~Y/N POV~

Today's the exciting day that I was unsure of at first but I'm excited yet nervous to attend.

It's the ball this evening and it's the first one I've ever been too as well as my two friends joy and Irene.

They've already entered the massive ballroom with Kai who is instructed to stay by their sides all night until we come in.

As the kings soulmate I have to enter when they do which is normal last and to be announced when entering the room.

Luckily Kai is okay with that even though it's his job but he's already been introduced to some lords and dukes that work with my soulmates so he was full of confidence. He secretly told me though that there is a little nervous side to him since it's his first time actually doing such a thing but he wants to be on the kings good side since he is still in trial and they'll kill him if he fails but I don't think he will.

He's actually doing really well despite not finishing school and Taehyung has told me he is doing a good job but promised me not to tell Kai that I said that and I stuck to my word. I didn't tell Kai and I don't plan to unless told other wise.

Tonight at this ball I finally let the remaining soulmates that have seen my dress, actually finally see it.

Taehyung of course boasted that he got to see it first but was only punched in the shoulder by Jungkook to stop his boasting.

Which has now caused bickering between the two as we all stand at the main double doors to the room, waiting for the signal that it's about to open.

"Can you two stop it? Kai is in the middle of announcing our arrival now shut it!" Jin

He hissed at the two that now pout like kids and I file at their actions. I'm told to stand int he middle of all of them with myself arm in arm with Jimin and Yoongi for when we enter. That way Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok will walk in front and Jungkook and Taehyung would be walking behind us.

I'm very nervous and when those double doors suddenly open my heart drops to my stomach with so much nerves.

"You'll be fine Y/n." Jimin

He whispered close to my ear as we all began to walk into the room following the first three kings to walk into the room.

I haven't felt this must tense and authority in a room since the day I first seen all of them walking in to the dining hall on my school trip.

Everyone was quiet and still, watching all of us walk in gracefully. Both Jimin and Yoongi had tight grips on my arms which made me feel a little more secure and then I remind myself there's three of them in front and another two behind so I'm fine.

No vampire will be pouncing on me tonight, well unless that's one of my soulmates that's a different story.

Stood at the very front on a little small built stage that only had two steps to take until your stood over everyone, was where my friends stood.

Kai was putting on his serious mask watching us walk in with Irene glued to his side with his arm around her scared yet nervous body. She didn't have to come but she wanted to and I just know she'll loosen up as time goes by. Joy was stood on the other side of him waving at me and smiling like a child, as her usual self ignoring all the stares and glares from some vampires that is three humans in the room were receiving.

I did noticed as we came to step onto the small strange that their was a man glaring right at me with red eyes but Hoseok hanged back to sprint to the man and stand in front of him directly and fold his arms over his chest. The strange flinched and stared wide eyed at Hoseok as they exchanged words, watching the man shiver in fear before Hoseok returned back to the stage and stand next to Jimin.

Namjoon patter Kai on the shoulder with a nod, signalling him to step back and he did with Irene and joy.

Next Namjoon came to stand directly in front of me and release a fake cough before speaking.

"Welcome everyone. I'm happy to see everyone made it to another year and I hope you all enjoy your night. First before we officially begin I would like to announce our soulmate, Lee Y/n. Adopted daughter of our late advisor Lee Daehyun and his wife Lee Jia, may they rest in peace. Y/n, could you come here for a moment?" Namjoon

Turned to me behind him with his hand out reaching for me. I froze looking at it but both Yoongi and Jimin let me go with a gentle nudge and I took Namjoons hand who guided me a two steps forward to stand by his side. With all the eyes on me I just want to run and hide or sink down to the floor and disappear but I guess I should get use to it.

"This is Lee Y/n and your future queen. As you all know just how important soulmates are to our kind we will not tolerate anyone touching her in anyway. As you may all understand this, we'll take it very seriously." Namjoon

He glares to the audience and a few bow their heads at the intense glare while I stare at Namjoon in awe. He's very sexy when he's all big and bossy like that, I love it.

"You may all know our new advisor Kai but these two lovely ladies..."

He points to Irene and joy behind him.

"Are the future ladies and waiting for your future queen and they are not to be touched either. The conquences for touching any human in this room which so happens to be the three women on this stage, will be very fatal I can promise you that." Namjoon

The longest the spoke the deeper his voice got and his eyes glowed red in a threatening manner. He was looking really sexy right now.

"Understood? Good. Now ladies and gentlemen enjoy your night." Namjoon

He bows with a light smile and the music starts to play. All the guests begin to do their own thing, getting drinks, talking in groups or already starting to dance. It was kind of what I imagined it would be but now I'm seeing it in person to confirm it.

Namjoon spins me around to face everyone in the stage away from the guests and joy come bouncing over.

"Oh my god! We're ladies in waiting?! Holy shit!" Joy

"That means proper language joy!" Jin

Joy rolled her eyes and lazily waved at him.

"Please that rule won't apply to me. Now let's dance." Joy

She grabbed Jimin first by the worst knowing she can't go anywhere without one vampire with her just in case and drags him down the stage and to the dance floor with a wide eye Jimin who just goes along with it.

"Irene would you like to dance with me?" Kai

He held out a hand to her like a gentleman and she kindly took it with a giggle, covering her mouth shyly.

"Of course." Irene

He then proceeded to guide her down the stage and to the dance floor of people that actually moved out the way for them as they walked through the sea of people.

"Y/n, can I have this first dance?" Jin

He politely bowed and I laughed at him just for him to laugh a little at my own laugh.

"Yes, lets dance."

"Let's see what Jimin taught you so far?" Jungkook

He smirked but I playfully smacked his chest on the way of passing him with my hand in jins who had a firm grip on my like he was afraid that I'll disappear.

We moved to the dance floor and danced next to Jimin and joy who was having a blast even with the traditional ball dancing. She kept laughing and making funny jokes about the traditional ways compared to the dance moves people do now. I'm even pretty sure she called Jimins ass a jibooty. I've never heard her say that before but Jimins face and attempts to hide his ass from her was just too funny.

I'm sure my cackling was heard above the music at some point but it was too funny to even care.

Once the music finished I needed a drink so the four of us walked off to get some drinks which Yoongi was already there at the drinks table with a glass of red wine in his hand. I know it's not blood because I can tell by the smell.

"Drinking already?" Jin

Yoongi shrugged and took a sip from his glass.

"I've got to start somewhere. We may not be able to do this for a while after tonight." Yoongi

"That's true! Let me have a drink!" Jimin

He shuffled over around the table to pour himself a drink next to Yoongi.

"Well before you all get too drunk I would like to have a dance with the both of you."

"Well I'm that case I'm next." Yoongi

He placed his glass down and walked around the table to wrap his arm around my waist and plant a kiss on my cheek.

"Excuse me?"

I woman's soft voice popped up from behind us and Yoongi turned us both around to find a beautiful tall, long black haired woman. Her skin was pale yet flawless, she reminded me of a porcelain doll with massive brown eyes that seem to only be on joy.

She flickered her eyes to myself and Yoongi with Jin on my other side and joy on jins opposite side.

She bowed to us with a gracious yet wide smile and she made me feel a little envious of her beauty.

"Hello. I'm park Somi. It's very nice to meet you."

I went to bow but Yoongi quickly stopped me and shook his head. I forgot I'm told I shouldn't bow to anyone but I can't help it, it's habit.

"Hi, I'm Y/n! And this is Joy!"

I pointed around jins frame to Joy who was just gawking at the woman in pure awe. The last time I seen her do that was when we were kids and she seen a picture of Jimin for the first time. Now she's doing it again with this woman.

"Hello joy. I'm somi."

She held out her hand to joy, staring right into her eyes and joy slowly reached out to grab her hand at the tall vampire woman but without breaking eye contact.

There was something going on between the two and Jimin started to giggle behind us.

"Ohh, how about you two go dance and get to know each other?" Jimin

He suggested but yet both woman still don't stop staring at one another still holding each other's hand.

"Okay. Joy would you like to dance with me?" Somi

She asks and joy for the first time ever remains quiet and nods to walk away back to the dance floor with Somi holding her close.

"Don't you think one of you should be with her? How do you know Somi won't try to eat her or something?"

The three laughed at me and Yoongi pulled me closer to his side and leaned his head on my shoulder.

"Oh Y/n, she'll be safer with Somi than us that's for sure!" Jin

"Huh? How?"

"You'll find out now let's have our dance." Yoongi

He tugged at my arm and leads me to the dance floor not too far from joy and Somi who was dancing pretty close to close to one another, their won bodies pressed against each other and somi had her long arms around joys waist.

It was an odd sight to see joy in as if I was a stranger I would of thought they were a couple but if that's what she's comfortable with and likes somi in that way I won't judge.

The rest of the night was just so much fun and beautiful with the music. I had a dance with all my soulmates and I couldn't of asked for a better night.

The last of my soulmates to dance with was Namjoon. He was busy talking with most of the guests which so happened to be business stuff that I don't really know about just yet but he tells me I will.

The last dance of the night I became tired but it was a slow dance thank god. So with this one Namjoon literally held me close up against his chest, holding me ups right while i lazily swayed side to side with him.

I don't know if anyone noticed I was pregnant but I don't think now is the time to ask just in case no one did and I blurt it out for all the vampires to hear with their sharp hearing.

"I'll take you to bed after this beautiful." Namjoon

I felt his fingers brush past my ear and down my neck to my bare shoulder. I only hummed and felt like I could close my eyes at any given moment but refuse not to.

My sights fell on joy and somi still dancing, who have been joined day the hip all night. I like somi, I've spoken to her more and if anything she's very bitchy to any other man or woman that speaks to joy. She's fine with me, Irene Kai and of course her kings it's just anyone else she's got this whole different attitude on her and I like it.

The the far end of the room across from the dance floor Irene was sitting down with Kai who just handed her a glass of water.

Yoongi was drunk with Jimin and Jungkook on the tables. Jin was standing with Hoseok who was trying to get the three drunk vampires to stand while Taehyung stood by their table, leaning against it, watching me with a wide smile on his face and waves when he notices me looking at him.

I chuckled to wave back at him.

"That boy. He's so much like our mom." Namjoon

"He is?"

"Yeah. He reminds me of her all the time. The difference is that my mother had a very nasty streak in her. A very bad temper in you get on her wrong side. I haven't seen Taehyung like that at all, so there's a little difference there." Namjoon

I only hum in answer and content my continue to dance with Namjoon slowly.

I could still fall asleep like this but I want to stay awake so I flutter my eyes and forced them wide to stare at the very far end of the room beyond Irene and Kai.

There was still a small group of people. In the corner which I'm not surprised. The night may be coming to an end but there's still people staying and some going but in the very far corner of that group of people a woman with a bright red dress sticks out to me.

Her chocolate brown hair tied in a neat braided bun. Her silver necklace with shiny crystals shown off front he laughed above. She wore bright red lipstick that matched her dress but when I realised who she was. Tears automatically poured form my eyes and I felt like I couldn't breathe. Panic and rage and fear came at me all at once.

"Y/n? What's wrong?" Namjoon

I ignored him and continued to stare at the woman who smirked at my panicked state. I furiously wiped at my eyes not wanting to show this woman the power she still has over me after all these years.

What the hell is she doing here?!
How did she get here?!
Isn't she suppose to be in prison?

My chest became tight at all the memories of pain from my younger childhood. Everything came flooding back and I couldn't bare it.

"Y/n? Y/n? Tell me what's wrong?" Namjoon

I grasped on tighter to him, resisting against him trying to pull me away to look at my face but I don't want to move from his body.

Her red eyes. Somehow she's got red eyes. I don't ever remember her having red eyes, but her smile grew even more so to swiftly move out the group of people showing her full shelf of me and I collapsed into Namjoons arms before she quickly disappeared like she wasn't even there.
