iv. getting to know better

They have arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Stunned to say at least, Ariel gasped at the sight of it. It wasn't like how she imagined it would be. It was much bigger, brighter, and darker than she thought, but by just looking at it, she feels like belong there. She feels like she's home. Getting out of the train following the golden trio, The bushy-haired girl looked at the angel behind her.

"Are you supposed to be with the first year on the boat?" She gave her a question. Her two friends waited for the answer while the guardian angel frown.

"A boat?" Ariel's eyes followed Ron's pointed finger. She gasped when she saw the small boats, magically sailing across the lake as they get near to the Hogwarts entrance. She turned to face them. Ariel giggles nervously. "I didn't know that."

Harry potter smiled "It's okay. You can come with us, we will probably get there before the first years do, then you'll be with them with the sorting hat starts."

Ariel smiled gratefully at him and starts to follow them. The walk to their ride was silence and they were grateful about. Observing her surrounded Her eyes widen but she met almost bumped into a weird looking creature with leathery wings and a face that matches a dragon. His shiny black eyes met her soft brown one. Ariel crossed the creature's cheeks as he leaned into them.

Without acknowledging the two wizards and a witch watching her with a stunned expression. They shared a look of surprise. Hermione read about them in Hogwarts history book. She knows a lot about them.

"You see them?" Hermione raised a question to the frown faced angel. She gave the creature the last glance before looking them

          "You can't?" She frowned deeply

          "No, no one can—"

"Only when you saw someone die. Someone died in front of you." Harry added on Ron's information. He saw the look on Ariel's face and it broke his already broken heart.

Ariel stared deeply into the black-winged horse's eyes. She let out a sign when she remembers who died in front of her. A deeply sad mood washed on the guardian angel's face. She ignored her feeling and the eyes on her and ride upon the carriage trailed behind them.

"Are you coming in or you'll just stand there and stare at the creature that you can't see?" She asked them a question. before anyone could answer, they ride upon the carriage and sat next to and in front of her. The golden trio glanced up at her each minute when silence took over as the carriage started to pull by the creature.

Harry decided to break the silence. "So what Hogwarts house you think you will get sorted into?"

Ariel took a moment to think about it, but she remembered that all the guardian angel's traits fit into the Gryffindor house. "Gryffindor I guess. My family got sorted into Gryffindor so I think it runs down the family?"

She replied more of a question. A smile spread of the golden trio faces. They were happy and delighted that she didn't say Slytherin. As for how much they hated the house. Ariel saw the look of relief on their faces and immediately knew what is going on.

"You thought I was going to say Slytherin, right?" She asked them, with her eyes narrowing at them. They nodded. "What wrong with that?"

"All Slytherins are bad." Harry spoke his mind.

"And circular is the ignorant language. Not everyone is bad, maybe the Slytherins that you have met are bad. I mean— not everyone in Gryffindor is good either." She refers to the only bad Gryffindor wizard she knows, her father.

"I totally agree with you, but I'm not exaggerating but none of them that we have met are good, and that's annoying if you want to compare them to the Ravenclaws." Hermione pointed out (i had to, we're da best)

"But every house has it good and bad, but the best house is the one who shows their good side the most, like for example, Ravenclaws, you have all this one opinion on them, that they are good and nice people, and that because they hide their bad side to themselves and not show it to others."

"But that doesn't make them hypocrites? If they pretended to be good but deep down their heart they are bad?" Harry questioned. Ron and Hermione paused for the answer.

Ariel nodded. "It does make them hypocrites. But when you hide the darkest thought and murderous desire, one day you will explode, no matter what, so tell me did any Ravenclaws you know explode? No."

"Do get mad at me, but that does not make any sense." Ron admitted. "Not all people explode. Some of them are good and hiding it."

"Give me one person who successfully did it? No one I mean no can even live his life pretending to be something he's not."

The golden trio had to pause for a few moments to think about someone. They failed. No one crossed their mind. Silence took over the place, a comfortable silence. Minutes have passed by when they arrived to the entrance of Hogwarts.

"Why am I nervous?" Ariel spoke to herself, Harry heard her and save her a soft smile and mentioned for her to follow them. She did.

"I hope this year has less drama. Let's hope you know who give us a break." Ron Weasley wished. Ariel looked at him weirdly. Ron didn't notice, so his other friends.

"Please don't forget about Draco and his gooses." Hermione said his name out in disgust. Harry gave his best friends a small smile before Ariel stops them with a question coming out in a confused tone.

"Draco Malfoy? He's the guy with the white-blonde hair and pale skin, with a blue eyes, he's a Slytherin, isn't he?"

"Yes he is." Ron's face turned into disgust at the mention of his name. "He is a wanker."

Both Hermione and Harry agreed. The corner of Ariel's eyes crinkled. She held a broad smile on her face when she remembered who this blonde wizard is. She chuckled slightly.

"He is definitely a Wanker!" Saying the last with a British accent got all her new friends to laugh. "Did I do it right? Wanker"
