Weeks later...

"So... Did you tell Astrid that we're leaving soon?" Valka asked Hiccup.

"No not yet. I forgot to tell her yesterday. I'm just gonna call her." Hiccup said and went to the telephone and called Astrid

Conversation through phone:

Astrid: hello?

Hiccup: hey Astrid. Its me, Hiccup. I really don't want to say this but... I'm leaving.

Astrid: what! Why?

Hiccup: well my dad the 'mayor' wants me to experience about his mayor duties and he will also let me do one mystery solving or detective work.

Astrid: you like being a detective or agent or spy.

Hiccup: *chuckles* ya... Before I leave, I have a present to give you. And is it okay that you'll take care of Toothless for me?

Astrid: ya sure... When are you coming back?

Hiccup: I guess when I'm 19 or 20. Well somewhere there.

A: okay. Hope to see you soon.

End of conversation

"Should we go to Astrid's house?" Valka asked.

"Ya sure. Just let me get Toothless and Astrid's present." Hiccup said.

"Okay." Valka said.

Hiccup went up stairs to his room to get Toothless and Astrid's gift.

---Time skip---

Hiccup is already at Astrid's house. Hiccup knocked on the door and Astrid opened it.

"Hey Astrid. Here's your gift." Hiccup said and gave Astrid her gift which is a blue bird with some yellow feathers at the wings and tail. (It kinda look like a parrot but it mostly look like the one from Rio, Blu's wife. I kinda forgot the name of that species.)

"Wow! I love it Hiccup!" Astrid said and hugged Hiccup.

"Ya I know you would.. So what are you gonna name her?" Hiccup asked.

"Hmm... Stormfly. I'm gonna name her Stormfly." Astrid said and Stormfly tweeted.

"Oh and here's Toothless." Hiccup said and handed Toothless to her. "I'm gonna miss you bud." Hiccup said to Toothless while patting him. Toothless meowed.

Astrid hugged Hiccup again together with Toothless. "I'm gonna miss you." Astrid said to Hiccup.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Astrid." Hiccup said.

After that Hiccup went home.

Hiccup was bored inside his room without Toothless. Toothless is the only one that keeps Hiccup in company inside his room whenever he feels lonely. So all he did is watch the TV or listen to music to make him feel in company. But it didn't really work. He just feel like lonely like he was before. When he was 3 he was a bit of an embarrassment to his father. Then ever since when Astrid came to their town he wasn't lonely or feel embarrassed anymore because of Astrid's kindness. That's why Hiccup liked her. And also Stoick his father gave him Toothless just to keep him in company.

On Astrid's house, Astrid is having fun playing with her new bird Stormfly and Toothless which she will take care until Hiccup will return once they are adult. Astrid is now patting Toothless.

Astrid sighed. "It will be a long 9 or 10 years for me to see Hiccup again." She said. Toothless meowed sadly because of how many years he is going to miss his best friend and the same time owner. Stormfly tweeted softly by the sad sound of Astrid. "Its okay girl." Astrid said patting Stormfly.

Knock knock

"Astrid, its me." Astrid's mom said.

"You can come in mom." Astrid said.

Astrid's mom opened the door and entered. She went to Astrid's bed which where Astrid is lying down patting Stormfly and Toothless.

"You okay?" She said while brushing some of her daughter's hair.

Astrid sighed. "Ya I'm fine. I'm just gonna miss Hiccup... So much." Astrid's eyes are starting to get watery. Filled with tears.

Astrid's mom smiled "its okay. You'll see him soon... Looks like my little warrior is in l-" she was cut off.

"Mom?!? Don't say the L word." Astrid said.

Astrid's mom just chuckled. "I was just teasing a little. But it looks true you know. I know that you have feelings for Hiccup." She continued.

"Fine." Astrid said in defeat. "I like him okay." She continued.

"Hmm... I know dear. Now. I already prepared dinner for all of us. So let's go down." Astrid's mom said.

Toothless and Stormfly started to jump around when they heard Astrid's mom say 'dinner'.

Astrid and her mom chuckled by the sight of Stormfly and Toothless jumping.

"Well looks like someone here is very excited to eat. Shall we?" Astrid's mom said and they all went down to eat their dinner.
