*Melody Pov*

"So you got to know what actually happened." I Questioned Amy when we were taking our late morning stroll.

"Yes! I was wrong in judging him before even knowing what happened." Amy replied looking away.

"He understands you and that's all you need." I said patting her hand.

"What about you?" She asked staring at me.

"What do you mean?" I questioned her confused.

"Why don't you tell him what happened? Your nightmares will reduce." She replied.

"Today he heard my nightmares but I couldn't bring myself forward to tell him everything." I said remembering today morning.

"But why? He is a kind guy." Amy pestered.

"You don't know Amy. He may be kind for now but in the end we can't ignore the fact that he is a man and also a King who gives importance to their duties and responsibilities." I uttered in stern voice.

"But..." she started to say but I cut her off saying "He already said he may not even be fond of me in near future as he nearly hated me before our wedding that he was ready to take my life away."

"When did he tell you that?" Amy asked surprised.

"Before leaving for here but after the incident we caught coming here I started replaying his words so much that whenever I get near to him I only hear those words most of the time." I replied closing my eyes.

"But... but.. you are.." She trailed off not knowing what to say.

"It was just for heir and which he is getting." I said shaking my head.

"I am sure he will not touch me in that manner again." I added not feeling shy sharing with her as I have no one to do all these except her and she does the same.

And I am sure his kisses are for the happiness he is feeling for the heir. These people may label my child as some heir but the child will be my life whom I will protect from anyone if I had to.

"So he will not want you anymore?" Amy asked doubtfully.

"No! He will not and I am sure of it." I replied confidently.

In the evening he again called me inside his chamber infront of his parents while we are taking our evening stroll making me close my eyes in embarrassment.

"King Kendrick! Can I make a request?" Those are the words I uttered when I walked inside his chamber.

"Sure Melody!" he replied bolting the door at again making me close my eyes.

"You shouldn't utter those words infront of anyone. It..is embarrassing for me to be present near them by hearing your order." I said still closing my eyes.

"I will not repeat this but you need to promise me." He said and my eyes immediately opened.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"You have to be here in my chamber with me everyday." He replied making my eyes go wide.

"But that is not proper." I said in whisper.

"I stayed with you in your chamber in Velimar haven't I?" He questioned.

"That is different King Kendrick. Here we cannot do that." I replied in whisper.

"I know! I am not asking you to shift here fully but just stay with me in nights here." He said sighing.

"But.." I started to say.

"I just want us to live like we did in that one month which we spent in velimar in every way." He said holding my face.

"In every way?" I questioned him closing my eyes slowly.

"Yes!" he replied walking me towards his bed I guess.

"But.. I am with child." I said frowning not understanding why does he want me.

"I will be careful. Is there any problem Melody for you to be with me?" he asked making me sit on his bed like yesterday.

What do I have to tell him? I do not have any objection because I trust him and I even trust his touch to which I am not backing away after yesterday night.

The only thing that is pulling me back is why does he want me? Isn't it supposed to be ended after I bear our child? I heard these words from many stories I have heard.

I know they were past stories but still..... My thoughts stopped when I felt his lips on mine asking me whether I have a problem with it.

"I want our child to be safe." That's all I uttered deciding it.

"With my life." He whispered and laid me on his bed.

We both just got lost in our passion and I hugged him after he drifted off into sleep feeling terrified that I trust him more than I thought and I still love him the same.

But he doesn't and that thought brought me to reality making me hug him even more tightly.

*Kendrick Pov*

I woke up with a smile evident on my face and patted to my right to feel the empty space. I frowned opening my eyes to see Melody is not even in her place.

I rubbed my eyes and wore my breaches to check her room. I entered her room to see she is getting ready and Amy is helping her.

I walked back frowning thinking why did she not wake me up and just left me here. Then I glanced outside to see it is little late than I usually wake up everyday.

I shook my head and got ready myself. I entered the library to see Juan already waiting for me to discuss about the protection of both Kingdoms.

"I thought I was late to reach here but you are even late than me." Juan uttered grinning.

"Why were you late?" I asked him frowning.

"I woke up early to have a morning stroll with melody but slept after the stroll feeling sleepy." He replied.

"She had a stroll today morning?" I asked him stopping in my tracks.

"Yes! She was there even more early than everyday with Amy." He replied.

I frowned hearing that and walked towards my chair to sit down. I rubbed my forehead thinking what actually happened that she didn't even stay with me.

"Is the morning stroll important for her health and the child?" I asked him and he nodded confused.

"Ok then! Let's discuss and finalize it before Albert reaches here next week." I said opening my plans.

"Did you inform her?" Juan asked.

"I forgot to!" I replied closing my eyes.

"Well you are in trouble." He said smirking.

Indeed I am! I thought nodding my head.

In the night I didn't said anything like yesterday wanting her to be in my chamber infront of my parents like she wished.

She entered like she promised even though not in words. I smiled at her working a little sitting near the table and she smiled at me little.

I paused everything and walked towards her to hold her in my arms again. After sometime we both are lying on the bed and she is glancing at me every second.

"Are you not going to sleep?" She slowly asked.

"I am very deep sleeper and not used to wake up before sunrise. Will you wake me up before going for stroll?" I asked her.

"I have Amy, Juan and Shan with me in the morning and I like to spend some time with them and they will be free without your presence. You are assisting me in the evening which is enough." She replied indirectly that she doesn't want me with her in the morning.

"I need to tell you something." I whispered.

"What is it?" She asked glancing at me.

"Albert is going to be here next week." I replied and held her tightly fearing she will just move away.

"Ok!" That's all she uttered making me glance at her in utter shock.

"You are not going to say anything?" I questioned her still wary about her reply.

"The old King of the Kingdom which got into an alliance with our Kingdom is coming here to talk about the matters which must be regarding the two Kingdoms itself. What do I have anything to say?" She questioned me back making me speechless.

I nodded and slowly drifted off into sleep thinking I must get used to her surprises as soon as possible.
