A Tall Glass of Blood
Hi guys, I know this chapter is too short and maybe a little boring(you be the judge of that) but please bear with me. It will get interesting in the next chapter.
Also, thanks for all the votes and comments. Love you guys :)
Picture of Daisy as Bella Thorne...
Chapter 4
"Don't you feel guilty?" Michael asked.
I looked at Michael, walking beside me, as we were heading towards the cafeteria doors. Not that I noticed but he had his left hand tucked inside his jeans pocket while his right hand was carrying the lunch tray. His sleeves were pulled up to his elbow and he had a hugh black watch. Many girls found that attire attractive. Not me. Because I didn't notice that at all.
"Guilty? Why?" I said with a frown.
"Well, you just told me that you were banned from all food fights and now it seems your best friend is starting the food fights for you. Don't you regret throwing her under the bus like that? Now she would be the one getting in trouble."
I chuckled softly as I heard that. I turned to him with amusement. He had so much to learn.
"Grace? In trouble? Yeah, right. Come on, let me show you how much trouble she is in." I said as we neared the doors.
As we entered the cafeteria, we saw that most of the students were on their way out. Most of them were laughing, having had a day well spent, while the 'popular' people were shrieking all over the place. Ironically, these were the people who got food thrown at them the most. True Story.
I grinned as I saw Daisy. Her hair was invisible in the midst of all the spaghetti and pudding and her dress color was a suspicious colour of yellow mixed with red.
I looked over at Grace who was surrounded by the Principle, the irritated janitor and a couple of teachers. I grinned as I saw the other part of the crowd.
Boys.
All of them were profusely claiming that it was them who had started the food fight while Grace stood there looking all innocent. The principle looked frustrated because he knew it was Grace who started it but there was nothing he could do with all these guys dying to be the culprit.
I looked at Michael, standing beside me with his mouth hanging open.
"Unbelievable." he said with shock.
"All I regret is not making Grace start food fights before all this. It would have saved me all this trouble." I said, shaking my head.
Grace and I were completely opposite. Whereas guys tended to run away from me, they ran towards Grace. It was a simple case of the good cop and the Mafia.
"How are you guys different from Daisy?" Michael asked.
I looked at Michael who was looking angry.
"What?" I asked.
"Well, you hate Daisy because she uses guys and bullies them. Well, your friend is doing the same. She is letting the boys take the blame for what she did. Then how is your best friend different than your arch enemy?"
I took a deep breath, trying to remember that Michael was new to this school and knew nothing. Otherwise, he would have been on the floor right now for comparing Grace to Cruella.
"Look, Michael, Grace is nothing like Daisy. Daisy uses people without caring whom she puts into trouble. Grace is letting the guys take the blame because she knows that the guys wouldn't get into trouble. Mr. Jenson, our principle, is a nice guy. He wouldn't put the guys in trouble when he knows they didn't do anything and Grace knows that. She is the kindest, most caring person I know. So don't you dare say anything against her to me." I said with a glare.
Michael gave an embarrassed look and mumbled 'sorry'.
"Hi, guys"
I looked at Grace who was standing in front of us now. As usual, none of them had gotten into trouble. Grace was beaming like the sun while James looked amused. Grace had food all over her but still managed to look radiant while James looked like the dork he was.
"Guys, this is the new ner---- I mean, the new guy, Michael. Michael, these are my best friends, Grace and James.", I said, as I fished a spaghetti out of Grace's hair.
Michael said hi to both of them.
"So what class do you have next?" Grace asked.
"We both have AP History now. What about you?" I asked.
"AP English. Both of us." James said.
"Well then, I will let you geniuses go to your class. Oh and Rebel, wait for me at the end of the day. I have cheerleading practice. It will take half an hour tops. OK?" Grace asked.
"Sure. I will just find somebody to bug while I am waiting for you." I said cheekily.
"Hmmm, maybe find somebody whose name starts with a B ?" Grace said with an evil look.
Saying that, she grabbed Drew's hand and dragged him towards the bathroom to wash off the stains.
"You guys are crazy," Michael said to me as we headed to our next class.Unlike the other students, Michael and I were squeaky clean.
"That's the sweetest thing anybody has told me in a long time," I said.
Michael just sighed while shaking his head.

After AP History, we headed to AP Biology, which we also had together.
Entering the class, I headed straight to the back where I had a table all to myself. Yay me. Michael waited for the teacher to acknowledge him, who then after looking around the class, sent him to the only single table.
Me.
"Is it just me or do you think we have been seeing a LITTLE bit too much of each other for two people who have just met?" I asked, wrinkling my nose.
"If this had been a teen movie, violins would have been playing right about now as we realized that destiny has been throwing us together the whole day for a reason. " Michael said with a grin.
I gave a surprise laugh at his joke. It seemed the nerdy guy had a nerdy sense of humor. Mr. Colin, our Biology teacher, was, however, not amused. Michael and I shut up as Mr.Colin looked at us from underneath his glasses.
Suddenly Michael looked at the front of the class and said "Oh God".
I followed his gaze and saw that Mr. Colin was distributing vials of blood to each student. I suddenly remembered that he had said that he would teach us how to determine a person's blood type.
I looked at Michael, who had turned slightly green. I moved away from him.
"Dude, if you go all Bella Swan on me, I swear to Satan, I will let you drown in your own puke."
"What? Who's Swan?" he said while leaning on the table, taking long deep breaths like a woman in labor.
"Bella Swan? Twilight? She fainted too when she saw blood. Right before she falls in love with a blood sucking 108 year old monster, of course. Great book. Real deep." I said sarcastically.
"I don't have a phobia to blood. I just get a little queasy when I first see it. I am feeling better already."
It was true. His skin was returning to its normal colour.
He closed his eyes and took a long breath. Then glared at me and said,
"Don't ever compare me to a girl again."
"Well then, don't act like one. God, grow a pair." I said, just as Mr. Collins gave each of us a vial of blood. I slowly inched away from Michael in case he decided to go on a vomiting spree just for the hell of it.
The girl in front of us looked back at us.
"Don't look, he is about to throw up." I said with a shooing gesture. She immediately looked forward, hugging herself to her table in an attempt to get away from him. Michael just glared at me.
Oh this was gonna be fun.
