Dedicated to EATABLES

It's their first Karwa chauth after marriage and Omkara had come from his hostel to celebrate it with Gauri.

Third person Pov

"Om, please try to understand this fast means lot's to me and I want to do it. Not for you but for the belief I have on my god" Gauri stated.

"Okay, I got it, you are not going to let go of this idea of fasting. But please don't do fast without eating anything or at least have some drinks tomorrow. I don't want you to get sick and you know how weak you are" Omkara was trying to get some middle path so his worries can be reduced.

"For god sake, it's a strict fast. I won't have anything , not even water till I see the moon" Gauri Angrily replied. She was trying to convince him from so long now her mind was hot with his stupid ideas.

"Okay, so if this fast is so important for you than I will do it too"

"What the hell? Why will you do it?"

"For the same reason"

"Om please understand I'm Doing it for your good health and life"

"So I will do it for your good health and life"

Gauri just shook her head. She knew very well she couldn't do anything in this matter.

Omkara was a hell stubborn creature.

"As you wish"

With the decision both were in their own peace, Gauri was feeling glad somehow she did convince him. Omkara was feeling better at least he was going to give her company in this stupid fast.

He did believe in God but not in this stupidity. According to him no fast can increase anyone's life.

"Papa has invited all of us, mom dad will come in afternoon we need to leave early morning. So, after sargai we will leave" Gauri informed him.

"Okay, Gishi"

"Btw Om, did you even have done any kind of fast?" Gauri asked curiously.

"Hmm, actually I have done. Don't worry I will manage" he kissed her forehead before settling on bed beside Tam-tam and her.

Gauri wanted to know about his experience but it was rare that he didn't say anything about his experience or what fast he did.

Gauri shrugged her shoulder and held Omkara's hand on her stomach and pulled it up to her lips. She kissed his palm.

No matter how much this guy irritated her but she knew, he was just trying to save her from unnecessary trouble. How can she make him understand that superstitious or not she will do whatever will make him healthy and give him a long life.

After all she wanted to be with him always and forever, and there was no big deal in making that forever longer with some fast. She had done fasts before and it's not a big deal for her.

When Gauri woke up early morning for sargai, she saw how peaceful her husband looked hugging Tam Tam. She clicked his picture.

She kissed his forehead.

"Wake up" she softly said and caressed his hair.

He didn't react at all, she shook him little.

"What Gishi?" He murmured sleepily.

"You need to get fresh in some minutes for sargai"

"Give me 5 minutes"

"Okay" replying that Gauri left to get fresh and ready for herself when she returned for her surprise he was already up.

"Come down once you get fresh"

"Okay" he kissed her forehead.

Omkara always kissed her forehead. It was his way to start his day.

While Jhanvi and Gauri were arranging, Sargai Gauri asked her mom "mom, is Om good in fast? I mean will he be able to keep it till end"

Jhanvi chuckled "do you have any idea how many fasts he has done?"

"Huhh?"

"He have done many fast and I'm sure you will love to know which one"

"Which?"

"I think your husband should answer this"

Gauri was looking at mom not knowing what she was hinting at. Omkara joined them for sargai.

"Let's have sargai" Jhanvi said and they all had some sweets and fruits in the early morning at 4:15am.

"Gishi, you really want to go this early to home?" Om asked.

"No actually it's too early. Let's sleep for a while" Gauri said as they entered the bedroom.

Om pulled her in his arms and circled her waist with his both hands.

"Or we can do something better than Sleeping?" He asked, eyeing her lips.

"It's not allowed on fast" Gauri moved out of his hold.

"Really? I thought it's most romantic fast"

"It is, we can do it after completing the fast" Gauri replied shyly.

"I love the way you blush, like it will be our first time"

Gauri glared at him.

"Seriously Gishi, you have multiple personality disorders. Otherwise tell me how can a girl who blushes like a virgin, becomes wild and bold on bed" Gauri beat him with a pillow.

"Okay sorry, I was kidding. But seriously you behave like two different people"

Gauri tried to control her blush which was totally out of her control.

"Omkara, which fast have you done in the past?" Gauri asked suddenly remembering mom's words

She noticed a very light blush on Omkara's cheek. It came and went in just no time.

"It's nothing" he tried to ignore the question.

"I want to know, tell me" she walked and stood in front of his eyes.

He scratched his neck, why was he getting nervous? Gauri thought.

"I did Monday fast, Shravan Monday" Gauri looked at him not knowing why he was getting nervous in telling her this.

"You know 16 Mondays"

"What?" Gauri shrieked.

Omkara gulped, he was sure she would react angrily since he was saying all these things are superstitious and he, himself did some superstitious fast.

Looking at his expression she realised what he must be thinking. She hugged him.

"Thank you" she mumbled, still holding him.

She should have already known what mom was hinting at. He did 16 Monday fast for her. She knew how much this guy loved her but don't know how every time she realises he does more than she thought.

He is right; he loves her more than the word love can ever convey.

"I love you so much, Om" they broke the hug and looked in each other's eyes.

"The peace, the feeling of completeness I feel with you is incredible. Even if in this moment I die I won't mind" Gauri said as her happy tears made their way.

"Gishi, please don't talk about dying. I had waited for you my whole life. I can do anything to be with you. My heart was beating just because of hope of loving you" he wiped her tears.

"I will die if anything happens to you" he kissed her forehead.

"Shh, don't even say all this nonsense" Gauri scolded him.

"Okay, you remember when your papa told me that you won't be mine and my dad asked me to start accepting the truth. That time I heard somewhere about this 16 Monday fast for getting a desired partner. So, I did it for you till last year. This year you are my partner so I did only 4 Shravan Monday" he explained as Gauri already knew his nature of sharing his experience and his past.

They both had faith in God because no one else could had wrote a story of Promises like theirs.

Later they drove to Gauri's home. They enjoyed the whole day and in the evening they heard the Karwa Chauth story smiling at each other. Anika, Shivaay's fiance joined them. They both had kept fast for each other too.

When finally time came to completing fast, Gauri looked at the moon and then at Omkara. She thanked the whole universe for writing him in her name.

They both made each other drink water, and fed sweets so lovingly.

Later at night they stayed at Gauri's old home. They fed each other dinner making all others tease, as always teasing had no impact on Omkara while Gauri turned red with shyness.

Omkara who was already loving his red goddess as she was wearing a very beautiful red net saree. Looked all more beautiful with blush. He was having very hard time in controlling his desires.

Soon every wife complains about their husband not being romantic, which leads to a discussion and all guys come up with only solutions to feed their wife with their hands.

Once done with dinner Omkara and Gauri retired to their bedroom.

"You know Om? I love being here because all these toys made me feel like a baby once again" she took Brinky in her hand.

As mentioned in the chapter 39. Brown one is brownie, pink one Pinky and their baby small one Brinky.

"You know what memory I have from this bedroom?" He asked as he hugged her from back.

He kissed her shoulder blade. Approving saree in every way. She was wearing a red net saree. It was suiting her white complexion and making her goddess.

Gauri's breath becomes uneasy as Omkara's hand moves on her bare stomach.

"Huhh" she mumbled, unable to form any words.

"Our first love making" he swiftly lifted her in his arms and moved to bed.

He very softly placed her on bed "I hope you are not tired" Omkara looked at Gauri who was blushing.

"Even if you were, I hope you got charged enough to handle me the whole night," Omkara said and winked.

"Stop talking and get to work '' Gauri pulled Omkara's collar and claimed his lips.

As the kiss started Omkara chuckled mentally at his wild and bold wife. It was the last thought he had in his head as passion, love and desire took over him.

This was the night of love and they showed their love to each other in whatever way they could.
