Billy was born from an American parent; Dan and Karen O'Hara. Unlike his other siblings, Billy was known as a mistaken birth as his parents no longer want a child after his sister; Erin was born a year before him. This made him always be abandoned by his family. He seldom gets a new cloth and is always being blamed every time his sibling does something wrong. Can't stand this, at the age of 12, he sent the video of his performance on the pitch to a football agent. This caught interest by Peñarol FC in Uruguay to sign him to their developmental team. Once he got this offer, he told his grandparents about the news. Seeing him being so interested, his grandparents decided to allow him to go and support him in finance without informing his parents. In the academy, Billy managed to adapt with the new surroundings quite well. At the age of 17, he joined the senior squad and managed 17 league goals in that year. At the age of 18, he was granted citizenship of Uruguay. A few months later, Billy received news that his grandfather died in a car crash. A few weeks after, his grandmother died due to heavy depression. After the funeral of his grandmother, he was approached by someone that bring a news that will change his life forever.
