yeah!"

"So, you ask them to cover for you."

"You know they won't!" Shivaay tells him shocked.

Omkara shrugs.

"Just come then!" Shivaay mutters giving up.

"What nonsense is this?" Omkara mutters as he looked at himself in the mirror. "Let's go."

"Where you going somewhere?" Shivaay asks curiously seeing Omkara already, all already to leave.

"I was bored, so I was thinking of going for a drive."

"Hi Bhabhi!" Omkara sweetly smiles at Anika.

"Hi Omkara." Anika smiles at him as she walked to the car with Shivaay and Gauri.

"Hey Gauri." Omkara smiles at her.

"Hi." Gauri replies as she looked down.

"Let's go?" Shivaay asks.

They nod and Omkara waits to see if Anika would sit in the front or back. noticing, she going to open the back door, Omkara quickly says, "Bhabhi, you sit in front. I'll sit at the back."

"You sure?" Anika asks smiling shyly.

"Of course, Bhabhi." Omkara benevolently says.

Shyly Anika sits in the front.

Shivaay grins at Omkara. Omkara smiles at him magnanimously.

Gauri smiles at Omkara for being so sweet. Omkara winks at her and kisses her in the air.

Gauri's eyes widen and she quickly runs into the car.

From the corner of her eyes, Gauri looks at Omkara.

She sees him take his mobile and type into it. As he said loudly. "God, Shivaay, stop staring at us!"

"What?" Shivaay asks confused.

"You're pissed that we are with you." Omkara says as he clicked the send button.

Gauri's mobile beeps and she quickly looks at her phone.

Hi darling.

Gauri turns completely pink

"I'm not pissed." Shivaay defensively says.

"I can feel your anger." Omkara replies as he typed into his phone.

Looking very beautiful, love.

Gauri turns red.

"I'm not angry."

"I can feel it in the air. You don't want us here!" Omkara says as he typed away.

Excited for our first date?

Gauri's eyes widen and she turns to Omkara in shock and confusion. "It is their date."

"See, even Gauri understood. She is trying to justify your anger." Omkara says.

"What?" Gauri asks confused.

"It is really okay, Omkara." Anika tells him.

"I feel so unwanted here. Like I am intruding in on you." Omkara says.

"There is nothing we can do, right?" Shivaay asks him exasperated.

"You can try hiding your irritation."

"What do you want me to do, Om?" Shivaay asks confused.

"Do one thing, just stop the car here." Omkara says.

"What?" Shivaay asks shocked.

"Just stop the car."

Shivaay stops the car.

"After you finish your date, pick us up from here."

"What?" Shivaay asks shocked.

"Us? Did you mean me?" Gauri asks shocked.

"Unless you want to intrude on a couple, yes, I meant you." Omkara tells her.

"But Mama told me to be with di." Gauri tells him frowning at him.

"Okay, then you intrude on them."

"I don't want to intrude on them." Gauri tells him offended.

"Then get down." Omkara tells her.

Gauri turns to Anika and Shivaay having no idea what to do.

"Let Gauri be with us." Anika tells Shivaay and Omkara.

Shivaay shrugs.

"Yeah, that is better. I can't babysit!" Omkara says shaking his head as he got out of the car.

"I am not a baby!" Gauri defends offended.

"if you say so." Omkara shrugs.

"I am not!" Gauri declares as she removed the seat belt and got out of the car.

"Gauri, you're going to stay with Om?" Shivaay asks her.

"Yes." Gauri says stubbornly.

"Always." Omkara whispers to her.

Gauri's eyes widen.

"Okay, bye. We'll pick you from here." Shivaay tells them.

"Bye Gauri." Anika tells her and waves at Omkara.

The car leaves and Gauri turns to Omkara worriedly.

"Let's go?" Omkara asks her smiling happily.

"Where?" Gauri asks shocked.

"I realized that I never gave you any chocolates ever. So, first we're going to buy chocolates for you."

"Why?" Gauri asks frowning.

"Because I want to buy chocolates for you."

"I can buy them for myself."

"But I want to buy for you."

"Hmmm."

"Come." Omkara tells her as he waved a taxi down.

"You tricked them." Gauri softly accuses him.

"You didn't fix a date." Omkara reminds her as he opened the car door for them.

"But they told us to be here." Gauri reminds him.

"They have a car, they will pick us up from wherever we are."

Omkara watched as Gauri ate her chocolate.

"Vasundhara aunty was saying that you used to feel bad when we never played with you when we were small." Omkara tells her.

"I used to feel bad." Gauri admits. "You used to play word games and I didn't know any words that time. by the time I learned words, the games were too silly for you all and you started playing games that I didn't understand."

"Aww sorry, baby." Omkara whispers.

"I don't like anyone calling me baby." Gauri makes a face.

"I didn't mean it in that sense."

"I know." Gauri replies blushing.

"Baby is your trigger word." Omkara chuckles remembering how easily he had got her out of the car.

"You all always said Gauri baby doesn't understand." Gauri says making mocking faces.

"I promise, we'll never say that to our babies."

Gauri turns completely red. "What happened to you? why are you like this?" Gauri shyly asks him.

"You don't dislike it." Omkara tells her smiling.

Gauri blushes, she didn't dislike the way he was behaving with her.

Omkara and Gauri were walking around as they talked when Shivaay calls them.

"He'll reach here in twenty minutes." Omkara tells her as he hung up the phone.

Gauri nods disappointed.

"I'll see you tomorrow, baby." Omkara tells her as he side hugged her.

"How?" Gauri asks him.

"Shivaay and Bhabhi." Omkara cheekily replies with a wink.

Gauri smiles shyly hearing that.

Omkara holds her hand and they walk out.

"Papa and Mama has told di and me that they would find our husbands." Gauri tells him.

Omkara chuckles. "They found Shivaay for Bhabhi, they will find me for you."

Gauri blushes hearing that.

Seeing the car coming, Omkara let's go off Gauri's hand and they walk towards the car.

"that was fast." Omkara says as he opened the door.

"Did you guys get bored?" Anika asks guiltily.

"Not much." Omkara replies.

Gauri's eyes widen and she turns to Omkara in shock. He cheekily winks at her.

"Thanks Omkara... thank you, Gauri." Anika tells them as she looked at them grateful.

Gauri looked at her contrite while Omkara smiled at her. "Anything for you, Bhabhi."

"erm... thanks, guys." Shivaay says.

"So, you guys meeting tomorrow?" Omkara asks curiously.

"Di and jeeju are planning to go for a movie." Gauri informs him on the phone.

Omkara stretches on his bed as he spoke to her. "Let them go."

"Di was telling jeeju to book for us too. She feels so guilty for making us scape goats when they spent time together."

"Scape goats?" Omkara asks chuckling.

"That is what she told him."

Omkara chuckles.

"I feel so sad that she feels guilty." Gauri tells him softly.

"If Shivaay finds out that we used him then he is going to be super pissed."

"Hmmm."

"It's okay, baby." Omkara gently tells her. "It's just for a little time more."

"After that?" Gauri asks him worriedly.

"I've been thinking. I'll tell you soon."

"Okay."

"So, do you want to go for the movie or do you want to go somewhere else?"

"Let's go for the movie."

"Okay, let me take care of it then." Omkara says hanging up.

"What you doing?" Omkara asks Shivaay as he walked into his room.

"Tomorrow, we are going for movie. Booking for you and Gauri also." Shivaay tells him.

"What? Which movie? Why should I come?"

"Anika wants you guys to come. it is her way of thanking you guys for all the help."

"Bhabhi wants me to come?" Omkara asks gently.

"Yeah." Shivaay mutters.

"Okay, I'll come then." Omkara says giving in.

"Hmmm."

"But I don't want to sit with you guys." Omkara says acting uncomfortable.

"What? Why?" Shivaay asks confused.

"It's awkward." Omkara replies shrugging.

"Why?"

"Don't you want privacy?" Omkara asks him shocked.

"Privacy in a movie theatre?" Shivaay asks perplexed.

For a second, Omkara wondered why Shivaay and Bhabhi have been so eager to spend time alone with each other. Then he shrugs it off, even he hasn't kissed Gauri yet. Need to take care of that soon.

"I don't want to sit with lovebirds." Omkara tells him.

"But I'm taking couch seats." Shivaay informs him confused. "What about Gauri?"

"For how long am I supposed to babysit her?" Omkara asks exasperated. "Fine, just book her seat with mine." Omkara mutters giving up.

"Stop being rude to her, Om. she is my sister now." Shivaay tells him frowning angrily at him.

Omkara shrugs.

"Stop bullying her."

"I don't bully her." Omkara frowns at him.

"You do. She is as much forced into tagging along with us as you."

"Fine, I'll leave her alone." Omkara says frowning.

He walks out as he took out his mobile and messaged Gauri.

Do I bully you?

No. You are always pampering me <3

Omkara smiles.

Will you always pamper me like this?

Omkara smiles and messages her. Always. Love you.

Shivaay had booked them on two ends of the theatre. Omkara and Gauri get settled in their seat while Shivaay and Anika sat in theirs.

Omkara holds her hand as they sat together.

"Mama told di that after today, she should meet jeeju only after the wedding." Gauri informs him.

"Can you come out?" Omkara asks her.

"Don't know. The wedding is so close; everybody is going to be busy." Gauri tells him sadly.

The lights go off. Omkara puts his hand over her shoulder and pulls her close. "Don't worry, baby. I'll come to your house then."

"You'll?" Gauri asks excitedly.

"Of course, baby." Omkara takes her hand to his lips and kisses it.

Gauri blushes happily.

"Om... di and jeeju will get married next week." Gauri tells him softly. "After that I'll also join office, so, we'll be busy."

"I was thinking, Gauri." Omkara gently tells her as he turned to her.

"What?" Gauri asks curiously.

"Let's get married."

"Yes!" Gauri excitedly says.

Omkara smiles happily. "Soon?"

"Very soon." Gauri tells him happily.

Omkara softly chuckles as he leans towards her and gently takes her lips in his.

Gauri wraps her hands around him and eagerly kisses him back. Omkara pulls her close to him and hungrily deepens the kiss.

As Omkara suggested the family decided to meet up for dinner at Gauri's house two days before all the functions were to start.

They all were sitting and chatting when Omkara casually asks. "Are all your relatives coming, Vasu?"

"What do you want, Omkara?" Vasundhara asks chuckling.

"What would I want? I was just asking." Omkara replies chuckling.

"Yeah, everyone should start reaching from tomorrow." She replies.

"What about our relatives, mom?"

"They should be arriving soon." Jhanvi replies.

"So, everyone would be here... huh?" Omkara asks.

"Obviously."

"Hmmm I say it is the perfect time to have both the marriages then." Omkara casually suggests.

"Both the marriages?" Tej asks confused.

"Yeah both, Dad." Omkara tells him as if it should be obvious to him.

"But who are they?" Jhanvi asks shocked.

Omkara looks at her in shock. "Shivaay and Bhabhi."

"But you said both marriages... as if there is another marriage..." Tej tells him confused.

Omkara looks at him exasperated. "Gauri and me, Dad!"

Gauri's eyes widen in shock as she worriedly looked at everyone.

"What?" Tej shouts in shock.

"Gauri?" Harsh asks in shock.

"Our Gauri?" Vasundhara asks in shock.

"Obviously."

"I knew it!" Shivaay accuses. "I just knew it!"

"You knew, Shivaay?" Vasundhara asks confused.

"No." Shivaay shakes his head as he stared at Omkara.

"Then?" Tej asks confused.

"He is not that nice that he would put aside his plans and tag along with us. I kept wondering why he was being so nice to us. I should have guessed it then." Shivaay says in shock.

"You tricked us into leaving you and Gauri alone." Anika says in shock as she covered her mouth.

"You two were alone?" Vasundhara asks Shivaay and Anika.

"They were alone too!" Shivaay points out.

"Wait... stop..." Harsh says confused out of his wits.

Everyone stops and turns to look at him.

Harsh looks at everyone confused then he turns to Tej and asks him helplessly. "Tej, what is happening here?"

"Damned if I know!" Tej replies.

"Gauri... do you want to marry Omkara?" Vasundhara asks her gently.

Gauri nods in yes.

Omkara smiles seeing that.

"Harsh, what do you say?" Tej asks him.

Harsh smiles. "Omkara is our son just like Shivaay."

"Oh my God!" Anika says excitedly. "Gauri and I am going to be married on the same day? we'll have all our functions together." Anika says as she hugged Gauri excitedly.

"Yeah, it would be nice. Everybody is here. We can have both the marriages together." Shivaay says. He couldn't go through two rounds of throngs of relatives and functions.

"No... no..." Harsh says shaking his head.

Omkara frowns hearing that.

"What no?" Tej asks confused.

"We'll get them engaged. Marriage after a year." Harsh tells him.

Omkara frowns hearing that, he looks at Gauri and even she looked disappointed.

"But why?" Jhanvi asks confused.

"Gauri is planning to join office. I want to train her like I did with Anika. If she gets married now, she would be busy. Let her get settled in office first." Harsh explains.

"Okay, if that is how you think it should be." Tej replies smiling.

"She can join office after marriage too." Omkara interjects.

"What is the hurry, Om?" Tej teases him.

Omkara shrugs.

"So, it's decided then." Tej declares.

"I can't believe that he tricked us to spend time with Gauri." Shivaay says shaking his head.

Everyone laughs while Vasundhara glowers at Omkara, and Omkara smiles at her a little embarrassed.

"Baby...." Omkara pulls Gauri aside.

Gauri smiles at him. "Are you excited about our engagement?"

"No... I want us to get married." Omkara tells her.

"Even I want to... but they didn't agree." Gauri sadly says.

"I am going to try and change everyone's mind... okay?"

"Okay. What should I do?" Gauri asks eagerly.

"Hmmm... when I ask isn't that right, you should say, yes."

"Okay, I will say." Gauri nods.

Omkara smiles so happy that she agreed without asking him anything further.

"Do you want me to say, 'whatever Omkara likes'?" Gauri asks him innocently, thinking he was going to tell everyone that he wants them to get married along with Shivaay and Anika.

"Oh will you say that?" Omkara asks her eagerly.

"Yes, anything for you, Om." Gauri tells him smiling.

"I love you, baby." Omkara tells her wanting to kiss her senseless.

"Love you too."

Noticing Vasundhara alone, Omkara goes to her. "Vasu..."

"What more do you want? I'm giving you my daughter." Vasundhara tells him chuckling.

"Oh Vasu..." Omkara chuckles.

Vasundhara grins at him. "You fooled me good."

Omkara cheekily grins at her. "Vasu... tell everyone that we should get married with Shivaay and Bhabhi."

"Why? What is the hurry? Next year is soon enough." Vasundhara tells him brushing it off. "She just finished college."

Omkara dramatically sighs. "Fine then! Don't blame me later."

"Blame you? for what?" Vasundhara asks confused.

"One year is too long a time to wait." Omkara tells her shaking his head.

"It will go in a jiffy."

"Even babies are born in a jiffy." Omkara tells her.

"What?" Vasundhara asks shocked.

"I can't promise that I will be a good boy for a year."

"What?" Vasundhara asks him getting angry.

"You know, if in case... you know... something happens.... Don't blame me. I am warning you now itself." Omkara tells her.

"My Gauri is an innocent baby." Vasundhara tells him angrily.

Omkara smugly tells her. "Gauri loves me. she never says no to me."

"What?" Vasundhara asks glaring murderously at him.

"Let's ask Gauri." Omkara says and he turns around and sees Gauri staring at them. "Baby, isn't that right, baby?"

"Yes." Gauri replies.

Omkara smiles at her.

"Whatever Omkara wants." Gauri says.

Nobody knew what had happened.

One second Omkara was talking to Vasundhara and the next he was running with Vasundhara running behind him with a butter knife threatening to murder him.

"What is happening?" Tej and Jhanvi asks them in shock.

"I'm going to kill him!" Vasundhara says as Harsh and Anika held her back.

"What happened?" Harsh asks her shocked.

"He is threatening me that if we don't get Gauri and him married soon then he will get Gauri pregnant." Vasundhara says angrily.

"WHAT?" Tej and Jhanvi shouts in shock.

"Did you say that, Omkara?" Harsh asks him angrily.

Before he could reply, Gauri asks him in outrage. "PREGNANT? You told me on full moon days the stars are close to the earth and that day nobody gets pregnant because of the cosmic rays!"

"What?" Omkara asks shocked and confused.

"You lied to me? will I get pregnant now?" Gauri asks him.

Omkara's heart fell to his knees hearing his innocent Gauri talking.... Craps?

"HOW COULD YOU OMKARA?" Jhanvi asks as she hit Omkara furiously. "HOW CAN YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AN INNOCENT GIRL?" she furiously hits him again.

"NO!" Gauri shouts as she ran to Omkara and hugged him tight. "I lied!"

"Gauri...?" Omkara asks shocked out of his wits as he hugged her.

"You lied?" Jhanvi asks confused.

"I heard him tell Mama all that. I was angry with him for being so shameless. I wanted to embarrass him. so, I simply said that. I am not so innocent that I don't know these things." Gauri argues with a frown. Then turning to Omkara, she tells him. "Sorry, Om."

"It's okay, baby. you shouldn't have said the truth. They would have got scared and got us married tomorrow." Omkara tells her disappointed.

"Jhanvi Aunty was hitting you." Gauri tells him sadly.

"that is okay." Omkara says shrugging.

"No, one can hit you. if they don't agree, we will elope but nobody can hurt you." Gauri tells him frowning as she hugged him tight.

Omkara smugly smiles. "Elope... huh?"

"If they don't agree."

"Before or after Shivaay's wedding?" Omkara asks her curiously.

"After."

"Okay, baby." Omkara says hugging her tight then he looks at their shocked parents and gives them his most innocent smile.

Epilogue

"Do something, Shivaay." Omkara furiously whispers to him.

"I'm trying." Shivaay mutters to him.

"Gauri needs me!" Omkara furiously tells him. "I should be with her." Omkara says panicking.

"Relax. She is going to be fine." Shivaay tells him.

"Get me out of here." Omkara orders Shivaay.

Shivaay wanted to hit his brother, for the first time in his life, he was inside a police station and that too because of his brother.

Shivaay gets up and walks to the inspector.

"Sir... please..." Shivaay hesitantly starts.

Inspector shakes his head.

"At least remove the handcuffs." Shivaay requests him.

"He tried running out of here twice." Inspector furiously tells him.

Shivaay turns to glare at Omkara, but Omkara was too stressed out to notice it.

"Do you have children, sir?" Shivaay asks him trying to emotionally blackmail the man.

"Yes."

"So, you understand how we are when our wife is in labor." Shivaay gently tells him.

"I don't think you or I have assaulted the doctor for our wives' labor pain." Inspector snubs him.

Shivaay takes a deep calming breath then he says. "The thing is, my brother, he told the doctor that he wants his wife to have painless delivery but my sister-in-law wanted to experience motherhood in all its glory and pain and refused to have painless delivery. Since she refused, the doctor refused epidural administration. Then when the labor pain started, and when she couldn't handle the pain, she asked to have painless delivery." Shivaay explains.

Inspector frowns hearing that.

"The doctor said it was too late now and seeing his wife in pain, Omkara punched him when he refused to listen to him." Shivaay says as he glared at Omkara.

"I can't do anything. the hospital has filed a case. You try getting his bail."

"Our lawyer is trying for the bail. My father and father-in-law are talking to the hospital management to withdraw the case. But for the time being, if you could just let him go."

"Shivaay, I can hear her screams here." Omkara says worriedly.

"If you can hear your wife who is in a hospital 3 km away from here then she is not human." Inspector tells him.

Omkara murderously glares at the inspector.

Hearing his mobile ring, he answers the call. "Hello Dad? Okay.... that's great... yes... we'll come now." Shivaay says in relief.

"Ask him how is Gauri?" Omkara worriedly tells him.

He turns to the inspector. "The hospital has agreed to take back the case. They will call you now."

"How is Gauri?" Omkara asks him tensed.

"She is fine." Shivaay tells him smiling.

Omkara sighs in relief. "Is..."

"I guess, I'll let Gauri tell you whether you've a son or daughter." Shivaay tells him grinning.

Omkara smiles in relief, his eyes filling up. "Thank you, God."

Omkara walks into the room and sees Jhanvi, Vasundhara, Anika and her son crowding around Gauri.

"Baby..." Omkara calls her as he hurried to her.

Everyone parts and he sees Gauri and sighs in relief.

Gauri smiles at him happily. "It's Sid." Gauri tells him smiling as she sniffed her tears.

Omkara walks to her and sees their son in her arms.

"He is so beautiful." Omkara says, his eyes filled up as he gently touched him.

"he is." Gauri tells him smiling happily.

"Are you okay?" Omkara asks her as he kept his hand on her cheek.

Tired and half dead, Gauri, smugly boasts. "I told you I can do it."

"Yes you did." Omkara says as he hugged her. "But we are not doing this again, right?"

"Never." Gauri replies.

But, man proposes, God disposes!!!

6 years later

"BABY!" Omkara calls out loudly. "BABY!"

"Yes, Daddy!" Sia comes running into the room excitedly.

"Huh... what?" Omkara turns to his daughter confused.

"Why did you call me, Daddy?" Sia asks him smiling.

"Erm... I was calling Gauri." Omkara tells her with an embarrassed smile.

Sia scowls at her father.

"Did you call me, Om?" Gauri asks as she walked into the room.

"Erm... yeah." Omkara replies as he looked at his daughter who was still glaring at him.

Sia turns around and storms out of the room muttering, "I am the baby. She is not a baby. she is an oldie!"

I know this story didn't have the falling in love part, I just didn't get much scenes of their romance ideas. But I hope you liked this crazy story.

Some had asked me for an epilogue story for One Night... where Gauri and Omkara have a baby and how it is going to be. So, consider the epilogue of this story an epilogue to that story too, just replace the word "baby" with "bachcha" and you'll have the epilogue for that story 😉.
