That's a thing about me like. The title "princess." Don't ask why, I just like the title because, despite my gender/religion/culture, I think being called a princess is pretty cool ^^

But enough about that. I gave you that name/title to set you up for an idea. Gender-bender story telling! Specifically, the story where the guy becomes the chick.

I'm no stranger to this type of story!

"The Tale of Dawn" was a flop on my behalf.. mostly because no one really wanted to read the story.

However, if you want to read it, go ahead! I like my lovely new girl's story! Dawn's got a lot to learn 'cause who said being a girl was easy!!?? (Like seriously, I'm asking for a death wish for wanting to be one, but that's a topic for another time!!

On to the question.

So, I'm writing a new story called "Princess Sleepy Hero."

This is a TOP SECRET story that I've decided to write on Webnovel, entering it into a contest worth, at most, 10,000 USD!! Honorable mention gets 500 USD, which would still be the most money I've ever had in one time (though let my mother tell it, if I filed my taxes this year, I would have received 1,200 USD).

I guess I'll have to explain what the story is about though..

So basically this guy, a young adult senior at a high school, has a terrible case of Insomnia. He can not sleep due to the stresses of his day-to-day life. Of which includes School through most of the day, then the night shift as a dishwasher at a shifty restaurant.

There's just barely 6 hours for our poor protagonist to grab sleep. 3 of which is dedicated to homework most of the time.. so why not just get rid of the middleman and not sleep at all? His time management skills suck anyway.

One fateful day, our protagonist comes across a deviation from his normal routine. Some shady looking guy claims he's a certified pharmacist, then gives our protagonist a bottle of strange looking pills, "free of charge, guaranteed to knock an elephant out."

Eh... What was there to lose? Sleep could be a blessing in disguise for once in a long-long time..

Our protagonist takes the pill later on a weekend he did not have to work. True to the shady guy's words, he is knocked out!

Just before our protagonist fell unconscious, he smiled to himself. For once, he gets to rest. Or so he thought.

A bright flash happened! Whoosh! Our protagonist feels very-very odd! With a squeal.. she awakens, as if from a bad dream. A nearby guard is alerted, then magics himself next to her side..

She doesn't know how, and she doesn't know why. But number 1, she doesn't feel tired. And number 2, she doesn't feel as if she's dreaming..

"My princess, is something the matter? Shall I call for help?"

PRINCESS!?

So that's the gist of the story.. but now we can get to the important question.

What do I label my story as??

By that, I mean, what should the leading gender be? Most of the story takes place in this alternative world where our guy character is a gender bent magical princess. His mind is male, but his body is 100% female.

The story will transfer back and forth between real life and fantasy land whenever our protagonist falls asleep. Meaning they are both male and female.. leading this story on as they slowly trip into a wierdly insane loop.

So.. final question, Male lead or female lead?

I'm hellbent on making this story a full novel (over 100+ chapters).

Soooo, hence the title!
