Ask and you shall receive

Monday, 07 December, 2020

Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
Matthew 7:7‭-‬8 AMPC

Jesus gives us yet another brilliant way of Praying. Prayer that persists is prayer that is answered.
The bible says, "Keep on asking and it will be given you; keeping on seeking and you find; keep knocking and the door will be opened to you."
There are three realms of prayer in this verse. There's a place of asking the Lord what we want in prayer.  There's also a place where we just seek the Lord in prayer and just love Him.Finally, there's a place where we knock and intercede on behalf of other believers.
In each realm, prayer is being offered. So Jesus shows us the way of reaching out to the Father.

Nothing should ever make us not pray. Nothing should ever make us keep quiet about what we need to talk about with the Lord.
God wants to hear our prayers. God wants to answer our prayers. Its in praying continually that our prayers are answered.

I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who [are His servants and by your prayers] put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silence, And give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her a praise in the earth.
Isaiah 62:6‭-‬7 AMPC

In Isaiah we are told not to stop praying. Is there something that should make us not pray?
Should sickness prevent us from praying? Should problems make us not pray? Should difficult circumstances make us not pray?
Nothing in this world should ever make us not pray.
The bible has all the reasons why we should pray.
God wants us to seek Him prayer.
In whatever we do, we should never forget that prayer that is consistent is prayer that gets answers.

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];
1 Thessalonians 5:17 AMPC

We should always pray as the Bible puts it. Prayer is talking to God and as we pray, we'll also discover that God speaks back to us.

Heavenly Father, we thank you. We bless your name. You are Amazing. You're mighty. There's no one like you. Help us to pray more earnestly. Help us to pray with more faith that we'll receive everything we pray about. We thank you for we believe that you have answered our prayers. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
