~*~ My Word Translation Comment Goes Here ~*~

Six and Seven woke up, however, Mono wasn't there.

It took them a moment to realize.

"Where's Mono?" Seven asked.

"Here!" Mono said. He squeezed through the bars of the fence and came back to the alleyway. He walked over to them.

"What were you doing?" Six asked.

"I was just walking around, I had too much energy to just wait around in the alleyway until you guys eventually woke up." He explained.

"Alright..." Six said, "Well since we're all awake we should continue our journey."

"Journey?" Seven asked.

"Oh, right." Six began, "So we're on a journey to make it to the Everlasting Gates Of Wonderarona to be revived-"

Seven cut Six off, "That place exists? I can be revived?!" He said, full of excitement.

"- Yes, but it's a long journey and we'll be going through many dangerous areas." Six said.

"Probably way more than just 'many'." Mono added.

"Yeah, probably. We don't know what's outside this place, really. Besides some names of some places." Six said, "Heck, we only know what a small portion of this town is like."

"How long have you guys been here and how old are you? I just wanna see how much experience in this world you guys have." Seven said.

"I'm 11 near 12, been here for 5 years." Mono said.

"I'm 12, been here for 1 day. Well I guess it's two days now." Six said.

"I'm 11, been here for 7 years."  Seven said. "Also, how come Mono doesn't know more about this place?" Seven asked.

"He've only been in this area. He never left because he thought the area he was in was the safest area." Six explained for Mono.

"I don't blame him, the town outside this area is rough." Seven said, "Only made it 3 days before I dipped from that part of town and returned here... Well it was more of a kidnapping than leaving by your own terms but still."

"You've been outside this area?" Mono asked.

"And you've been kidnapped? Care to explain that?" Six asked too.

"Gladly! Sit around the burnt out campfire for a story." Seven said, sitting at where the campfire was blown out. The others sat with them.

"So once I got tired of this place I decided to explore farther into the town. I noticed that the farther you went into town, the darker the pastel colors got. Eventually it'll get to a point where the place was just very dark pink, very dark blue, and just very dark colors in general. The lighting is dark all the time as if it's always night. You can see the sun in the sky clearly and it's still dark." Seven explained.

"There's many enemies in that part of town, I managed to avoid most of them but one caught me. It was this old janitor-looking guy with long arms and short legs. He was wearing a black mask on the side of his face, and his face skin was pulled down.  At first I thought it was just bandages covering his eyes but on closer inspection it was actually his skin. Anyway long story short, this janitor-person ended up putting me in some small cage and giving me to some dude. I was put into the back of a van and then they drove away with me."

(Quick Note : When Seven was still alive and in The Maw, The Janitor wasn't taking care of children. It was The Hanging Man (before he committed sucide) so Seven doesn't know The Janitor. I'm telling you this because I don't think I'll get a chance to explain this in-story.))

"That sounds like somebody I faced before in real life." Six said, "The Janitor. He looks exactly the same as how you described him, except the mask part. He wasn't wearing any type of mask but he was wearing some tiny bowler hat on his head."

"Did he die? If not it might be his alter ego." Seven said.

Six got a flashback of her chopping off The Janitor's arms and killing The Janitor.

"Uh... Yeah." Six said. "He died from blood lost I believe."

"Unfortunate," Seven said. "Unless he was a bad person."

"Oh, yeah he was. He's a Maw Worker." Six said.

"Oh." Seven said.

"You guys from The Maw?" Mono asked.

"Yes." Six and Seven said.

"What's is it like?" Mono asked.

"One word, horrible." Six said.

"Understood." Mono said.

"May we start our great journey to revival?" Seven asked.

"We should." Six said. "Seven you can be our lead now since you know more about the area than Mono."

Seven nodded.

Six grabbed the food bag from yesterday which was now half-empty and put it over her shoulder.

The three children continued their journey, jumping and walking across buildings, running across roads, and travelling through more alleyways.

They eventually got to where the area's color began turning darker.

-Third person (but kinda in Six's view)-

The three were walking down a sidewalk, the streets were empty and lots of buildings were empty. You would be able to call it an abandoned town if it wasn't for some apartments lights being on and a small amount of stores still being open.

Suddenly they heard barking, barking of a puppy. They followed the sound to see a small german shepherd puppy trapped behind a fence, it went to the locked gate once the kids came over, it looked starved.

"Oh, poor thing." Six said.

"Looks starved." Seven said.

"I'm going to free it." Six said, she went over to the gate.

Six unlocked the gate. "Hey buddy!"

The puppy happily came out, barking.

Suddenly, the puppy began making demonic barks.

"Uh..." Six backed up.

The puppy opened it's face up like a demogorgan from Stranger Things, revealing thousands of sharp dog teeth. As it opened it's face gushed out it's face mouth, making a puddle of drool on the pavement.

"So uh... We're immortal, right? Spirits...?" Six asked.

"Nope, as I told you before. We're still mortal." Mono said, running off.

"F*ck." Six cursed, before running off.  Seven ran off too.

Thankfully the puppy was... Well, a puppy and not an adult dog so they had a good chance to escape.

"SEVEN, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US ABOUT FREAKING DEMON DOGS."  Six yelled.

"WHA- I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY EXISTED HERE." Seven yelled back.

"GUYS! STOP FIGHTING!" Mono yelled. "WE GOT OTHER THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT."

"WROARFOARFWS" The pup barked, spit flying everywhere.

They were nearing a flower shop. "Go under that table!" Mono yelled, pointing at a stand with a chair next to it. The stand had multiple plants ontop of it.

The two did as Mono said, Mono intentionally slowed down to be in the back. Once Six and Seven went under the table Mono quickly climbed onto the chair and then jumped onto the table.

When the puppy was about to run under the table Mono pushed a plant off the table, the plant fell on the puppy pot-first. It knocked all the air out of the puppy. Haggardly breathing, the puppy started to slip out from under the pot.

Mono threw another plant on the puppy before jumping off the table and going over to his friends.

"That won't hold the dog for long, we gotta go now." Mono said.

"Down another alley?" Six said.

"And try to get on a roof so the dog can't follow us easily?" Seven added.

"Good idea, both of you." Mono said.

The three kids ran off into another alleyway, however very soon they began hearing the same demonic barking again. The puppy was free and was chasing them down again.

The young dog managed to lead/herd the children into a dead end, cornering the three children. Once the dog cornered them it stopped running and just began walking towards them, gathering it's energy again.

Six looked up at the wall that was in their way and then at the dog that was walking towards them, it's face mouth still open.

With a fierce bark, the dog began running towards them. Ready to scoop up a child and eat it.

Suddenly, before the dog could even harm one of them, two long arms grabbed the three. Six in the right hand and Mono and Seven in the left.

-Six POV-

I looked up, it was The Janitor who saved us. He wasn't wearing a mask like Seven said though.

But I shouldn't say save, he must of rescued us for his own profit.

"Is this the guy you were talking about eariler?" Mono asked.

"It is." Seven said. "But he isn't wearing a mask."

The Janitor grunted and jumped down from the wall, jumping off on the opposite side so he wouldn't be attacked by the dog of course.

He walked through the streets and took us somewhere, walking a bit far down the sidewalk he turned towards a building. It had no signs and it had no windows besides a small one above the front door. At least on the first level. The lights weren't on from what I could tell by the small window above.

The Janitor went into the building, closing the door behind him. He didn't bother to turn the lights on since he was blind.

I could see the silhouette of someone in the dark, I squinted my eyes. It was a silhoutte of... The Janitor? I could tell that this one had a mask attached to the side of his face like Seven said.

Wait a second.

Aw, frick.

There's two janitors.

-Seven POV-

I couldn't see much. I only noticed a silhouette but I couldn't tell who it was. We were carried through the dark, I felt us going down and heard the sounds of walking down a staircase.

Then I felt like I was going sideways, at some point even upside-down.

"Are you guys getting these weird feelings of being upside-down, side ways, and other stuff?" I asked.

-Third Person-

"Yes-" Six said, sounding like she was about to throw up. "and I'm getting motion sickness from this."

"I'm surprised my paperbag hasn't fallen off, wait has my paperbag fallen off? Oh my god, what if it has?!" Mono said, beginning to panic. "No, no, no, this isn't good."

"Mono, calm down." Seven said.

"But!" Mono suddenly sounded very happy again, as if somebody just drop kicked all his panic out the window. "If it did fall off, I can always get a new paper bag~!"

"You got over that fast." Six said.

"I can get over that stuff fast!" Mono said.

"That was unnaturally fast though." Seven said. "You were about to have a panic attack or something by the sound of it."

"There's nothing natural about this world we're in." Mono said.

"Yeah but..." Seven said.

"Okay, I'll let you in on a little secret..." Mono said.

"Eh?" Six said.

"I have a little thing where I can get over bad stuff very quickly. Much faster than other people. It might be because of my awful attention span to unpositive things." Mono said, "So basically I can get over bad things easier and faster than other people."

"Interesting." Seven said.

Suddenly they stopped moving.

-Seven POV-

Everything was still dark.

"Are we here-" I suddenly felt myself getting slammed against iron bars. "Ow!"

"HEY- OW!" I heard Six yell close to me.

"Ow." I heard Mono say, which sounded right next to me.

I heard something iron slide across something else and was put next to me.

Then I heard The Janitor walk off and close a door.

I waited for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. I could kinda see. I was in a small cage, Six and Mono were right next to me. We were on a table. There were also lots of cages on the floor, some cages piled up high and nearly reached the ceiling.

Six set the food bag down, I forgot she was even carrying that.

"I'm surprised you held onto that." I said. "I honestly forgot you were carrying that while being chased by that monster dog."

-Third Person-

Mono felt his head, and then his back.

"I still got my mask and backpack." Mono said.

"What's in the backpack anyway?" Six asked.

"Uh, just some stuff I found in my years living in the town." Mono said.

"You think there's anything that could help us get out of these cages?" Seven asked.

"Uh, well we need to find out what kind of cage this is." Mono said.

"Oh right." Seven said.

We felt around our cage doors.

"Mine has a lock that you can picklock." Six said.

"Mine too." Seven said.

"And me." Mono said.

Mono took off his backpack and opened it, he carefully searched through his backpack as if he was trying not to touch something.

Mono pulled out 6 pins. He put 4 pins in the pocket and kept holding the other two in his hand.

Mono went to his lock and began picklocking it.

"You know how to picklock?" Six said, amazed. "And you're doing it in the dark."

"I've became a great picklocker from stealing food." Mono said.

"Food?" Seven said.

"Uh, yeah. From picklocking the shop's front door open at night to steal food inside." Mono explained.

"Oh." Seven said. He wondered how Mono would reach the lock but didn't ask about it.

"What did you think I was talking about? Removing picklocks from food?" Mono laughed a bit before opening his cage, successfully picklocking the door.

Mono zipped up his backpack and put it back on him before walking over to Seven's cage next and working on his lock. In about 2 and a half minutes Mono unlocked his cage.

Mono went over to Six's cage and unlocked that too in around the same time as Seven's lock.

Six quickly ate a small piece of bread out the food bag before grabbing it. She put the food bag over her shoulders again. She then finally stepped out the cage.

The three climbed off the table and looked around the room, Mono leaving the 6 used pins on the table.

They went to the door The Janitor left through, it was a door with an eye craved into it. The door handle was out of reach for a child.

Six recognized the door as the same door in The Hanging Man room.

Six looked around the room, no chair. Actually. the only real furniture in this room was a table. The rest of the room just filled with cages.

"Can you guys stack on each other?" Six asked.

"I'm sorry, what?" Seven said.

"Well since we can't reach the handle I want you to stack on each other so we could reach the handle." Six explained, "Unless you wanna break your back trying to move those cages."

"They're not even that big, I'm sure we can handle it." Seven said.

"Hey, I am feeling a bit lazy today and don't feel like pulling some dirty cages so how about you suck it up and stack on each other. It's faster." Six said, crossing her arms.

"We could try to pull a cage out the pile, I don't think it'll make much noise." Seven said.

"Suck it up, be a man!" Six said.

"Six-"

"Be a man!"

"Please-"

"Be a man!"

"S-"

"MAN."

Mono got on his knees. "Stand on my shoulders or back." Mono said, "and I'm pretty sure I'm the strongest person here so I can take it!"

"Techinally the strongest person should be Six since she's oldest." Seven said.

"Age doesn't mean strength... But that does mean I get authority snce I'm the oldest! Ranking in at 12 years old while you guys are 11." Six said.

"I don't even know what authority means..." Mono said.

"Yeah, cuz you're a little 11 year old. Not as old as me, not as wise as me." Six said.

"Hey! I'm the second oldest person here, I was nearly 12 when I died." Mono said.

"Okay. But you're still 11 so yeah, no." Six said, "Maybe you'll be second in command."

"I'd like to be second in command!" Mono said.

"But that doesn't mean you're not treated the same way. I'll still treat you the same way as Seven, a 11-year-old like him." Six said.

"Oh..." Mono said. "Okay."

Seven stood on Mono's back.

"Oof-- I wasn't ready," Mono said.

Seven crouched down while standing on Mono's back.  "Now you get on my back, Six." Seven said.

Six climbed onto Seven's back, she then jumped and grabbed the handle. Opening it

Once the door began opening she dropped down fron the handle. On the way down Six ended up accidentally flicking a switch on that wasn't visible in the dark, causing the lights to turn on.

The light switch was located unusually close to the door handle which was very odd.

Six looked up at the door that was now cracked open door, she pushed it open.

It revealed a black and white checkered path, the path was floating over a white void. The path would twist, doing a full 360 loop.

"Ah, so that's how I got motion sickness." Six said.

"H-How did The Janitor get pass this?!" Seven said. "And how is the room not dark anymore? There aren't even any lights in here?! HOW DOES THIS ROOM EVEN EXIST? THIS IS BREAKING THE LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE!"

Mono said nothing, just walked down the path.

"Mono!" Seven yelled.

Mono went to the loop, he stared at it for a moment before continuing walking down the path.

Then gravity broke even farther and Mono began walking up the path. His paper bag didn't fall off either. Mono stopped when he was standing upside down on the path, he looked down at the other children.

"Gravity doesn't exist on this path." Mono said before continuing down the path.

Six tried to walk up the path. She managed to, defying gravity like Mono. The stuff she was holding also defy gravity so her food bag and stuff was fine.

"Wa-" Seven said. "That's--"

"Defying the laws of physics?" Six finished the sentence for him, "Don't care."

"Say No to logic! Logic cannot affect you without your permission!" Mono said, laughing.

Seven decided to give it a try, like the others he defyed gravity to walk on the path.

"This-- I don't know if it's amazing or terrifying!" Seven said.

"Amazifying then." Mono said, "Fusion of both words."

"Okay, so this room is just amazifying." Seven said.

The kids walked down the path, Six hurrying along the path to get upright since she was starting to get nauseous from being upside down.

Six was the first to get upright, then Mono, then Seven.

Infront of them now was a staircase and ontop of it was door, luckily cracked open. They ran up the steps and towards the door and opened it, the lights were on inside. They were in some walk-in closest room. Many masks, and clothes were stored in the closet. The clothes looked almost exactly the same to what The Janitor was wearing right now, there were only small differences like markings on the clothes, shorter sleeves, and other stuff.

"Does that one light in the cage room light up the whole house?" Six asked.

"It'll be very strange if it did." Seven said, "Then again, everything is strange."

"We're probably going to face more Stranger Things." Mono said. (a pun was definitely intended.)

"Yeah, we don't know how weird this world can get." Six said, "For all we know, that room we just left was the bare minimum of weirdness."

"Well, I think we should focus on getting out this house."  Seven said, he looked around the room. "Wow, this guy wears the exact same things."

They went up the door, they were about to stack again to try to open it but then they heard somebody coming from the other side of the door. They backed away from the door and went near a corner that was to the right of the door.

The door slowly opened and The Janitor came in, however it was the masked one. It wore a black happy theatre mask, it's mouth had sharp teeth painted onto it. The mask was still placed on the side of their face.

The Masked Janitor also was wearing a black and white tuxedo, though it didn't have a bow.

They quietly watched The Masked Janitor, They went over to the door they just came through and went into the room with the looping path, leaving the door open behind him.

The Janitor also the left the door to the closet room open.

"They must be going to get us from the cage room, well they're going to get a surprise. Oh boy, must suck to be them." Six whispered before leaving the closet room, the others followed behind her.

They were in a hallway that lead to the living room, they quietly walked down the hallway and into the living room. The living room had a old wooden staircase going upstairs to the left side of the room, the railing looked like it would break off soon in the next few days.

There was also a room going to a kitchen to the right, easily enter-able since the entrance was a doorless doorframe but the children didn't care about that kitchen right now.

The front door was closed and by the looks of it locked and requires a key. Besides the front door was a stack of books piled up.

Six climbed onto the book piled and jumped and grabbed the door knob. She tried to open it but she couldn't, it was indeed locked.

Six lost her grip and slid off the door knob, hitting the floor with a luckily quiet thump.

"Looks like we either need another way out or have to find the key." Mono whispered. "How about we check upstairs?"

"Alright then." Seven whispered.

"And let's be as quiet as possible." Six whispered, getting up from the fall.

"Of course." Mono whispered.

They went to the stairs and quietly walked up the steps. Unfornately despite how quiet they were being the stair creaked every few steps. They hoped The Janitor would think it was their pal walking up the steps and not them.

They made it to the top of the stairs, no janitor in sight so far. They were greeted by a not-so long hallway with lots of doors on the sides, there was one door that was open and it was at the back of the hall.

The kids crouched down and quietly crawled towards the door, they peaked inside and saw The Janitor, the original one, in a workshop making dolls. There was one window and it was located on the other side of the room. And it was wide open, no window screen/net or anything. Completely open, anyone could just in or out.

There was a dirty and dusty brown wooden table under the window, right beside it was a slightly darker wooden chair.

There was also many pieces of cloth sitting around the room in various places. Six knew exactly what to do.

Six pointed to the window and then pointed to the cloth. They all easily got the message. They quietly snuck through the workshop, jumping to and walking on the cloth.

On the last cloth they had to make a leap to the chair.

Six went first, she didn't make it. Hitting the chair seat in the stomach and sliding off, landing on her back with a thud. The others cringed at the noise Six was making.

The Janitor snapped their head towards the children, hissing.

Now was the time to go fast.

Wasting no time, the children scrambled onto the chair and climbed onto the table. They ran to the window and jumped out it when The Janitor tried to the snatch them.

-Mono POV-

I looked down, praying there was something under us.

A long drop down onto pavement, great. And it was also into another alleyway, we have a thing for alleys don't we?

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

I opened them, and with pain in my eyes time started slowing down for me and only me. However I wasn't slowed down.

This thing was just an illusion, I'm actually still in the same place I triggered this mode in. I just can look around now. It's very hard to describe, you just need to watch (read?) this play out.

I looked at my friends slowly falling,  Seven was the closest person to me. Besides Seven was Six. I watched their expressions slowly turn to fear. However I didn't look at them too long, watching them would be a huge waste of time.

Everything was in slow-mo (slow motion) except me, however I wasn't falling rapidly. I was falling slowly too like my friends, (well it was more like floating,) but I could move myself around as if I wasn't in slow motion though.

I looked around at my surroundings. Below us I spotted a dirty mattress, it had many stains on it from who-knows-what and some parts have been chewed off by probably the local stray demon dogs. The mattress was off to the side of the alley, we couldn't be able to land on it unless we were somehow pulled closer towards it.

I looked around more, everything else below us was just trash. I looked a bit, looking at the building that was slowly starting to be above us. There was some wires hanging from one of the windows that was soon going to be above us.  The wires were swinging in the air, the wire was going towards us. The wire was near the mattress, with a good swing we could easily reach the mattress.

I reached my hand out at the wire. Looks reachable.

I looked behind me, nothing of interest, I did one last quick look-around and then decided on a plan.

Grab Seven with my left hand, make Seven Grab Six's hand, then grab the wire with my free hand and have the wire pull us over the mattress and then boom, don't get crippling injuries.

I shooked my head and then was put back in present time, me being snapped back into the position I entered slow-motion with, the position everyone who wasn't in slow-motion saw me in.

-Third Person-

"Seven, grab Six!" Mono yelled as I grabbed Seven's right arm. Seven grabbed Six's hand with his other hand.

Mono reached out for the wire, he just barely caught it. Mono was slammed into the wall of the other building, chest first. The impact from the slam knocked all the air out of Mono and he did a short cry of pain from, well, the pain of the impact.

Once he was slammed into the wall he completely lost his grip on the wire, the three children fell.

But just by the magic of sheer luck, they landed right on the edges of the mattress.

Seven and Six got up, however Mono didn't get up. He just lied there.

"Mono?!" Six said.

"You okay?" Seven shook him.

Mono quickly got up.

"Oh, yeah I'm fine- URGH." Mono said, freezing at the end.

"Mono?" Six said.

Mono stepped off the mattress and faced the ground, staring at the pavement.

Mono lifted his paper bag up a bit to spit out something.

Mono spat out blood, coughing out a bit of blood too.

Panting, Mono put his paperbag back on.

"Holy crap, Mono you just spat out and coughed out blood!" Six said, very concerned.

"I'm fine, it's nothing." Mono said.

" It's nothing?! If you got a wound and was bleeding, maybe, but that came out of your mouth. You threw and coughed that up. THERE IS SOMETHING INTERNAL WRONG WITH YOU." Seven said.

"It's nothing, Seven. I just threw up some blood from the impact of hitting the wall, I'll be fine." Mono said. "And if you really think something is wrong with me and you truly want to try to treat me for something I don't have then maybe we should travel towards a hospital and steal some stuff from it to try and heal me. I'm sure there's one in this town."

"Yes actually! I passed by a hospital in this place and I remember where it is. I believe it's called Showdown Hospital. I am taking you there, no buts about it." Seven said, "To get there we must get through a school though, there's probably better ways to reach the hospital but the only way I know how to get there is through a school."

"Then let's go, Seven you lead the way of course." Six said.

Then, the children went off on their journey to the hospital.

Mono knew exactly what was wrong with him and why he threw up blood, it wasn't only because of the impact of the wall but something else.

But why would he tell them? It'll only make things harder for him.

If he told them, they would R̷͔̗̈U̷̠̦̿̉I̷̛̝Ǹ̶͚͓  his life.

But Mono wasn't afraid of going to the hospital, he was more than confident that Six and Seven wouldn't be able to figure out what was actually wrong with him. Even with Seven having some medical knowledge, he knew the medical skill Seven has wouldn't be enough to correctly diagnose him.

"Wait!" Six said, running back.

"What is it?" Mono asked.

Six went into the shadows, she came back out with her food bag. "Woops, can't forget this." Six said. "Thing got thrown over here when we jumped out the window and did all that stuff."

"Was the food on the ground?!" Seven asked.

"Yeah, but 5 second rule." Six said.

"It's been more than 5 seconds since you picked it up!"  Seven said.

"3 minute rule." Six said.

"Oh my god- let's just go." Seven said.
