A sudden wave of dizziness passed through Khushi and she held her head tight, blinking her eyes furiously, wishing for the dizziness to go away.

Stabilizing herself, Khushi walked to the kitchen and gulped down a glass of water, wetting her parched throat.

The yells at Arnav had exhausted her and so was the reason for her increased dizziness.

Taking Anjali's leave, Khushi once again congratulated Lavanya and walked back to her house, turning down Aakash's offer to drop her home.

Khushi can't let anyone know that she wasn't staying with her family anymore.

A few days passed with Khushi continuing to avoid Arnav. Arnav, too initially, angry at Khushi, avoided going in front of her. His ego had hurt by her questions. But his urge to see Khushi had turned down his ego in a span of two days. And he was back to admiring Khushi from far away.

"Wrap these strings of flowers around the pillars." Khushi ordered one of the flower man and walked over to the other to instruct him about the perfect decorations she needed done for mehndi.

"Oww!" Khushi took hold of the sofa and bent slightly rubbing her free hand over her stomach.

Khushi felt the pain inside her stomach increasing and that increased her worried about the baby.

Baby, please be safe. I can't lose you. You are all I have. Please be safe.

Khushi murmured to herself and dragged herself to sit on the sofa.

"Khushi Bitiya, are you alright?" Asked Nani as she saw Khushi drag herself to the sofa.

"Yea Nani, everything's fine. Just stomach ache. I probably need to eat less." Khushi faked a smile at Nani.

"You should take care of yourself, Bitiya." Nani scolded her sweetly.

It won't be wrong if Nani accepted of how much she admired the young lady full of positive energy.

"Hello Hi Bye Bye, go home and rest, Phati Saree." Mami suggested.

Nani and Khushi looked surprised at Mami who quickly added of how she didn't want to see a fainting session of Phati Saree in the house.

However, Nani agreed to Mami and asked Khushi to go back home.

"Mohan isn't home but Chhote is. He can drop you on his way to office."

"No Nani. I can manage."

"But bitiya-"

"Nani, it's just a stomach ache. I'll be fine."

"Okay!" Nani agreed still unsure of letting Khushi go alone.

Agreeing to them, Khushi took leave and decided to visit the doctor's clinic before she headed for home. She needed to make sure that her baby was safe with her.

*

"You are too young to carry a baby, Khushi. And earlier too, I have said this. You are straining more than required. I agree, there's a wedding at home and you are helping but that doesn't mean you neglect your or baby's health. As your well wisher, all I can say is take care of yourself and wat healthy. Do not let any stress take over you, okay? I am also prescribing a few iron tablets. Take them on time." The doctor said.

Taking the doctor's leave, Khushi walked out of her cabin and heard her mobile beep with an incoming message.

Opening her inbox, Khushi walked out of the clinic to haul an auto.

"I had asked you to take an abortion, Khushi. I am not accepting the baby ever. So why take the pain of carrying an illegitimate child?"

Khushi's eyes widened in shock and rage took over her.

Gritting her teeth, Khushi hauled an auto and said, "AR Designs."

How dare you, Mr. Raizada? This is the heights. What do you think of yourself?

Khushi hurriedly paid the driver and rushed inside the gates of AR not minding to greet the security who looked at her confused. It has never been that Khushi walked into AR and not greet them.

Shrugging the thought of what might the matter be, they got back to their work knowing Khushi-ji's crazy ways.

Khushi pushed open the door of AR and marched towards the reception, anger evident in her eyes.

"Where is Mr. Raizada?" Asked Khushi angrily banging her hand on the desk.

The receptionist gulped seeing Khushi's anger for the first time.

"Khushi, he's in his cabin-" Khushi didn't let her complete and marched up the stairs.

"Khushi, he is in a meeting with the designing team." She yelled but Khushi paid no ears to her words.

You are so dead, Mr. Raizada.

Khushi pushed open Arnav's cabin's door and huffed an angry breath.

"What the he-"

"I need to talk to you, Mr. Raizada." Khushi cut Arnav and said in a stern yet angry voice.

"What the! Wait till I complete the meeting, Ms. Gupta." Arnav gritted angrily.

"I said, I want to talk to you, Mr. Raizada - N-O-W." Khushi glared angrily at Arnav who glared back at her, angry for the interruption.

"Go back to work. I'll call after I am done having a talk with Ms. Gupta." Arnav ordered, not taking his eyes of Khushi.

But today those angry pair of eyes didn't scare Khushi. Rather they just made her feel annoyed with the heartless man standing in front of her.

Closing the door behind the last employee, Arnav strode towards Khushi who stood on her ground, refusing to step back.

"What do you think of yourself Khushi? How dare you just walk into my cabin and interrupt my meeting?" Arnav yelled at Khushi grabbing her tightly from her shoulders.

How dare she first ignore me and then walk to me saying she wants to talk to me?

"How dare you, Mr. Raizada? How dare you ask me to abort my child? Agreed that you don't want the child but who gave you the right to decide if I should abort my baby or not?" Khushi yelled back at Arnav wriggling out of his hold.

"What? What did you just say?" Arnav asked confused and added, "Abort the child? You are pregnant?"

"Oh, stop acting so innocent, Mr. Raizada. You disgust me. Asking me to abort my child and then behaving as if you don't know anything." Khushi yelled at Arnav. She was done with this arrogant jerk.

"Khushi, are you pregnant?" Arnav asked anger consuming him.

"What the hell is wrong with you, dammit? Why can't you just stop acting as if you are unaware of my pregnancy? Why are you doing this? Isn't asking me twice to abort my child enough to bring back the memory of messaging me to abort my baby?" Khushi ended up in tears at the memories of his heartless behaviour.

How could you do this, Arnav-ji?

Arnav's heart pinched at the sight of Khushi's tears.

Confusion was clear in his eyes and he walked to Khushi. Cupping her face, Arnav said softly, "Khushi, tell me once that you are pregnant with my baby, please."

Arnav said. From everything Khushi accused him of, his mind was stuck to the point where Khushi said about her pregnancy. Khushi was pregnant - with his baby.

Oh God! My Khushi's pregnant.

"Don't you dare, Raizada." Khushi pushed away his hands and glared at him as she added pointing at her flat stomach, "This is my baby - only mine! How could you be so shameless to call it your baby after asking me to abort it?"

Arnav ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and said controlling his anger, "Khushi, for the first and the last time, I hadn't asked you to abort our baby, okay? Why will I want to abort my own child?"

Khushi wiped her tears furiously.

This guy surely needs a piece of my mind.

"Oh really? You did not want me to abort my child? Then-" Khushi swiped her mobile screen and opened the first message she had received.

"Then what is this? And-" swiping to the next message, she showed it to him, "And what about this? Sent just about 25 minutes ago? What do you have to say about these messages? Did your ghost come and send me these messages?"

Arnav took the mobile from her hand and looked at those messages. Indeed those were sent from his number. But-

Arnav took his mobile from the glass table and looked through the 'sent' section of the messages. To his surprise, Arnav did not find any such message sent from his mobile. It dis not take long for him to understand that someone had tricked them.

But this wasn't the time to find who did it. He needed to handle Khushi. She thinks he has sent the messages while he hasn't.

"Khushi, look I am not lying. I really don't know who sent those messages to you." Arnav said calmly.

Khushi looked at Arnav in disbelief.

Closing her eyes in frustration, Khushi gulped a glass of water from Arnav's desk and said, "Denying the fact, are we, Mr. Raizada?"

Seeing Arnav take a step towards her, Khushi stopped him saying, "Don't even dare to take a step near us. I am done with you and your ego. I have come here to let you know of my decision. I am not going for any sort of abortion. This is my baby and I am going to give birth to my baby. That night was a mistake for you, but not for me. So just make sure to never utter anything about my baby. My baby is better off a father like you."

Khushi opened the door and walked out of AR angrily. Khushi felt nice letting things out of her system. She needed it. But her heart pricked. She recalled the tears in Arnav's eyes when she said about her baby being better off him.

Why were there tears in his eyes? Didn't he call the night as a mistake? Didn't he ask me to abort my baby? Then why was he sad when I said that my baby is better off him?

Khushi mused but walked off to her house hurriedly as she heard the lightening strike the sky.

*

Khushi's mobile rang and she walked to pick it up putting the first morsel of food inside her mouth.

Khushi looked confused seeing Anjali calling her.

Why would Anjali-ji call me at ten in the night?

Khushi picked up the call to come hear the worried voice of Anjali.

"Khushi-ji, is Chhote with you?"

What?

"No, Anjali-ji. Arnav-ji isn't with me. What happened, Anjali-ji?" Asked Khushi.

"Chhote hasn't reached home yet, Khushi-ji. When I called in the office, they said that in the afternoon you were the last person who met him. Since then he hasn't met anyone and now he did not even come back home. Do you know where might he be?" Anjali spoke hurriedly, worry for Arnav clear in her voice.

"Don't worry, Anjali-ji. Arnav-ji might have had a dinner conference with someone." Khushi tried consoling Anjali.

"I called Aman too but he said there was no scheduled conference today." Anjali enlightened Khushi.

"You relax, Anjali-ji. I will try finding Arnav-ji. Don't worry, Anjali-ji, he'll be fine." Khushi consoled Anjali, worry for Arnav eating her up too.

"Aman-ji said that he walked out of AR since long. Shyam-ji and Aakash have gone to search him but they did not find him." Anjali cried.

"Don't cry Anjali-ji. He'll be fine. I am sure of that." Khushi said and cut the call not waiting for Anjali's reply.

Laad Governor, who does he think he is? How dare he just disappear and not pick anyone's call?

Khushi took her purse and opened the door to see heavy rain pouring down. But at the moment, all that mattered to her was that her Arnav-ji wasn't home and he wasn't even picking anyone's call.

Khushi's house was near to AR Designs and she decided to ask the security at the shift.

Khushi walked to the security, dragging her raincoat close to herself.

"Ramesh-ji, do you know where Arnav-ji have gone?"

"No, Khushi-ji. In fact, I haven't seen him go out with his car." Ramesh informed Khushi.

Khushi's eyes widened and she rushed inside the gates of AR.

You are so dead today, Arnav-ji.
