You are like a light for everybody in this world. If people build a city on a hill, then other people can see it easily. You must be sure that your light shines well. Then you will give light to other people. They will see all the good things that you do. Then they will praise God, who is your Father in heaven .' - Matthew 5:14, 16 EASY

Jesus says you are the light of the world.Everything you do, should show that you are truly of the light. 

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."
— 1 Thessalonians 5:5 (KJV)

We are children of the light. Children of the light produce light. So Jesus says something quite remarkable. Our lights are supposed to shine well. And why? So that we can give light to others. In the family of God, everything is about giving and sharing.  Let's take a close look at how things operate in the kingdom of Heaven. 

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
— John 3:16 (KJV)

For God so loved. God loved. In loving us, He gave us His Son. Why?  So that we believe in Him and so that we do not perish.  Why do we need to have lights that shine very well? To give lights to others. Do you have a friend that doesn't have the light you have? Share the light you have. When people see your light, they are exposed to your good deeds and in that exposure, the Father is revealed unto them.  We shine our lights in order for others to see glory of the Father. Just like Jesus did. 

"Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake."
— John 14:11 (KJV)

How will people believe that God lives in us? By the fruits they see and by the good we do. The works we do manifest the realness of God to others.  Not everyone easily believes in the presence of God. Some people won't even recognize God and just call Him a 'higher power.' While God is truly powerful, that's not all that He Is. Jesus revealed God to us in the deepest revelation ever. Jesus revealed God to us as the Father. That's more power than a higher power! You might find It hard to fellowship with a higher power, but you can fellowship with God as your Father. God is as much our Father as Jesus is His Son.

¹⁶ The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

We are joint-heirs with Christ! This means that everything that Jesus has in the Father, is also ours. As long as we are connected to Christ, we have all we need in this world.So be a light and manifest the presence of the Father in the lives of those you touch. 

In the name of Jesus, Heavenly Father we thankyou. We bless your name. We magnify you. We glorify you. Be to us our light. Beto us our salvation. Be to us our joy. Thank you for loving us and sharing with usthe light of Jesus. May you help us to share the light we have with otherpeople. May you help us to manifest your presence in the lives of those weencounter. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen..
