Chapter 8:Permanent escape
The body-guard like men started surrounding us and Vaishu tenses behind me.
"H-hey don't come n-near or I will-will hurt you guys!" Vaishu threatens.I felt like face palming.
The only weapon we had was this piece of wood, that I broke of the bench we were previously sitting on.I held it out like a gun but no one seemed threatened.
Suddenly, Vaishu ran up to an man and slapped him hard across the face. This took everyone by surprise.
She only rears back and kicks another man on the shin.
"RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!" she screams on the top of her lungs.
I quickly hit the guy blocking my path with the piece of wood and we runt towards the car like our life depended on it (it kind of did).
Quickly slamming the doors shut I turn the car on reverse and back out of the orchard but I was clearly not fast enough. Behind me, I hear the back doors of the car open and my father and Manna quickly sit in place.
"I SWEAR YOU GUYS MAKE ME SO ANGRYYYYY!" Vaishu shouts in frustration, she takes the metal thermos from the dash board and swings it hard over their head.
I just watch in astonishment as both men collapse on each other- completely unconscious.
Vaishu and I stare each other in shock.
"D-did i kill them?" she whimpers. I chuckle at her pout.
"No, you just knocked them out stupid!" I say before rolling my eyes, she sighs in relief.
"Lets take them to the police station!" she says, and i nod in agreement.
***
It took us around half an hour to get to the police station and explain to them our situation. My so called father and Manna were actually suspected with some criminal activity so they weren't coming out of jail anytime soon.
"How could you hand in your own father!" he yells defiantly from behind the bars.
I only stare at him with no emotion before pulling his collar from behind the bars.
"You have NO RIGHT to call yourself a father!"I say before smirking.
Vaishu and I walk out the station and drive back home.Narrating the story to my mom who was more than shocked- she even cries and blame everything on herself, typical of her.
"Mom, it wasn't anyone fault, but at least now you can get a permanent escape from the past that chases you!"
"You can finally leave the past in the past!" Vaishu chirps in.
Mom just smiles-a warm smile!
