Church & Sexuality
OH MY GODS it's almost scary seeing those two words in the same title. Lol.
Anyway I have been part of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints since I've been born I can agree with quite a few of the quote on quote "commandments" we are supposed to follow like try not to have sex before marriage or love thy neighbor or whatever. But there is one that I cannot agree with, that you cannot participate in homosexual relationships and be a part of the church and that you can't get married in the temple. And to that church it's like a big deal to get married in the temple. And I'm over here like "Let me get this straight they can't have things they were promised because they were honest about who they are?!" That is complete and utter bullshit. They should be able to be happy in a relationship just like any other straight person without people thinking that they're doing something wrong, when they're not. They don't need your damn temple they can be happy and be who they are at the same time. Like they spout shit about how "If you have homosexual feelings then you can just like become a nun and you don't have to pursue them!" But what's wrong with that? Why can't you pursue your feelings?, what's wrong with wanting to be happy? You're supposed to love everyone, how can the church say that they love everyone and except them but they're stopping people from being happy?! "If they pursue same-sex relationships then they lose blessings!" If they can be happy without them, then they do not need them. I no longer believe in the church because of their views on people of the LGBTQ+ Community, why can't love just be love and leave it at that. Why does it have to go to such a point where you're saying that they're sinning by being with who they love??? They are doing nothing wrong because if that was the case, then straight people are wrong too for being who they are, for loving who they love. There is nothing wrong with being who you are.
