In every story (aka a short summary of what happened before the stories happen to make things easier for you guys): 

Colder Weather:  Tim grew up like every other kid. His sister was maybe a bit too annoying when they were young and he might've had that unusual hobby of singing, but that was it. As he grew older he tried to persuade a career in music, but failed to get the fame he had expected.

On a whim, Tim took some money from his parents, kissed his sister goodbye and went away from Texas up to Minnesota. Why the hell he thought that was a good place for a second try, he had no idea, but when he met  Austin and Rob in a bar and befriended them, it felt like the right decision. For the longest time, they tried to get him to work with them in their office, but Tim sang his way through various bars until he met Adam in a strip club and decided to try his luck there.

Up The River:  This one is a bit different, that's what people always thought when they saw Tim. He was a cowboy without his boots or his hat, but he had Avi and although their relationship was different, they were happy. But Avi had a few weird friends and some were downright toxic and it didn't take long for them to lash out. First, it was Avi, who in a desperate attempt to help himself and Tim, shot a man and then it was Tim. 

Tim, who thought he would never see Avi again, fell in a deep hole and slaughtered even the last one of these abusive assholes. Later when he was found in a bloodied room full of corpses they took him to solitary confinement where he stayed alone until they had room in their prison. He then met Austin, who had approximately as many therapy sessions a week as Tim had (6) and although it wasn't perfect, they fell in love with each other and although it was weird they let Adam be part of that. 

(When Tim realized Avi was in the same cell block, he at first tried to distance himself and while it would've been the hardest thing he ever had to do, he thought it was worth it. Only when Avi found Mitch and Scott did Tim realize how much he was hurting despite that he shouldn't.)

Borrowed: Some people were born with a golden spoon in their mouth and Tim was one of them. Over the course of many, many generations his family lost touch with the royalty they used to be. However, they still had all the wealth one could wish for without really knowing why. 

Later Tim moved in with a man (Austin) he had found somewhere and although he didn't need to lead a middle-class life he wanted to experience it. It wasn't until he found a girl and lost her again that Tim grew tired and considered going back to the high society and all his money. Only when he meets Adam he realizes how hard the really poor people have it and decides to help the man and his brother.

I (don't) Need You: (Spoiler!!) Tim a not that successful, but not really unknown country singer spends his nights in different bars. He meets Avi after the man's car broke down and soon he finds out Avi has a lot of money and a lot of work. So after a while of dancing around each other, the two become involved and although at first it's only fun and games, Tim soon finds himself falling for Avi. 

But nothing nice lasts forever when he starts to hear a voice telling him Avi isn't who he should be with.
