Vampires
Vampires are immortal humanoid creatures famous for the thirst for blood and often beautiful and timeless appearances. Often thought of as demons for their demonic tendencies and origins, vampires have become their own category rather than just some sub-genre of demons.
Abilities/Powers: There are two categories of abilities/powers- common (all have them) and uncommon (certain few no matter their origin). Common abilities include superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, durability, and senses. They can heal quickly and even regenerate limbs, especially when consuming blood. They can hypnotize humans and other weak-willed supernaturals to do their bidding (these creatures/victims are typically called thralls and become devoted to their vampire masters). They can also scale walls and shapeshift (typically bats, wolves, or spiders). They have four fangs total, two on the top and two on the bottom, both of which are retractable (the top two are usually for piercing skin and drinking blood, the bottom two are used to infect the blood stream). Uncommon abilities include but are not limited to telepathy, telekinesis, animal control, pyrokinesis, atmokinesis, electrokinesis, flight, necromancy, dream manipulation, and blood magic (blood bond: a vampire feels/senses a humans emotions after feeding on them while the human has sexual dreams about the vampire, typically lasts about a day & blood rising: a vampire can be brought back from the dead from a mixture of their ashes and blood with a pure blooded witch speaking the incantation, different blood types will have a different effect on the vampire).
Weaknesses: Vampires are famously weak against sunlight, garlic, Dead Man's Blood, a stake through the heart (made of ashwood, oak, or hawthorn), beheading, desiccation (being drained of blood) a werewolf's bite, and fire. They are also vulnerable to the right of invitation, of which they must be invited in to someone's home (this can be used to identify a vampire, and can be used against the when the invitation is revoked). There are ways to get around invitation, such as public places or a house being up for sale (in which case you're practically not in charge of the property). They are also weak against silver and mercury. Surprisingly enough, church/holy things like holy water and blessed ground are more difficult for turned/newborn vampires while vampires that have lived for a few centuries are able to push through the "discomfort" on blessed ground and holy water merely irritates their skin as opposed to how it would burn a turned/newborn. Contaminated blood will weaken a vampire to the point of death.
Social/Political Stuffs: When it comes to vampire society, it is mainly a sort of aristocracy, in which there are a few pure blooded vampires that rule over the rest of the vampire population. There are also covens, families of vampires of which the Elder or the original founder of that coven is in charge. Vampires are also often in high power positions in the human world, however this is often every other forty years so as to not arouse suspicion from humans.
Mating: vampires don't typically have mates, however when they do find a mate or some other type of life partner, they mate for life.
Offspring: Pure blood vampires or newly turned vampires are the only ones capable of producing offspring. These offspring mentally mature quickly, reaching full mental and emotional maturity in ten years while physically they age like humans up until twenty years before they stop aging. Vampires have been known to adopt children of all species, as they're strangely inclined to protect and take care of children
Transmission: Vampirism can be transmitted through a blood exchange, where the human has their blood completely drained to the point of death before having vampire blood flooded through their system. It can also be transmitted through bite and has four stages that span 7-10 days. It can be cured during any of the stages, but is recommended to be cured during the first 2-3 stages. There has been rare cases of vampirism caused through witchcraft or demonic possession/intercourse.
Stage 1) The virus destroys the immune system of the human and replaces it with its own. The human may feel weak.
Stage 2) After approximately 30 hours, the body begins to change: pupils become dilated, coughs & chills, irregular heartbeat, high fever, chills, head/body aches, and weakened sight.
Stage 3) After 2-4 days, their symptoms are followed by a weakness to sunlight and insatiable bloodlust.
Stage 4) After 5-6 days, the human enters a coma like state. They wake up about 16-48 hours later as a vampire when they "die" during their coma.
Natural Enemies: Werewolves (for reasons mentioned in the werewolf chapter), humans, and Nephilim (because of their blood and tendency to hunt vampires).
Similar Creatures: Other creatures that thrive on the consumption of blood.
