I hopped out of my red car, with the map of Gotham city clutched in hand. I walked around the car, shutting the door behind me and stopped infront of the small shop, which looked really old, at the corner of the street, with the name Haley Life, scribbled on the top, with the letter e missing.

I scrunched my eyebrows. Definitely Poison Ivy must be here. I was so sure, I stuffed the map in my back pocket, and entered the shop, pushing the door, and the bell tied to it, jingled and the sound echoed around the dimly it shop. I squinted my eyes and looked around, coughing slightly from the dust lingering in the air. There were flowers, but they almost looked dead and old.

One of them had turned brown. The blooms are quite browned and have deposited decaying petals on the dusty wooden table. The sight of the flowers disgusted me. The roses, once red, rest as a repulsive brown.

What the hell?

I searched around the shop for any living person but to no avail, but almost screamed when someone bursted in from a door, I didn't notice before.

"Customer!" That female person exclaimed, clapping their hands, and I looked up to see a woman, with a blue cap and shirt with jeans on. She looked muddy and dirty.

"Um." I said, "I'm looking for Poison Ivy." I said, looking at her as she moved around the small shop, shifting pots and clearing soils.

"Oh. We don't have them anymore lady." The person said, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

Did she mean the flower?

"No." I said, "I'm looking for a person."

She turned around and put her hands on her hips, raising her eyebrows. Her green eyes looking fresh like grass.

"Make up your mind, lady. Poison Ivy or Person?" She asked and then realisation dawned on me.

"Poison Ivy?" I asked her and she gave me a smug smile.

"What ever do you mean?" She said innocently. Then, I realised that she was disguised. She was playing with me. She suddenly took off, walking to the door which she came in from and I followed her, almost jogging after her. She was so fast.

Once inside, I stopped walking and my jaw dropped, hitting the green grass. The air was perfumed by the heavy scent of the lilies, roses, daisies, jasmines, hibiscus, orchids, and many more. The flowers danced gaily in the breeze, a myriad of vibrant colour. My eyes went to a daisy flower. Every petal lies perfect under the sun, white, yet kissed pink at the tips. I bend onto my knee to glance at the flower. I admire the roses planted neatly beside them, looking perfectly like round-blood drops.

One by one, I pass each flower, taking my time to admire the beauty of it. It was a huge garden. And, I don't think a day would be enough time for me to look around. "Wow. Poison Iv--"

"Just call me Ivy." She said, behind me, her voice dreamy and silky like last time. I turn around and give her a smile when I see her in her true form, with the orange kissed hair flowing on her back.

She looked stunning.

"Ivy. You have a beautiful garden." I said, looking around once more.

"Oh." She said. "You haven't even seen the best part of the garden."

"Show me!" I almost exclaimed, desperation seeking and dripping down in my tone and her smile widens even more as she started walking and I followed her, admiring all the flowers as I walk to where she was taking me to.

"Voila." She whispered theotrically, and pulled a curtain, seperating the garden and showed me more flowers. What actually amazed me was that, I had never seen those flowers in my life before. And, they were so beautiful.

Some were huge, the size of a elephant's head, some were tiny, some were colorful, some were green, some were tall, some were short. They were all unique in their own way and I walked in, one of them caught my eye and I walled towards it. It was rich blue. A dark blue, with purple and pink splattered, at the edges, like ombre. It gradually turned into dark black in the centre. It was so beautiful.

I looked above and saw the title.

The Flower That Never Dies.

"Are you serious?" I asked, not believing, my eyes widen, and my mouth forms an o shape. She laughs at my funny expression and shakes her head yes.

"These flowers are not from earth. They are my secret collection and I don't really share them with anyone but I have a feeling I can trust you." She said, giving me a smile.

"Wow." I breathed out, "I didn't know flowers could be so beautiful."

"You got to be kidding me!" I exclaimed, looking at a rich orangey-red flower which looked like it was lot on fire. I walked closer to it, and realised that the flower was actually on fire. It was so beautiful. It shaped the flower, creating a beautiful golden colour, emanating from it.

It had been two hours since I have arrived at her flower shop and I have been having the time of my life, admiring each and every flower, and Ivy explained their medicinal purposes, especially for those flowers which were not from earth.

Some of those flowers even gave inhuman super powers. That is just extremely cool. I also came to realise that Ivy is actually a really nice person, when you get on her good side.

"You never told me why you came here in the first place." She said, giving me another round of herbal flower tea and I politely refused, already feeling full.

"Oh." I realise, "About that ... Did you know that I hel--"

"Helped the psychotic killer clown escape and now you are searching for him because he abandoned you?" She finished for me.

"What!" I exclaimed, stunned. "How do you know that?"

"I know ev--"

"Everything." I finished for her, and gave her a cheeky smile. She rolled her eyes and gave me a look.

She was thinking and I remained silent. A few moments of silence followed and I waited patiently for her to say something. Something to help me find him.

"Mm." She thought. "Before I tell you, I think safety is important first." She said, narrowing her eyed at me and asked me to follow her.

I do as she say and she leads me to a room, looking like a lab, like a garden-flowery-lab. She trailed her fingers across a glass shelf and stopped at a specific flask. Pouring the contents in the flask in a small white cup, she gave me the cup.

"Drink it." She said.

"What? Why? What is this?" I asked.

"It is a mixture of the essence of those flowers that you saw earlier." She said. I realised what she meant by those. The ones that were not from earth. "It gives you strength, flexibility, immunity to toxins and diseases, increased agility and speed."

I gape at her. Not believing what she is saying, and what she is implying.

"Why?" I asked, almost speechless and feeling flustered.

"Believe me." She said, her voice low and serious, and I don't remember hearing her speak like that before. She really means it. She is practically a god to me. I mean, she knows everything. "You need it."

If god herself is asking me to do something, I think the smartest idea would be to follow it.

My heart raced as I looked down at the drink in my hand, feeling thrilled and at the same time feeling happy that Ivy trusts me enough to give this to me. I can feel my pulse pounding in my temples. I bit my lip and blinked furiously. Silence lingers in the air and I let out a huge breath.

After a few more seconds of hesitation, I lift the cup and drink the sweet liquid, pouring them into my mouth.
