Irene Sovetskaya yearns for vengeance.

After a strong suspicion of the Emperor's hand in her parents' assassination, the newly titled Countess desires to spill the blood of the monarchy. To do so, she must be admitted to the royal court, and marrying the prince seems the most plausible choice. The only problem is that he will never choose her as a prospective bride. As such, she devises one single plan—use Tom Riddle, a pauper that looks almost identical to the prince, to infiltrate the castle and seize the crown.

Be advised that this book contains the following: graphic death, torture, manipulation, gaslighting, explicit gore, mature scenes, religious themes.

This fanfic has nothing to do with the canon universe of Harry Potter. There will be no Hogwarts, but there will be magic. Tom Riddle, from a psychological point of view, will remain the same. The changes that I have made to his character mostly refer to his blood prejudice, which I do not want to write about.

Note: This fanfic portrays a relationship based on my own experience with narcissistic behavior and sociopaths. It should NOT be romanticized, but rather acknowledge the damaging effects that it can have. While I do intend to have my characters grow, it takes time, just like it did for me. Please understand that Tom Riddle is not someone who should be sought after, not with his behavior in the first book at least. This is potentially triggering due to manipulation and gaslighting, but also tailored to my own struggles. Not everyone experiences such things the same way, but we must acknowledge the effects that manipulation will have on mental health! I fully accept criticism so please let me know on anything you think might be improper, but do not invalidate me or be disrespectful. Please do not project yourself on my characters, as they are fictional and in a fantasy setting, therefore they do not abide by the moral structure of our society.

I do not own Tom Riddle or any other Harry Potter-associated concept.
