A week and a half went by, Shadow Six and Four grew closer each day.

7:21 PM

-Six POV-

Third battle and last of the day.

Shadow Six immediately went over to talk with Four. Which now was the usual.

I smiled at my sister, I'm glad she's making friends- or, well. A friend.

I looked over at Mono, I walked over to Mono. I wanted to talk to him about Shadow Six-- Mostly about how well I thought Shadow Six was taking all this stuff.

-Third Person (But kinda in Shadow Six's POV)-

Six went over to Mono and talked to him, Shadow Six couldn't hear what they were saying. She also noticed they kept looking back at her, but that didn't bother her much.

"So, Four. All these days gone by and you still haven't been picked to fight." Shadow Six said. "Lucky, huh?"

"Actually, I have been. It happened when you weren't selected to go into the holding rooms." Four said.

"Oh." Shadow Six said. "Wait, that was like. One day, wasn't it?"

The Taikos started playing.

"I think so." He said.

"Do they just keep forgetting to have you fight or something?" Shadow Six said.

Four shrugged.

-Six POV-

I watched Shadow Six and Four talk to each other.

"I think they'll be best friends eventually, you?" I asked Mono, he shrugged.

"I guess so, if one of them doesn't get killed first." Mono said.

We were talking quietly so Shadow Six and Four couldn't hear us.

"Mono!" I said.

"Probably gonna be the bandaged kid." Mono added on.

"Seriously, Stop." I said.

-Shadow Six POV-

"Hey, I have a question." Shadow Six asked. "Two actually, one's very important."

"What is it?" Four asked.

"The least important one, do you have any other cell mates?" Shadow Six asked.

"No, my cellmates died off a while ago." Four said. "Before I met you."

"Now the other question?" He asked.

"Can you b--" Shadow Six was cut off by The Janitor coming into the holding room.

"Bandage?..." The Janitor called out.

"What?" Shadow Six said, looking at The Janitor.

"That's my really weird gladiator name" Four explained.

The Janitor went over and grabbed Four, Four didn't run when he was nearing.

"You can tell me whatever you were going to say, after the fight!" Four yelled before he was taken out of the room, The Janitor closing the door behind him.

Soon, The Hanging Man came into the room with the dog snare pole. He caught Mono with it and dragged him out the room.

-------------------- ((Real Third Person))

Four was being put up against Mono.

Both children were let out of the battle enter cages.

The other children watched them both from the barred windows.

"This round will be a weapons round!" The Lady announced, soon the Long Dagger was dropped into The Arena. But this time it landed on it's side.

Both children raced towards the Long Dagger, Mono tripped Four halfway to the Long Dagger.

Mono picked up the Long Dagger and ran towards Four. Charging at him.

Four rolled out the way and got up, he started running away, trying to get distance between them so he could plan an attack.

Mono threw the Long Dagger at Four, going for his shoulder.

The Long Dagger hit his neck instead.

-Shadow Six POV-

I watched Four drop down onto the ground, breathing heavily. Unlike Five, Four was able to breath but it looked like it was extremely hard for him.

He was obviously dying and fast.

I started crying, I don't know what to think of this.

Wait, the Question.

I needed to ask him...

Maybe I could...

I gripped onto the barred window bars, I took a deep breath.

"FOUR, IN YOUR FINAL MOMENTS OF LIFE I WILL ASK YOU THIS QUESTION I MEANT TO ASK EARLIER, WILL YOU BE MY BEST FRIEND?" I screamed out, crying as I did so.

"YES." Four used the last of his breath to say, he started gasping for the air he couldn't get. He started suffocating.

Blood started to come out his mouth, pouring onto the sand.

Four fell over and died.

"...Four?" I said in a shaky voice.

-Third Person-

As the guests cheered, chanting Mono's Gladiator name 'Tokyo'.

Mono went over to Four's body. Feeling so guilty.

Mono has never felt this guilty for killing a child before. He doesn't even know why he felt so guilty.

Mono looked at Shadow Six, Shadow Six looking so distressed.

Maybe that was the reason for his guilt, killing Shadow Six's new best friend.

"Stop it, Mono." He muttered to himself. "It's just another child, get over it."

-Shadow Six POV-

Six hugged me, attempting to comfort me. It didn't work, not even a tiny bit.

However, I just accepted the hug. Even hugged back.

The Hanging Man came into the arena. Mono was tranquilized and Four's body was put into a plastic bag.The Hanging Man left with both children.

The rest of the battles passed, finishing up the final battles for today.

Once we were back in our cell I just lied down in the corner. Thinking to myself.

I've convinced everyone to leave me alone, I just wanted some time to myself in this corner.

Mono avoided everybody by staying on top of his ledge, when we were given dinner Mono took the food to his ledge and ate there.

Soon everyone fell asleep, well everyone except me. I was still awake.

I finally left the corner and went over to the Cell Door. I turned around and leaned on it.

"So you can really die that easily." I looked around at my cellmates. "Anyone you love can die just in seconds in that Arena."

I sighed.

"There's no choosing the strongest over weakest when you can just get a dagger in your windpipe and then boom you're dead." I whisper-yelled, trying not to wake the others.

"Ugh, with that knowledge. It gets me second guessing my relationships and now all this talking feels like such a waste when all your relationships get broken so easily. "

-Third Person (but still kinda in Shadow Six's view.)

Shadow Six facepalmed, she stayed in that pose. Just thinking. 

Then, an idea popped into her head. Her eyes widened.

"Wait a minute..." She said, thinking a bit more before she let the words exit her mouth.

"Before Four died, I saw Mono and Six talking to each other. I saw them keep looking back at me." Shadow six recalled.

"Did...Did Six talk with Mono to plan to kill Four...?" She whispered. "D-Did my own sister...No, no. I refuse to believe that."

Shadow Six stared at Six, then she stared down at the ground.

Shadow Six remembered something else.

"When me and Six first got reunited she wanted me to pretend to die. W-When you die in The Arena... they stuff you into a plastic bag with no air holes." She said. "W-Was she trying to get rid of me."

"No-No, she wouldn't. And if she did she would have just killed me right then and there..."

"Unless, she wanted to keep her reputation up. Killing your own sister on purpose would be horrible, but making it seem like an..accident... "

Shadow Six stared back at Six. She looked sad, then she looked angry.

She walked over to Six and sat down next to her.

Then, she whispered to her. Her tone filled with anger.

"Well, it's a big fat crying shame, the way you lost your touch and senses, thinking you can do whatever you want, I guess your pride weighed a bit too much thinking you could trick us to get the results you want. but no. not me. And now you've crossed the boundaries of good morals, wandering to a side I never thought you'd ever reach. You try to justify your actions by doing disgusting acts covered by your quote on quote 'goodness'. Tricking the blind children who don't know better."

She frowned.

"You killed an innocent child to try to make my life worse, and in the beginning you tried to kill me." Shadow Six whispered. "Who knows what you'll do to somebody else you don't really want here."

"You probably manipulated Mono into killing Four." Shadow Six said. "And you were being all quiet about it in the holding room because you didn't want anyone else to put a stop to it. Weren't you?"

"It all makes sense now, you might have even planned to get separated from me when we were on the mainland." Shadow Six said.

"You don't deserve your friends, you're just going to use them. You just want to keep your reputation up. This escape plan might be a hoax too."

"Your friends deserve a better Six."

"How about I repeat my message with a new part added, huh?"

"Well, it's a big fat crying shame, the way you lost your touch and senses, thinking you can do whatever you want, I guess your pride weighed a bit too much thinking you could trick us to get the results you want. but no. not me. And now you've crossed the boundaries of good morals, wandering to a side I never thought you'd ever reach. "And now your only option is to be replaced by me to fix your wrongdoings."
