Chapter 52
Ice's POV-
June seems happy after torturing me yesterday. She just went in the kitchen for a phone call.
Then June just ran in sqealimg like a bitch, March came in her phone in hand doing to same. July, who was sitting next to me, looked just as confused. "OMG we get to- we are- aaahhh!" June says. "I know! Its going to be awesome!" March says. Then they hug each other and start jumping up and down happily. "Ice, July we were nominated for the Blue Birds!" June and March say together. July aplauds them but Im still confused. "Blue Birds is an Airforce show." June explains. "Yeah and we get too make explosions and do barrel rolls and shit!" March yells. "Thats definatly a job for you two." I say. Then the phone rings and June races to get it.
June's POV-
"Hello?" I ask into the phone. "Hi, is this the residents of June and March?" A girl asks me. "Yeah, June speaking." "Good. Listen we, the government, will meed you to meet us in Washington DC in two weeks from now." The girl says. "Actually, can we maybe move it to three weeks im busy." I say uncertainly. "Two weeks. Do not make us come drag you out of the house. Bye-bye!" The girl says before hanging up. I put the phone away and turn to see March. "What happened?" She asks nevously. "We have to go to the government on the same day of the Blue Birds show." I say. "Goddamn." March mumbles. "Whatever they want us for. It better be good. Were missing a once in a lifetime event." March says.
Months arent really the type America wants for Blue Birds. Thats why its so important to March and I. And of couse the government has to go and ruin that for us. We would be one of the only Months to be a part of the Blue Birds.
I remember that as a child I went to all the Blue Bird shows I could. I would talk to the Pilots that walk around. I pretended I was flying high in the clouds enjoying the freedom as big as the sky when I sat in the pilot's seat at the shows. It was one of the few memories that was never erased. Its funny, they erase my family and my childhood neighborhood, but never have they erased anything that related to my future job. The job I was destined for. They never erased memories of the job that i have had a passion for as long as I can remember.
