Chapter 24: What Do We Do Now...?

*Sky's POV*

I watched as Mo's and Ez's faces went from happy and excited to a look of panic and fear as they looked over their use to be home. I put my arm around Ty as he whimpered in fear.

"MOM!!!!!" They both yelled and took off running towards the village. Mitch and Jerome grabbed Ez and Jason and Seto grabbed Mo.

"You can't go in there! The fire is too hot!" Mitch cried.

"I don't care!" Ez cried and with a burst of energy she and Mo were released from their grips and they took off towards the flames.

We all stood there frozen for a moment and that's when I saw Ryan and Mitch throw out their Squirtle and Oshawott. I looked over at them. Quentin even threw out his mudkip. Were they really going to charge into the flames? Jason adjusted his helmet and even Seto put his hood up. Bodil even adjusted his suit. Ty looked up at me and he pulled away from my arm.

"Are you coming?" He asked.

I remained quiet for a moment and then smiled and threw out my Totodile. "You bet buddy."

Ty smiled and we all ran after Mo and Ez. "Water types! Put out the fires!" Ryan yelled.

Ty, Jason and Mitch were the fastest out of us so they led the charge. The water types followed using their strongest water type attacks helping put out the flames. Bodil was even running around with buckets of water dumping them on the flames as best he could. Mo and Ez stood at two houses where the largest flames were. All of a sudden Ez ran into one of the houses and Mo into the other. Crap.

"Totodile! Follow Ty!" I yelled. I knew Ty would go after Ez he might be the only one who can convince her to come out. Totodile nodded and ran after Ty.

"Squirtle go with Jason!" Mitch called.

"Squirtle squirt!" His squirtle replied and it followed Jason into Mo's house. Becareful guys.

*Ty's POV*

I saw Ez run into a house, probably hers and I followed as did Sky's Totodile. It started putting out the fire on the first floor as I followed Ez to the second.

"Mom!! Mom!!" She cried running up and down the hall.

"Ez!!" I yelled and she stopped and turned around.

"Get out of here Ty! It's dangerous!"

"Not without you! Your my friend now and no friends left behind!"

"I gotta find my mom!"

"Then we'll look together!"

She paused and gave a small nod. I smiled and we both ran different directions. I ran into a ran into what I guessed was Ez's room. It had many burning stuffed animals and on a nightstand sat a picture frame. I ran over to it and picked it up and put in my pocket and ran back out. Ez was running towards me.

"Was she in there?!"

I shook my head. She sighed and started to head downstairs when a beam started to fall.

"Ez look out!" I yelled and sprinted shoving us both out of the way but now blocking the exit. She looked at me her eyes wide under her glasses.

"Ty... Don't do that again... Your gonna get yourself killed!" She cried hugging me.

I hugged back. It wouldn't be long before the flames reached us and we had no way out. He would either hear me or we were toast literally. I took a deep breath and yelled as loud as I could. "SKY!!!!!!!!"

*Sky's POV*

"SKY!!!!!!!!" I heard Ty yell. That means he was trapped. I saw Seto look at me.

"Come on. I'll help you." He said and we took off towards the house Ez went into we saw we he yelled. A beam was blocking them from the stairs my Totodile stuck on the bottom. "Sky get close to me."

I stood right next Seto and he started to glow making a little forcefield around us. He glowed brighter and the forcefield expanded and it put out the fire. Soon it was big enough that Ty and Ez were able to get down to us and we ran out. Jason was already outside by Mo who was sitting and crying. Jason stood next to her and rubbed her back.

Ez ran over to her and hugged her. Mo hugged back and they sat there for awhile in the middle of the road. After awhile we finally put out the fire. Mo and Ez sat hugging each other. Ez didn't make a sound but I could see the occasional tear slip under her glasses. Mo was at the point she couldn't make a sound but she had her head buried into Ez's shoulder.

I saw Zorua curl up closer to Ty. Ty stroked it's head and we all sat around our friends who had just lost their homes.

"What do we do now...?" Mo whispered.

Ez just gave a slight shake of the head. We couldn't expect any answers from them right now. We just needed to give them comfort. But Mo was right. What do we do now?

A/N: I'm updating this quite a bit lately. Reason for that is I've left this story not completed for long enough so I'm going to finish this! Like I said there is only a few more chapters! So yeah. I've had fun writing this and there will be a 'sequel' soon. Hopefully but I've got some other story ideas to do right now so it might be awhile 😅 hehe but yeah! See ya guys later! Byyye
