CHAPTERSIXTEEN_BIG REVEAL
October 8, 2032

 It’s now Friday, and it was the day before the big reveal. The big reveal plans were announced on social media. It was called, “#GenModsAreReal”. It grabbed everyone’s attention with that announcement.

 As for the group, they all met in the music room. Rachel, by now, as gotten used to being with Nathan. She accepted he was her mate, and began to love him. 

 Matt, on the other hand, was still crashing at Calvin’s house. He didn’t want his family getting suspicious of his new looks. He told Calvin what happened, and told him to come up with something. Calvin reluctantly agreed to this plan…which lead to him to join the group.

 Aria asked them, “Okay, is everyone ready for tomorrow’s big reveal? I know we’re all scared and nervous, but this is for our own good. Show the world what we really are, and that we deserve to be treated as equals.”

 Most of the Gen-Mods in group agreed they were ready…except for Rachel and Matt. Ellie just shrugged. Aria asked them, “What’s wrong? You’re Gen-Mods. You’re one of us now. It’s your duty to fight for your rights.”

 Rachel told her with irritation, “Have you forgotten that our parents don’t even know we’re Gen-Mods? Matt and I are scared shit of their reactions. I can tell my dad hates us. Matt’s parents? Well, they call us abominations.”

 “Well, I don’t care what your ignorant parents think of about this! You’re doing this, end of story!”

 Declan sighed, and rolled his eyes. He got up from his chair, and told her, “Aria, let me talk them. And Ellie.”

 Aria protested, “But…”

 “Aria. Please.”

 She rolled her eyes, and huffed as she sat down. Declan took Rachel, Matt, and Ellie outside the soundproof room. He asked Ellie, “Elle, are you sure you want to do this? You’re not even a real Gen-Mod.”

 Ellie replied, “I know. But my parents like Gen-Mods. They’d be okay with this. Besides, they know I’m training for my role. Especially since if I’m doing my own stunts.”

 Declan nodded his head, and turned to face Rachel and Matt. He told them, “Don’t listen to Aria. You don’t have to reveal yourselves if you’re not comfortable. At least not right now. If you two can keep lying about what you’re are, you should be fine.”

 Matt asked, “Well, my parents are getting suspicious. They called me, but I texted them instead. They shouldn’t have to hear my slightly deeper voice. I’m serious, I sound like a man now, not a teenaged boy. I don’t know how much longer I can keep hiding from them.”

 Declan sighed, “You’re right. Okay, just say you’re staying with a relative they probably don’t remember their name. Maybe you can hold out for a little whilst longer.”

 Rachel said with a shaky breath, “I…I’ll reveal myself. I’m scared, but it’ll be my way of protesting against the movie. I know we’re all sabotaging the movie, but my dad needs to know that I’m now a Gen-Mod. And that I’m still me, just…different now.”

 Matt said to her, “Well, you can go and reveal yourself. Me, on the other hand, will keep hiding out.”

 Declan asked, “How long do you think you can keep hiding out? Your parents are going to get suspicious.”

 With that, Matt stammered. He knew Declan was right. So he sighed, and said, “I’ll hide out for another week or so, and then I’ll come back home. But I’m not going to reveal myself.”

 Declan nodded his head, and said, “That’s fine, Matt. It’s your choice.”

 Matt and Rachel nodded their heads, and went back into the room. Ellie, on the other hand, stood there. She rubbed her forehead as she winced in pain. Declan noticed, so he asked, “Elle, are you okay? You don’t look too good.”

 Ellie replied, “Ugh, I feel like crap. I’m burning up like crazy.”

 Declan gently places his hand on her forehead. He looked at her with concern, and said to her, “I’m taking you home. You need to sleep this off.”

 She shook her head, “No, I’ll be fine. It’s probably nothing.”

 “It doesn’t feel like nothing. Ellie, your head is on fire. You need to go home, and sleep this off.”

 With that, Ellie’s demeanor changed quickly. She was furious. She growled in an animalistic way, “I. AM. FINE!”

 With that, she punched the glass wall with her fist. The entire wall shattered, making everyone in the room duck under the table. Declan watched with mixed emotions. He couldn’t believe she was capable of doing this. It was horrifying to him, but he took a deep breath, and said to Ellie, “Eliza, baby, remember what I said. Don’t make a big deal of your abilities. I’ll add one more rule: Breathe. Relax. Okay?”

 Ellie breathed slowly and deeply. She began to calm down. She said, “I can’t believe I did that. What’s going on with me?”

 Declan hugged her, and said, “I don’t know, Elle. Do you want me to go home with you? I’ll cuddle you. You should feel better afterwards.”

 Ellie looked up at him. She gave a weary smile, and buried her face into his shoulder. He kissed her head…then noticed something was off. He noticed that she seemed taller. But he shrugged it off, thinking it was maybe a growth spurt. Still, he couldn’t shake off the nagging feeling that something was wrong.

 It’s the very early morning hours. The sun wasn’t out yet. Ellie woke up with Declan holding her. She felt even worse than before. She got out of the bed, and walked over to her small private bathroom. She then puked into the toilet. 

 Declan woke up to hearing her vomiting. He quickly turned to face the bathroom. He walked up to her, with worry written all over his face. He said to her as he held her hair away from her face, “We didn’t have sex, but then you haven’t been feeling at all. What’s going on? Did you eat something bad?”

 Ellie wiped her mouth with the toilet paper, and told him, “I honestly don’t know. I didn’t eat anything new this week. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

 Declan sat down next to her, and held her. He asked, “What are your symptoms?”

 Ellie thought for a moment, and said, “Let’s see…fever, horrible headaches, aches, anger…urges…”

 He raised his eyebrow as he asked, “Urges? Like what?”

 Ellie bit her lip as she replied, “Like…claiming you as my…mate…and…have sex with you…no, that can’t be right.”

 Declan was confused by all of this. He then looked in the toilet. He saw glowing, bright, green puke. His eyes widen. He told her, “Whatever you do…don’t let anyone in this loo.”

 Ellie, confused, asked, “Why? What’s going on?”

 Declan looked around. He looked in the cabinets. He asked her, “Do you have any aluminum foil?”

 “It’s in the kitchen. Why do you need it?”

 Declan faced her. He held her shoulders, and said to her calm, serious tone, “Eliza, listen to me. What you just puked is glowing. You just puked some kind of radiation. I’m guessing uranium. I’m not sure. But it’s radioactive. I need to dispose it safely. It’s dangerous, and it can kill other people. It can’t kill me because I have radiation in my system. And I seriously doubt it’ll kill you.”

 Ellie looked at him. She became teary eyed as her voice wavered, “Declan…what’s going on? What’s inside of me? What…am I?”

 He gave a deep breath, and said, “Ellie…you’re transitioning into a Gen-Mod. You’re mutating. The scientists must’ve injected you with something. That’s why this is happening.”

 Suddenly, Ellie became horrified. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She was turning into a Gen-Mod. All this past week, she knew something was off about herself, but she couldn’t make out what it was. Now she knows; she’s becoming a Gen-Mod.

 She asked him, “Declan, what are we going to do?”

 He sighed, “You have to get that serum and the microchip. You need to complete the transition process. The microchip will keep your humanity and your sanity in place. And those urges you feel? They’re natural. But I need to dispose this safely, and then I’ll take you to the scientists to complete the process. As much as I hate them, I have to do this. Okay?”

 Ellie tried to fight back the tears. She was scared. She didn’t want this to happen, but it was happening. She quickly nodded her head. 

 So Declan first took off her wearable computers, and safely and slowly took out her prosthetic eyewear. He saw how her brown eyes were bright and vivid. He then carried her to her bed, and laid her down gently. He told her softly, “Sleep this off for now, okay? I’ll wake you up once we’re ready to leave.”

 Ellie nodded her head. He kissed her head gently, and left her room.

 It’s a few hours later. Ellie slowly opens her eyes. She saw nothing but a white room. She felt something warm next to her. She turned to face what it was. It was Declan, cuddling her. She gave a weak smile. He smiled back, as he was awake.

 Then suddenly, she felt her eyes burn. She yelped in pain as she covered them. Then the pain stopped. She opened them. Declan saw that her eyes were dark. He knew they were dark with lust.

 He asked her, “What are you feeling, Elle?”

 She replied, “That you’re mine. All mine.”

 He smiled more, and cuddle her more. She smile more at this gesture. She asked him, “Do Gen-Mods love cuddling and being cuddled?”

 He replied, “Yeah, we do, actually. Gen-Mods basically crave love, whether they want hugs from their parents, or cuddles from their mates. They need love as children, and once they have their mates, they need love from them. Trust me, it’s the best feeling in the world to either be cuddled, or cuddle your mate. Why? Do you feel that way right now?”

 She nodded her head as she replied, “Yeah, I do. It just feels…natural. It feels good.”

 “I’m glad.”

 As Ellie felt more comfortable in his arms, her eyes shot open. She said, “I just realized. The Big Reveal is today. We have to go, like, now.”

 Declan sighed as he stroked her hair gently, “Look, we don’t have to go. It’s not mandatory for us to do this, no matter what my sister says.”

 She looks up at him, and told him, “I know. But I want to reveal myself. I want you to join me. We worked too hard and long to drop this. I’m like you now, and I’m not ashamed of this. Sure, I never wanted to be a Gen-Mod, but this whole experience of being with you and our friends made me appreciate your kind so much. You…we deserve to be seen as equals to normal humans.”

 He bit his lip as he asked, “Are you sure you want to go through with this?”

 “Yes, I’m sure. I want to do this.”

 Declan looked at her intently. He gave a sigh, and said, “Okay, let’s do this. You should already know what you’re capable of now, thanks to that computer.”

 She smiled, “Well, I don’t need it anymore. I’m already a superhuman.”

 He grinned. Then the two got up, and left the room.

 It’s a few hours later. The group arrived at a nearby subway station. They got in the subway, on the way to the West End. They were silent as they were nervous and scared. No one was more scared than Rachel and Matt. 

 Kimmy told him, “Matt, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”

 Matt took a shaky breath, and said, “I know…I’m doing this for you. You’re my…mate, and I need to show that I’m not ashamed of you and of myself. You’re not going to be alone in this.”

 Kimmy nodded her head nervously, and hugged him. 

 Rachel turned to face Nathan, and said, “Nathan…I’m sorry for the way I treated you the past couple of weeks. You’re a very sweet guy, and you don’t deserve to be treated like crap. I shouldn’t have put your life at risk. I’m sorry.”

 Nathan smiled as he hugged her. He told her, “I love you, Rachel. I wasn’t going to give you up without a fight.”

 With that, she gave a small smile. Soon the subway stopped at their destination. They saw other people on the train. They were all beautiful and wearing glasses. Ellie smiled at Declan, and asked, “Ready to reveal ourselves?”

 Declan smirked, “I’m more than ready.”

 With that, the Gen-Mods on the subway bolted. They all ran with superhuman speed. They ran faster than a cheetah. They soon began to scurry up on the buildings until they climbed onto the roofs. Soon, all of the London Gen-Mods were on top of buildings. They looked at each other, and all around. They saw that the Normals on the ground below. They were filled with shock and fear…yet they were amazed. The fictional Gen-Mod were actually real, and they were here to stay.
