After much prying, Lightbulb was able to convince Test Tube to build a machine that would let them travel to alternate realities. They were getting ready to test it out.

"Remember Lightbulb, we don't know what could happen out there, so stay close." She said, turning on the machine. Lightbulb waved her hand dismissively.

"Gotchu! No need to worry." She shrugged. "I mean, have you even met anyone more careful then me?" Test Tube gave her a deadpan look.

"I'm not going to answer that." The machine whirred to life, producing a large, (f/c) portal with a swirling (s/f/c) stripe. Test Tube smiled, then grabbed Lightbulb's hand.

"Get ready! The ride will be a bit bumpy!" They both jumped into the portal, feeling the wind rush against their faces. They fell for some time, then they skid against the ground.

While Test Tube was able to land on her feet, Lightbulb ended up eating dirt. Test Tube was quick to help her up. "Oh my gosh! Are you alright?" Lightbulb pulled a grass blade of her tongue, dropping it.

"Well, other than paying a visit to the worst restaurant in this universe, seriously, zero outta five stars, I'm pretty okay!" Test Tube stared at her in confusion.

"Wha- Never mind, let's just see where we are." They walked around, looking at the strange decor, then Lightbulb opened a door, and that's when they could hear the cheering.

It caught them both by surprise, the cheering and music, with the occasional explosion. Test Tube was wary, cocking her gun. "We have to be careful..."

They both made their way over to the sounds, and found a shocking sight. There was an arena, thousands of people surrounding it. Strange creatures were fighting in the middle.

The both of them were in awe, but not at the same things. Test Tube was impressed by the technology present around the arena, and Lightbulb was in awe by someone in the arena.

A (h/c) human seemed to be leading and guiding the creatures to victory, and looking pretty cute doing so. "Give it your all, Eleki!" She heard them say, as the odd creature bounced around wildly.

Lightbulb stared up, noticing the fight seemed to be broadcast on the tv overhead. She could get a better look at the person, and couldn't help but blush slightly.

They had a determined look on their face, glaring down the opponent, not a drop of malice in their eyes. Standing in a powerful pose, they rose their hand, flicking it towards the creature on the opposite side.

Before their creature could move, the human controlling the other one sucked their creature into a ball, and it turned gigantic! They threw it behind them, releasing a massive beast!

Lightbulb gasped, stars in her eyes. The (h/c) human sighed dramatically, losing their cool pose and slumping over to face the sky. "Oh my arecussss seriously?!"

They stood back up, gripping the bridge of their nose. "This **** again?! Oh ****- Sorry editing team!" They looked apologetically to the camera. They coughed, turning back to the opponent.

"Okay Bede, we'll play it your way." They smirk, sucking their creature into a ball too. They nonchalantly tossed it behind them, releasing a giant creature of their own.

Lightbulb excitedly watched as the battlefield filled with electricity. The large creatures then duked it out, tossing dirt everywhere.

The (h/c) haired human smirked at the destruction, cheering on her creature. Lightbulb couldn't help but cheer too. "Yeah! Punch that other guy, or whatever!"

"Bede's" creature was knocked out, and both of the creatures shank down to their original sizes. The two humans returned their creatures to their balls, and shook hands.

The fight seemed to be over. The camera zoomed on the (h/c) haired, who smiled, and waved to the camera. Lightbulb blushed again, waving back like they could actually see her.

"And yet another win for our champion, (Y/n)! They continue to surprise us, here in the Galar region, especially with the electrifying new addition to the team!"

Lightbulb chuckled at the pun, and the announcer continued. "What are you going to do now that the match is over?" (Y/n) smiled tiredly. "Relax in my cabin, as always!"

The camera cut off, and Lightbulb turned back to Test Tube. "Their cabin, huh? Wonder where that could be?" Test Tube seemed to notice something, and stared at her in worry.

"Uh, we should really get going-" She pointed to a plate on the wall. "(Y/n): Champion of Galar." Lightbulb smiled brightly, holding her face in her hands.

"Omga! No way!" She looked in a reflective piece of a window, then at Test Tube. "How do I look? Slicking my hair back, yay or nay?" Test Tube frantically looked around.

"We really need to get out of here, they seem like the major authoritative figure around here, and did you see those monsters they controlled?! Who knows what they'll do if they find us in their room!"

She then realized what Lightbulb said. "You don't even have hair!" Lightbulb 'hmmed' in response. "So nay..." The doorknob jiggled, and Test Tube froze.

The door opened, and the champion walked inside, laughing slightly. "What a fun match! Except for the part where Bede Dynamaxed." They groaned.

"Never thought I'd agree with Piers... well this is a first." Then, they noticed the sentient objects in their room. "...This is also a first..."

They smiled, waving in a friendly manner. "Hey there! You must be from another dimension, I'm (Y/n)...as you've...probably already heard." Lightbulb smirked, elbowing Test Tube lightly.

"Smart and cute! A real catch.~" Test Tube stared at her in disbelief, and (Y/n) laughed hard. "Wow, that was the funniest shit I've ever heard, is everyone from your universe this funny?"

Lightbulb stared at them, confused. "Not sure what you mean by that..." (Y/n) leaned against the back of the chair in front of them, rolling their eyes.

"Well, I'm neither of those things you described me." Lightbulb's smile fell slightly. "Well, is the mirror you use broken?" She stepped closer, leaning on the table with a flirtatious smirk.

"Because I definitely see something you can't." (Y/n) blinked. Then their face was suddenly 70 shades of red. They stood up, covering their mouth, and spoke incoherently.

Lightbulb chuckled, knowing she caught them off guard. "Looks like I beat the champ!" She stood in a proud pose, glancing at Test Tube. She was watching all of this go on with a confused face.

"Oooh, you made a big mistake missy!" (Y/n) regained their composure, and teased, a blush still evident on their face. "You made me catch feelings! I'm your problem now!"

Lightbulb laughed, a blush rising to her cheeks, and taunted them. "Then come on, let's go! Right here right now!" She pointed finger guns at them.

"Anytime, any place! Except your local dirt, it's bad." (Y/n) chuckled, sitting down in the chair they were leaning on. They crossed one of their legs over the other.

"Well then, how about 8:00 in the evening this Friday? I'll pick you up via Ultra Wormhole, be on the lookout for a big, blue Lunala." They offered, smirking slightly.

Lightbulb gave a curt nod. "Consider it a date!" The champion smiled, nodding back at her. "Okay then, I'll see you then.~" They exited the room, almost as if they forgot it was their apartment.

The door closed. "Did...Did they just leave their own apartment?" Test Tube questioned. Lightbulb sighed, smiling and shaking her head. "They did, they sure did..."

It was quiet for a few moments. "Wait. Did you just pick up a date in the, what, maybe five minutes we were here?!" Test Tube asked frantically, and Lightbulb turned to face her.

"More like thirty minutes, but yeah." Test Tube pressed her hands together, inhaling deeply. "Do you even know what a "Lunala" is?!" Lightbulb laughed.

"Not a clue." Test Tube stared blankly at her, feeling a headache coming on. "Well, I guess that settles it. Come on, let's get out of here."

With that, Test Tube makes a portal back to their own universe.

(A week later)

It was a peaceful day at the hotel, until a massive wormhole appeared in the sky. It shook the ground, alerting the residents and contestants.

Everyone made their way outside, except for one resident. "What the heck is that thing?!" Paintbrush screamed, unable to speak normally due to the loud rumbling.

A shrill cry rang throughout the sky, overpowering the rumbling, and a blue flash of light burst through the hole. The rumbling stopped, and the hole closed.

The blue flash circled the sky, before landing. Test Tube face palmed, remembering the week prior. "Oh right..." Everyone stared at the mysterious stranger in front of them.

They took off their helmet, their hair wildly waving around. They smiled, looking at the objects. "Anyone seen Lightbulb?" They asked, jumping off the massive creature.

Test Tube walked up to them, a slight smile on her face. "She's still getting ready. I still can't believe you two are really going on this date." The stranger laughed, patting Test Tube on the head.

"Hey, neither can I! But...she really does have a way with words...and..." They blushed, and started to fiddle with their space suit. "Arceus...I think she's just great..."

Test Tube smiled, now knowing their friend was in good hands. Lightbulb suddenly rushed out, running towards (Y/n). She hugged them, receiving a hug back.

"You made it! How do I look?" She posed, and (Y/n) snickered. "Shiny." They teased. Lightbulb playfully stuck her tongue out at them.

"So, any ideas on where we should go?" She asked. (Y/n) looked at them with an excited look on their face. "There's actually a really good steakhouse in a quaint little universe nearby!"

Lightbulb walked with them to the strange creature. "That sounds awesome! Can we stop by your place on the way back? I'd really like to see one of those matches again!"

(Y/n) nodded. "Heck yeah! The Ex-Champ is taking on his little bro and old rival, so that will be a blast!" Once they made it over to the creature, OJ spoke up.

"Bring her back by curfew, now." He joked, acting like a dad. "And no funny business!" (Y/n) rolled their eyes, smiling. "Don't worry sir, I'll take good care of your daughter."

OJ pointed finger guns at them. "This one's alright! Good job, Lightbulb!" The two of them got onto the creature, and flew back into a newly created wormhole, causing the same rumbling and loud noises.

Once it was over, everyone sighed in relief. "Leave it to Lightbulb to pick up someone while in another dimension." Paintbrush remarks, shaking their head slightly, and smiling.

"And what a catch too, am I right?" Mephone chuckled, crossing his arms. OJ grunted. "Okay, enough staring, everyone back to what they were doing before."

Everyone went back inside the hotel, wondering how the date was going....
