I can't believe it....I just ran.....Well...I saved him breath from rejection.

"Mari, why'd you run?" Tikki inquired.

"Because...I could feel his disappointment."

"He wanted someone else." "He wanted ladybug." She replied. "If he can't love Marinette he can't love ladybug." She said.

Tikki was at a loss for words. As much as she could encourage Mari to forget, she knew it was true. But, at the moment, she had to prevent all akumas. Before she had too, Chat Noir knocked. Mari opened the window, and chat came in.

Chat(AKA Chloe not Adrien cough cough)POV

She looked terrible. I wondered why she ran. I looked into her eyes and she had tears. I knew it was my fault. I could feel it. I asked anyway however, so she wouldn't be suspicious.

She looked down, and I hugged her. "Tell me what's wrong princess."

Marinette sniffed, and spoke. "My crush turned out to be my soulmate and he....Was disappointed." "I ran because I couldn't bare to hear him say it." She cried.

"How do you know he was disappointed?" I asked.

"He loves ladybug." "No surprise, she's better than me but...." She trailed off, to hurt to continue.

I knew what she said was true. But how did she know? I guess she was just more observant than I realised. I felt bad for her. I should have spoken rather than just stare. But could you really blame me? A girl I saw as a friend was my soulmate. Sure, I thought she was adorable, resourceful, beautiful, kind, happy, and really just- wait, the heck I just say? So maybe I didn't see her completely as a friend. I flirted with all girls. I flirted with my lady, marinette, a- never mind I guess they were the only ones...Maybe she wasn't just a friend? I don't know.

"Maybe you should ask him out."

"Learn about the real him." "He can get to know you and then you'll know if you both truly love each other." I suggested.

"Yea maybe I'll try that...." She replied. She sniffed, and smiled.

"Thanks Chat." "That really helped. I'll try that." She said. I smiled and spoke.

"Glad to be of use, purr-incess."

"I'll be on my way then." And jumped off her balcony into the night.

Marinettes POV

"How sweet! I can't believe Chat did that for me." I said to Tikki.

"He's nice", she replied. I was going to try this tomorrow. I went to bed thinking of Adrien, and fell asleep.

The next morning at school....

"Hi Adrien!" I waved. Chat gave me courage so I stuttered less.

"Hi Marinette!" He replied.

"Can I talk to you?" I asked.

"Of course." He said.
"I-I w-was wondering if you wanted to go on a date so we could get to know the real each other." I blurted out.

"Sure!" He replied.

"Look, I know we can't force love but we can get to know the real person and hopefully work it out." I said confidently.

"That sounds great!" "Pick you up at 8?" He said.

"Y-y-yeah!" I stuttered. I was back to being shy. I reminded myself to thank Chat later, and was happy throughout the day.
