All the hurtful words have finally gotten to me,

They say I'm a freak and I can't help but agree,

Maybe I should end it all and finally be free,

Get away from this life and all the pain it could bring,

And so I stroll to the hardware store looking for a rope to use,

I've lost all hope and there's nothing that I have to loose,

I pay and go to leave when someone gets my attention,

I pray he's nice for I can't take any more rejection.

"Hello" he says,

Smiling in my direction.

"You're a beautiful girl. I couldn't help but mention".

I've never been complimented, wasn't sure how to respond,

So I mumbled a thanks , and next he got my number,

when I got home, I wasn't quite sure if death was the answer.

He's probably forgotten me, the nice boy I met earlier.

I'm up the stool making the rope tighter,

Looped it over my neck, ready to jump and end my chapter,

But my phone kept ringing and I knew they won't stop unless I answer,

"Hello, who's speaking ", I tiredly whispered,

"Hi , its the boy you met at the store", the caller answered.

Its been 2 years and today I made him my life partner,

He saved my life by looking deeper when no one else would bother.
