In the days following the Mall incident, the group, penniless and without a place to call home, would manage to get money or food by doing whatever errands or work possible wherever they could find it...

And so several days passed... until one afternoon, while Javi and the rest were preparing breakfast around the campfire, they came to see Team Rocket heading towards the city pier.
The group decides to follow them without being seen... and they arrive at a gigantic Cruiser, which apparently is controlled by Team Rocket. Several members were getting cages into the Cruiser, containing Pokemon stolen by the organization.

Ditto: That's very sad and dangerous! The Pokemon they have in cages are probably suffering a lot, and Team Rocket doesn't care.
They only care about making money from the sale of the Pokemon. I think we should do something to try to save them!

Javi: Yes... also, remember what they did to Charmeleon. They will not only sell them, they will also do experiments with them...
We can't stay without doing anything... What do you say if we think of a plan to rescue them?

Charmeleon: If we don't do something... If we don't rescue them... Then these Pokemon are going to be lost forever!
We have to do something, we have to find a way to get inside the ship without being detected, and save the Pokemon that are still there!

Mawile: I can't believe they dare do such things to them, it's horrible!
How are we going to get on the ship without being detected? I don't have any plan that can help us...
I don't know how to make plans, guys, I'm just someone who looks like I'm going to bite others if they irritate me...

Javi: If it's about getting in undetected... We could steal one of their uniforms.
I could pass as a member of Team Rocket, and you could pass as the organization's Pokemon. Well, except for Mewtwo, which I suppose would attract a lot of attention...

Mewtwo: I can think of 2 ways...
1. Lure one or more of them somewhere and then trap them... and make the switch.
2. Disguise as one of the employees and use a master key to enter.
Although with plan 1, we would have to be careful that if we catch them, they don't communicate with any of the others who would be staying in their place. So, we have to come up with something to separate them.

Javi: Attract one of them... Attract...
Hey... what if Garde uses Attract on one of them to bring it to us? That way we capture him... and also... Garde, you could even get information about the Cruise from him.

Garde: Good idea! Let's see, let's try...

Gardevoir gets a little closer to a group of recruits, and catches one's attention.
She begins to pull the Team Rocket member with her "Attraction" attack, causing the recruit to fall into a deep trance and walk over to where Gardevoir is standing, with a blank look in his eyes.

Gardevoir starts laughing sadistically as the Recruit looks at her in fear and the scene is censored for the reader's sake.

After 1 hour, Gardevoir ends the "session" and the Recruit is in a catatonic state.

Mewtwo: You've probably been so brutal to him, that he hasn't been able to say a word, or move in the entire "session"

Garde: Mewtwo is right, and now the Grunt looks completely drained.
I think it's time we get as much information out of him as possible and then figure out what to do next, as I don't think we should let him go free again to continue working on the Cruise and tell his mates everything we've done to try and stop him.

Gardevoir uses Hypnosis on Team Rocket Grunt, leaving him completely unconscious and immobile for 10 minutes, during which time Gardevoir can get all the information she needs.

Javi: Hey Garde... and after all this, why didn't you use Hypnosis before the "session"?

Mawile: That's right... if Gardevoir had used Hypnosis earlier, the "session" might not have been necessary!
How can you say that to her? It's likely that if she hadn't used it, the Grunt would have run away!
Javi, you can't be so rude to Gardevoir, she's a very good Pokemon and I love her very much, I admire her, and if she hadn't done the "session" on him, we could lose the direction of our whole plan!

Javi: Ehm... it's true Mawile... Sorry Garde, for questioning your plan :(

Charmeleon: Very good! We all agree that Gardevoir does whatever it takes with Team Rocket Grunt, as long as she gives us the information we need and the way to go, in order to save the Pokemon still on the Cruiser, right?
Now, Gardevoir, do you think you can get the information we need out of this Grunt, before the effect of "Hypnosis" wears off?

10 minutes later, Gardevoir tells them that there are 90 Pokemon trapped in the cages.
Each cage contains 10 Pokemon.
She also makes a drawing of the map of the Cruise, based on the mental map she was able to see during the Hypnosis.

Javi: Ahem... I present to you... Javi, the new Team Rocket Recruit >:D

Javi returns after putting on the Recruit's clothes and the clothes don't favor him at all...

Ditto: Haha, Javi! Your costume looks badly photoshopped! XD
But now is the time to be serious...
Gardevoir, since we have the information we needed thanks to your "session", shall we let him off the hook?
Or do we leave him catatonic forever? Or do we take him with us? Or do we erase his memory with Hypnosis and leave him with the Pokemon in a cage? Or any other thing...
The only thing is that we can't go off lightly with him like that, we have to decide what to do to him!

Javi: I say we leave him tied up and gagged with a note to the police... in true Spider-Man style...

Mewtwo: Like Spiderman, I like it.

Mewtwo ties the mouth of the Team Rocket Grunt and leaves a note in his mouth, which reads:
"Attention, this is a Team Rocket Grunt"
And he leaves it in a place where the police can find him and can see the note.

Mewtwo: We already have all the information we need, so we can head to the cages site to try and save the trapped Pokemon.
Don't worry if things get turbulent, with Gardevoir we have a good chance of success.

Javi: And don't forget that we have the master of disguise: Ditto.
Listen, Ditto, can you transform into the Recruit we captured? So we could enter the Cruise. The other Recruits will recognize the recruit's image when they see you and they won't be suspicious, at least at first...

Ditto: Glad to help, and besides, I can transform my body into any shape you want, so I can transform into the Grunt we captured, so we can get inside the Cruiser unsuspected! It's a perfect plan!

Ditto transforms into the Grunt that Gardevoir captured, and it was so good that it looks identical to the real thing.

Javi: Well, we're almost done, so I want you to listen to my idea:
As you know, most of you have your Pokeballs except Charmeleon. And I think we can use them to our advantage, since you can hide there for as long as necessary.
My idea is that we split into 2 rescue groups: one formed by Ditto, Mewtwo and Mawile. And the other group formed by Charmeleon, Gardevoir and me.
Since Charmeleon doesn't have a Pokeball, I'll pass it off as a captured Pokemon and carry Garde in her Pokeball.
Garde will also help me with the location of the cages.
Meanwhile, Ditto, transformed as the Grunt, will carry Mewtwo and Mawile in their Pokeballs. And they'll have the map Garde drew, to find the other set of cages.
Gardevoir and Mewtwo will be in charge of keeping both groups telepathically communicated...

Charmeleon: That's a good plan! I think the important thing now is timing, and acting fast to be able to rescue the caged Pokemon. And avoid any mishap or any obstacle that Team Rocket has on the ship. So, first of all, I think we should all agree that unnecessary confrontations with the other members of Team Rocket should be avoided. And only go in to save the Pokemon that are still in the cages. And so we can prevent it from being more dangerous than this operation already is.
We don't want to die!

Javi: This is not an easy mission...
(Wait... what am I doing? I'm putting together a rescue party, but... am I forcing them to do this?)
Hey... guys... if you don't want to do this... I mean, it's dangerous, and I think I'm pulling you into doing this with me-

Mawile: What are you talking about Javi? We want to be with you on this...they're caging Pokemon who are just like us... it's a personal thing...

Charmeleon: That's right, Javi! Just like you rescued me, we want to rescue others!

Mewtwo: Actually, I thought we were forcing you, Javi! Haha, I'm glad you want to do this as much as we do!

Ditto: I want to be a hero, Javi! We will all be heroes!

Garde: Javi, we support you without hesitation, we are in this together and I want to support you as you support us :)

Javi is moved to hear them. With a smile on his face, he looks at each of them, feeling stronger.

Javi: Thank you... everyone...

Team Rocket is not a game, we must take care of each other and be responsible...
As Charmeleon said, we don't want to die...

I want you all to know... to know that you are the best friends I have ever met! And each one of you, you are the strongest Pokemon in the world!

Charmeleon... you are my brother. Thank you for accompanying me from the beginning. Without ever asking me for anything in return...
Ditto... you are someone unique. It doesn't matter if you like to bite butts or play pranks on Mewtwo... you always cheer us up in difficult times...
Mewtwo... you get stronger every day and I know that one day you will develop all your psychic abilities, and you will show the world what you are capable of. Because to me, you are already someone strong and invincible...
Mawile... even if you don't remember your past, you have a great future. You are the most adorable and strongest Pokemon in the world, and it is impossible not to become fond of you.
And Garde... thank you for sharing your memories and so many things with me. It is something I will never forget... I hope I can always live up to your trust... and your heart of gold...

Javi places his hand in the middle of the group, palm down.

Gardevoir hugs Javi tightly and smiles at him affectionately, while crying with happiness.

Garde: I feel very grateful to be part of this group, and to have you as family and friends.
On the one hand, I couldn't do this without you, and on the other hand, all the moments that we have spent and continue to spend together, do not compare to anything in the world.
I am happy to be who I am with all of you, and to be able to continue this journey with you.

Gardevoir joins in and places her hand over Javi's.

Mewtwo: Yes, thank you all for accepting me, even though I feel weak and don't have many powers, it never bothered you. I am also very happy about this group, we are like a family. So really, and not pay lip service... I love you all very much! :D

Mewtwo reaches out and places his hand on top of Garde's hand, and they all stand in a circle of trust and friendship.

Ditto: Sometimes I feel like I'm not worth much... that if it wasn't for the abilities of my transformation, no one would want to team up with me... But now I know that's not true. I'm as valuable a Pokémon as you are! And I have to thank you all, for accepting me regardless of my shortcomings!

Ditto extends his hand to place it on top of the others

Mawile: It's true... I was a straying Pokemon, drifting without knowing what to do... and Javi said a few words to me that will remain in my heart.
Thanks to him I was able to realize what I wanted to do with my life, and now, thanks to the kindness of all of you, I am happy :)

Mawile extends her hand to place it on top of the others, with a huge smile of thanks. Then, she begins to cry with happiness, while she hugs Javi with enormous love, unable to speak of her emotion.

Charmeleon: My Shadow Aura was healed... and thanks to Javi, I can feel love and friendship towards all of you. And thanks to my friends, I am learning to love myself and to love myself just the way I am. That is priceless.
Thank you Javi! Thank you Gardevoir! Thanks Mewtwo! Thanks Ditto! Thank you Mawile! Thank you all for receiving me and accepting me as a friend.

Charmeleon places his hand on the hands of the others, and looks at Javi with affection and gratitude in his eyes.

Javi: Well guys... I think now we need a battle cry for the group...
Any ideas?

Mewtwo is thoughtful for a moment.

Mewtwo: I like the battle cry that the legendary Mew had...

Javi: Ehm... I like it a lot... but it's a bit... hard to remember XP
How about something shorter? Something that shows that we are weirdos who don't fit in, but that we can still make a difference...

Ditto: I think we should have a name, so I suggest we be "The Misfits." The name fits us, and it also sounds like the name of a superhero team!
We don't have a battle cry... But we do have a voice to shout, to tell everyone who we are, and that we know it!

Ditto looks up at Mawile's face with a huge, loving, grateful smile, as if he's truly found a group of friends who appreciate him despite all his quirks.

Mawile: I really like it! The name "The Misfits" feels very much like us!
It is a name that identifies us a lot! And I think we should have a phrase to tell everyone and let them know who we are, the Pokemon that don't fit in, and that we know we are the best!
I think that for that we can have a phrase to shout, like superhero groups!

Mawile looks at everyone in the circle, and with a big smile, she is ready in case the others want to make any proposals.

Javi: Hey... "The Misfits"...
I like it, i like it so much!
It is the quality that unites us.
Now that it's our turn to make a difference...
What do you think if our battle cry is:

"Now it's the Misfits Turn!"

Charmeleon: It is a name that identifies us perfectly, and indicates that we are willing to save all the Pokemon we can.
So I agree with this name, and with our rallying cry being that. Because it's like us, we are "The Misfits", and we will be the only hope for the Pokemon, so now it's our turn to come and save them!
Also, this name sounds like a superhero team name, so it's perfect!

Garde: "Now it's the Misfits Turn" Sounds great!
And you're right, since we're Misfits, we can't do things like others, and we have to use our creativity to get ahead... and that gives us strength.
We are big Misfits!!!

Everyone turns to see where the last voice is coming from... and it's... Sableye.

Mawile jumps on Sableye, grabbing him by his arms in a rage.

Mawile: Sableye!!! YOU BASTARD!!!! Where is my food?!? Give me my food, you can't do this to us!!!!!

By the time the Sableye looks about to be bitten by Mawile, his face and body seem to melt into what appears to be a sticky black substance. And the Sableye flees from Mawile, then disappears down a hallway toward Team Rocket's Cruiser.

Javi: Just this once... I think the Sableye won't be our priority...
Very well... the time has come...
Garde, get into your Pokeball, and I'll have it with me, while Charmeleon and I go undercover. Our mission is to free 4 cages.
Mawile and Mewtwo, get into your Pokeballs and Ditto will take them with him. You will free the other 4 cages... and after this, we will all meet again to free the ninth and last cage, and thus finish the rescue mission...
And after that... we will celebrate big!! ;)

Everyone hugs when they say goodbye, and the last cry of the group is heard before heading towards the Cruise:

"NOW IT'S THE MISFITS TURN!"
