hey, everyone!

thank you for checking out this train wreck that i created almost a year ago, but left in my drafts for some ungodly reason.

so deftones don't have a very big fan base when it comes to fanfiction. besides my own, the only fics i've found are crackfics (curb stomped by chino moreno? yes, please.) or slash oneshots *cough* JON DAVIS AND CHINO ARE MY OTP *cough*

so to pay my third favorite band respect (or disrespect, because i feel like their drummer abe would be the only one to get a kick out of this if they were ever to find it), i decided to write this fic. 

i also wanted to write it because i think chino moreno is like... a total daddy.

... literally. he's a total daddy. he has three kiddos.

get your minds out of the gutter, guys. DAMN. what did you think i meant?

ANYWAYS--

this band has been a thing since 1988, and they are still going STRONK (new album the 25th, bitches!). and with their long legacy comes A LOT of drama.

so, if we're being honest, i'm advising extreme caution with this one.

racism (brief, but still), drug addiction, dysfunctional marital situations, death, infidelity (we love chino, but he wasn't always the nicest), explicit sexual content (ooh spicyyy, crenshaw_punches), and probably some other stuff i can't remember right now.

get ready y'all, this fic spans for 15 years. and you are gonna see some BAD hairdos and fashion choices. an example of that being the band's look™ in 1992.

regardless, i love these rats. and you will either adore them or absolutely H A T E them once you start reading this fic. 

same goes for my ocs. jez, ashlee, kim, bambi and izzie (ooh, bambi and izzie aren't even on the cast page, so mysterious, so spoopy... 👀) are my girls, and they deserve a lot of love, even though i often think the only levelheaded ones are ashlee and izzie (jez be kinda blonde and emo, bambi has massive daddy issues, and kim be kind of nosy and annoying). 

just bear with them. these ladies go through a lot of shit because of these stupid boys.

so beware. don't get offended by anything and send me hate. i just went through all the shit with you. if you don't like it for any reason (the smut, the drugs, or if you just have a personal vendetta against turntablist frank delgado like i do), just exit out of the page and go read a crappy one direction fic, you poser.

... just kidding, i love you guys to death.
