And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all]. Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

The Bible mentions a few qualities that make us people who can easily enter the kingdom of Heaven. The bible says, "Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this child is the greatest." What kind of child is Jesus talking about?  One who is trusting, lowly, loving and forgiving. To enter the kingdom of God, we need to have the qualities that are mentioned above.

Let's think a little about how children are. You can shout at a kid. Correct a kid and even beat a kid and they'll still come back to you. You'd wonder at their response. Why would you go back to somebody that hurt or beat you, and still be able to have some sort of relationship with them? 

Here's where we struggle as believers. The older we get, the harder it seems to become like a child. One correction by another person can make us harbor Unforgiveness.  But to enter the kingdom of God, we have to be like little children. Children who are trusting, lowly, loving and forgiving. 

Our biggest problem might be in the area of forgiveness. Its hard to let go of something that was done to you. Its actually very hard. That's why its also good to ask God to make us like little children in our hearts. We can pray ask God to make us  people who can withstand all things and still have a heart that can forgive.  By loving, trusting, being lowly and forgiving, it makes us great! Imagine becoming great just because we learned how to forgive!

As we fellowship more with God, we'll see the need of forgiving other people. Forgiveness makes us have a relationship with God. That's how powerful the act of forgiveness is. When God said He'd forgive us, its only because He wanted to have a relationship with us. Forgiveness creates room for the continuity of a relationship.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
— 1Jn 1:9 (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us. God forgives because He sees a way in which we can have a relationship with Him. Without that forgiveness, there wouldn't be a relationship. That's why children are great! They forgive. Forgiveness is a way for the continuity of a relationship.  To enter the kingdom of God, we need to be lowly, loving, trusting and forgiving. 

In the name of Jesus, Father we thank you. Webless your name. We glorify your name. We magnify your glorious name. Thank youfor teaching us the ways of the kingdom of God. Thank you for showing the wayto kingdom of Heaven. Teach us how to be lowly. Lord teach how to love and howto trust in you. May you also teach us how to forgive. In Jesus' name we pray.Amen.
