In every story (aka a short summary of what happened before the stories happen to make things easier for you guys): 

Colder Weather: Adam and Chris weren't able to pay their loans and then made more debts to, let's say, fill their holes with other holes. In that process, they stumble upon Sammy who gives them enough money to pay off everybody (but him) and then gives them jobs at his club.

Originally, Chris and Adam were supposed to work in the kitchen, but Adam was pretty much unable to even make coffee and they soon had to find something else for him. When Sammy suggested he should strip with the other boys, Chris wanted to protect his brother, who completely ignored him and did what Sammy wanted.

Unfortunately, Sammy took a liking to Adam and they started a relationship. It was tender and loving at first, but that faded away quickly until their relationship was reduced to casual sex and some toxic behavior on Sammy's side. By the time, Adam meets Tim the abusive behavior is a normal circumstance and Adam can't free himself from Sammy by himself anymore.

Up The River: The Rupp Brothers were well-known entertainers in their hometown until someone set their house on fire and murdered their sister Tristin Rupp by decapitating her. All evidence pointed towards the duo and they had nobody to bail them out or even give them a good alibi.

Thus, they landed in the same prison as one Austin Brown, Tim Foust and Avi Kaplan. (The other ones were convicted later.) Adam, who by the time roomed with Austin soon realized that there was more going on between Tim and his roommate. However, when he accidentally (as accidentally as you could sleep with someone) became the third wheel in their relationship he also outed himself to his brother.

Borrowed: Fourth grade was for both Chris and Adam a very confusing time. Chris fell in love for the first and only time and Adam realized how much he hated not having what he needed in life. When their parents realized how strange the boys were they distanced themselves and as soon as the brothers were able to live on their own their parents abandoned them.

Chris' and Adam's little quirks soon grew to full blown mental disorders and neither could help themselves. Their parents are paying the rent for their tiny apartment, but since neither Adam nor Chris are fit to work they can't really afford anything else on their own. Adam then decided to use his talent/ little problem to at least gain a bit money, by (professionally) stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor (himself and his brother.)

I (don't) Need You: (Spoiler!!) Adam never had any problems in life until his brother, Chris, left him. Thankfully, Austin, an old friend of the family, was there to comfort him. Soon they start a relationship and move in together. Everything is okay, but then Tim steps into their lives and things get complicated.
