At office

The morning starts peacefully for everyone except Cabir.

Someone sneaks into Cabir's cabin and holds his neck tightly making him difficult to breathe.

Cabir: Arey chodo mujhe. I don't want to die so soon. Abhi tho mujhe aur recipes try karna hai. Bin shaadi aise kunware ladke par zulm mat karo. Yaar mere fridge mein bahut sara khana bacha hua hai. Woh sab waste ho jayega. Chodo mujhe.

Person : gadhe, jaan jaane se pehle bhi tujhe khaane ki chinta padi hai?

Cabir: Tu? Don't break my heart. Vo hulk ka tho samaj aata hai. But, why do you want to kill me?

(The person is Abhimanyu)

Abhimanyu : dekh seedha seedha puch raha hun. So tell me, kya chal raha hai?

Cabir : yeh puchne aaya hai? Fogg chal raha hai.

Abhimanyu: Cabir, do you want to die right now?

Cabir: Tere andar Manik ki aatma tho nahi ghuss gayi? Acha puch what do you want to know?

Abhimanyu: What's going on between you and Manik that I don't know.

Cabir : (grinning) chal hatt, hum apni private baate tujhe kyun bataye?

Abhi: Tu sudhrega nahi na? Let me be straight. I am talking about Nandini. There's something about Nandini that you people are hiding from me. Tell me and don't you dare to lie.

Cabir : (sighing) Abhi listen I know you are protective about Nandini but you have to be patient about what I am going to say. Understand first, then react.

Abhi: ok. Say now.

Cabir: Manik...Manik loves Nandini.

Abhi: Cabirr, don't force me to kill you. Do - teen din pyaar nahi hota.

Cabir: Abhi shaant. Do-teen din ka nahi, 5 saal ka pyaar hai. Manik is in love with Nandini since school time. Haan, he hasn't named it as love yet. But trust me, I can see it in his eyes.

Cabir looked up to find a jaw-dropped-to-floor Abhimanyu with wide eyes. Cabir shaking him a bit,

Cabir: Abhi muh band kar, makhiyaan ghus jayengi, and mein tujhe apne paas nahi aane dunga. I am so hygienic you know.

It took some time for Abhi to realize what Cabir said. He composed himself and glared Cabir.

Abhi: So, you know Nandini since school days? And you people acted all strangers infront of her on the first day. Why?

Cabir: We didn't act. We haven't talked to her in school ever. You know her right? Sitting on the first bench, woh apne kitabo mein kho jaati thi aur Manik usme. Us time situation utna serious nahi tha. We thought it is just a teenage infatuation. But you know right, how Manik never went close to any girl. London jaane ke baad Jab bhi koi ladki ke paas jaata he felt he was betraying Nandini. Then he felt that he should have shown some courage. Eventually, he accepted his life and stayed with a hope that he would find Nandini once again. Maybe this time he would atleast talk to her properly, if not love.  Finally, we met her after all these years as your sister.

Abhi : lekin tune yeh baat mujhe London mein kyun nahi batayi?

Cabir: Mujhe kya pata tha ki she is your sister. Tu hamesha babydoll babydoll karta tha, mujhe laga baby doll koi Sunny leone hogi, aakar pata chala ki ye tho Niti Taylor nikli. (😋)

Abhi: Yeh baat Nandu ko pata hai?

Cabir : pagal hai? Agar pata hota tho main yahan nahi, Manik ke sangeet mein dance ki practice karta.

Abhi : (with a mischievous look) tho chal practice karte hai.

Cabir : what? Are you ok with this?

Abhi: ofcourse. Manik is a very good guy for my sister. But I want to know what she feels about Manik.

Cabir: Arey hum bhi wahi soch rahe the. (And tells him how he made Manik jealous by not mentioning about Abhimanyu being Nandu's brother. And also about Manik's fear/hesitation about Nandu's feelings)

Abhi : waah mere sher, tune akele akele itna kuch kar diya. I am impressed.

Cabir : Haan haan impress hokar mujhe murder karne ke liye aagaya?

Abhi: sorry yaar. But it's about Nandu and I couldn't think straight.

Cabir : I understand. Chal Manik ko satate hai.(evil grin)

Manik was busy with his files when Abhi and Cabir entered his cabin and bolted the door. Due to the door sound, Manik looks up.

Manik: Why did you lock the door? Tum dono ke irade mujhe kuch theek nahi lag rahe hai.

Cabir : (With a pissed off face) Manik, please be serious for once.

Manik : Cabir aur serious? Bata kya hua?

Cabir : (with a serious look) Mujhe tere shaadi mein naachna hai.

Manik: shaadi what? Cabirrr is this your serious matter?

Cabir: Haan tho, tujhe kya laga that I will propose you.

Chal hatt, mein second hand maal nahi leta.

Manik: Cabir I am already pissed off. Main tujhe maal dikh raha hun?

Abhi: Guys guys stop it. And Manik I think we need to talk.

Manik: about what?

Abhi: about Nandini.

Manik : Nandini kya? Kya hua? Is she fine?

Cabir: Arey mere Majnu shaant hoja. Nandini is fine.

Manik shows him eyes indicating the presence of Abhi there. Their eye talk was witnessed by Abhi.

Abhi: Use aankhe dikhana band kar. I know you like her.

Manik: na...nahi... noth...nothing...like that

Cabir: hayee, mera bacha? Bolne mein pareshaani ho rahi hai? Pani pee le. Abhimanyu meri aamanat tere haath mein saupa hain. Handle with care yaar.

(To which Manik gave Cabir a disgusted look which Cabir easily ignored.)

Abhi: nothing like that ke bacche...kal meri hi ghar mein, mere saamne, meri behen ko ghur raha tha. And you expect me to stay cool?

Manik : Whe....When...di...did...you ...se...see?

Abhi: When you were busy giving various looks to Nandini and confusing her.

Manik: Abhi, I won't say anything until I get any hint about Nandini's feelings. But I would make sure to protect her and keep her happy, even if I am not in her life.

Abhi: You want me to believe you?

And raises his hand to slap and Manik closes his eyes in reflex. But Abhi hugs him, leaving a shocked Manik.

Abhi: I trust you Manik. I just want her happiness. Nothing else.

Cabir who was a spectator to the situation till then shouted,

Cabir: juth bol raha hai yeh. Yeh tho pura murder plan banakar aaya tha mujhe maarne. Maut ke muh par rehkar bhi, Maine use tujh par trust dilaya.

Abhi: Be happy that you are still alive.

Manik: I hate you for keeping him alive.

Cabir : Baat hi nahi karni mujhe tum dono se. Jaa raha hun main apni princess ke pass. Bye.

Manik, Abhi: bye Cabir.

Cabir: Kaminey dost (With that he leaves from there)

Abhi: Manik, I hope you know how Introverted Nandu is. It would be very difficult to make her fall for you. Even if you do, she might not open up to you many a time.

Manik: I know. Abhi, I don't want Nandini to fall for me. I am not here to impress her. I want to share my life with her if that's possible. I will wait for her to open up to me. Even if she doesn't, I will make sure she won't suffer alone in any of her problems.

Abhi: Thanks, Manik. I don't need anything else. (With that he hugs him once again and leaves leaving a smiling Manik behind)
