Heading To Hell
Brae's POV
It's been a day since Riggs and Grey arrived and I already want to pull out my hair. Riggs seems to try to be near me at all times as if trying to reveal my secrets.
Grey is just lounging around, looking bored out of his mind. I can tell he didn't want to tag along with Riggs in the first place.
Right now I am in my office, going through paperwork when my phone rings.
"Hello, Beta Kingston speaking." I say.
Yes, I answer the phone as Beta because if we go to help a pack, Ace steps in pretending to be an alpha.
"Hello, this is Alpha Jake of the Moon Pack. We have been getting increased numbers of rogue attacks and would like your help."
I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, "Let me get Alpha Marks for you," I manage to say.
As I bring the phone down from my ear, I hear him say 'weak'.
'Ace, I need you in my office now,' I shakily says.
He bursts through the office door and I hand him the phone while I try it steady my breathing. He give me an 'are you okay' look and I just shake my head.
"This is Alpha Marks."
"Alpha Marks, this is Alpha Jake of the Moon Pack. I am calling to ask for your help with rogues. We need your training for my best warriors."
Ace looks at me with understanding in his eyes and then he is unsure of what to say. We never turn down a pack. I give him a nod.
"We will come later on today," Ace replies.
"See you then."
The phone line goes dead and Ace hangs up the phone.
"You don't have to go if you don't want to," Ace tells me and I know he is right, but I have to go.
"No, I need to go and face them. Enough running away," I say with new found determination. "Can you start packing, I will be up in a minute."
When we got back I unpacked Ace's belongings in my room and he brought over the rest of his stuff later on.
I open my office door and come face to face with Riggs.
"I swear to god Riggs, stop eavesdropping. Remember that you are on my territory, not yours."
"Sorry. What are you doing?"
"Ace and I are leaving to another pack today, you can either stay here or go back to your pack house."
"What pack?"
"That's classified."
"What pack Brae?" He uses his Alpha tone with pisses me off.
I pin him against the wall with my hand around his throat, "Don't you dare use your Alpha tone on me Riggs. Have you already forgotten when happened yesterday? I am pretty damn strong so don't you dare use that tone with me," I use my Alpha tone which surpasses his and he looks down.
I let go of his throat and walk out the door, heading to mine and Ace's room.
"I swear if Riggs doesn't leave soon I am going to snap his neck," I tell Ace.
"What happened now?"
"He used his Alpha tone on me. Me!"
Ace gives me a hug, "Calm down babe, let's get packing so we can get away from him."
"Run from one frustrating person to another," I mumble.
Ace chuckles, "You can still stay here is you want."
"And deal with Riggs, I would rather deal with a thousand Jake's before putting up with Riggs for another hour."
We both laugh at my comment and I start packing. Ace grabs our stuff from the bathroom and we are soon packed.
We bring our bags downstairs and head for the door.
"Are you leaving me here Brae? I thought we were friends," Grey pouts.
I laugh, "Sorry, we have to go to another pack to help them. You are welcome to come if you don't tell Riggs where. I need a serious break from him."
"Tell me about it, we grew up together and I haven't gotten a moment alone since I met him, you just met him two days ago."
I chuckle, "Go grab your bag and meet us at the front."
His expression is priceless, he looks like a giddy school girl. Hadley comes up to us.
"Leaving so soon?" She pouts.
"Yes, sorry Hadley. You are in charge, not that mate of yours, okay?" Ace says.
"Of course, have fun."
I snort out a laugh, "Yeah, that won't happened. I will try not to kill anyone though."
"That works too. Safe drive!"
"Thank you."
We head out to the car and I throw my bag in with Ace's in his car. Grey comes running out of the house and jumps into the back seat of Ace's car with his bag.
He rolls down his window, "Let's leave, like right now. An angry Riggs is on his way. Step on it!"
"Why are you in the back seat?" I ask.
"I thought you would want shotgun," Grey replies.
"I'm taking my bike."
Grey sighs and hops in the passenger seat and Riggs is running out the front door of the pack house. I throw on my helmet and race out of the driveway behind Ace. As I am about to turn the corner, I flip off Riggs.
Once out of town Ace pulls over and I stop beside his door, lifting my visor.
"Do you want to lead the way?" Ace asks.
"How do you know where we are going and not Ace?" Grey asks.
"I have been there before without Ace. Sure I will lead, when we get there, I might need a minute though. Alright?"
Ace nods and I put down my visor and start driving towards hell. It takes about three hours to drive there and once we get into their town I pull over and Ace parks behind me.
I hop off my bike and head over to his window, "You go straight down this road and take the second right into the forest. That road will lead you right to the pack house."
"Thanks, let me know if you need anything."
I salute him and get back on my bike. I drive off to a nearby cafe that I recognize from my walks to school when I was apart of this pack
I park in a front spot and walk inside with my helmet in hand. The bell rings and everyone looks at me. I see some of my old pack mates eating and then some are working as waiters and waitresses.
I sit down at the counter and out my helmet on the seat next to me.
"What can I get you?" A waiter asks in a monotone voice.
"Coffee," I order.
He turns around and starts pouring coffee into the cup, "Want anything in it?"
"No," I answer and start sipping on my coffee.
Once I finish my coffee I pay and take a deep breath as I stand and head out of the cafe. I notice two boys standing by my bike and I roll my eyes as I walk up to them.
"What can I do for your boys?"
"What are you doing on our territory rogue?" One boy snarls.
I roll my eyes, "I'm not a rogue you idiots, I'm here with the Blood Paw Pack. I was just grabbing a coffee before meeting up with Ace at your pack."
"I don't believe you," the other boys growls.
"I really don't care what you believe." I push past one of the boys to get to my bike.
The boy grabs my shoulder and pulls me back, "You are coming with us."
"I will meet you there."
The hand tightens around my arm and I smirk. I grip the guys wrist and twist it causing him to let me go. I punch him square in the nose and kick his stomach. I turn to the other boy and dodge his punch to my face. I flip him to his back and punch his temple, causing him to pass out.
The other boy stands up, a little uneasy on his feet so I grab the back of his head and knee him in the face. He falls to the floor unconscious. I then notice that I gathered a little audience of wolves.
"Anyone else feeling lucky," I smile.
No one steps forward so I strap on my helmet and pull out of the parking lot. A few minutes later I am pulling up to the pack house where all my nightmares live. I take off my helmet and step off my bike.
I'm back bitches.
