We woke up late the next morning to here loud bustling.
"W-what's going on?" I asked. Natsu got up and looked out the window, then a quiet gasp came from his mouth.
"What is it I asked?" Walking up the the window to have a look myself.

"It's the other tribes. They're here."

"The other tribes!?" I exclaimed. "What!? Why?"
"Remember I told you that the tribes battled it out for dominance once a year?" Natsu began. "Well, today's the day."
"Oh god." I sighed.
"That's not the worst part." He added.
"What?"

"I have to take part."

(Still Lucy's POV)

Everyone had gathered in the big arena, including all the other tribes, and we were the biggest tribe by far. I heard from some gossiping women that each tribe had to pick three people from their tribe to represent that tribe, and that there's a rule in our tribe that the three newest, strongest hunters had to take part.

I'm guessing that's Gajeel, Gray and Natsu. I hope they'll be okay. I bet you're wondering how I know this, long story short there was a competition ages ago and those three won. I'm too tired today, I was abruptly woken by tribes bustling into our territory.

I also noticed that some people had names written on clothes they were wearing. Natsu was wearing one that said:

『ナツ・ドラグニル』

Which is his name, so I'm guessing it's because he's taking part. It's written in our ancient language, which also happens to be every tribes ancient language. I saw lots of different names, like:

『結城・明日奈』Which means 'Asuna Yuuki'

『ミカサ・アッカーマン』 Which means 'Mikasa Ackerman'

『霧嶋・董香』Which means
'Touka Kirishima'

All three of which looked very strong, and are all girls. Girls. How come other tribes are allowed to have representatives who are female!? I swear, someone needs to have a word with our tribe leader.

You know what, I bet the reason we've never won is because we're not using our tribe's full potential. Think about it, Erza and Mira are very powerful fighters, and the fact that the newest hunters have to fight is stupid. The hunters that are the least trained and who are very inexperienced are being told to win. Like that's gonna happen.

A woman from our tribe went over to a big board and began to scratch on it with a stone. She wasn't randomly scratching though, she was carving names.

That's our tribe! The Fairy Tail Tribe! And as I suspected, the three representatives are Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster & Gajeel Redfox.

That's the Titan Tribe, and their three representatives are Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman & Armin Arlert.

The Iwatobi Tribe, and its three representatives: Haruka Nanase, Makoto Tachibana & Nagisa Hazuki. Looks like they have the same rules as our tribe.

永近・英良 (ヒデ)

That's The Ghoul Tribe. That sounds terrifying. Ken Kaneki, Touka Kirishima & Hideyoshi Nagachika (Hide) are their representatives.

藤岡・ハルヒ
鳳・鏡夜

That tribe is called The Host Tribe. It's three representatives are Tamaki Suoh, Haruhi Fujioka & Kyoya Ootori.

木の葉部族
うずまき・ナルト
春野・サクラ
うちは・サスケ

Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno & Sasuke Uchiha are the three representatives from The Konoha Tribe.

アルフヘイム部族
結城・明日奈 (アスナ)
桐ヶ谷・和人 (キリト)
朝田・詩乃 (シノン)

Those three are from the Alfheim tribe, and their names are Asuna Yuuki (Asuna), Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito) & Shino Asada (Sinon). Cool, they've all got nicknames.

天野・雪輝
秋瀬・或

And finally, The Future Tribe. Ooh, sounds mystical. Its three representatives are Yuno Gasai, Yukiteru Amano & Akise Aru.

"Ladies and.... men." A strange man spoke with a very prominent butt chin. OH! I know him! He's in our tribe, oops....
"My name is *sniff sniff* Ichiya, and I loooove your parfum!" He exclaimed. Yay, another weirdo, it's not like we have enough or anything.

"I'd like to introduce you all to our annual battle, and I hope today will be a clean fight, with a great, powerful winner."

I watched as the battlers took their places from the spectators seats, but since I 'belonged to Natsu' I got to sit at the front next to Levy and Juvia, who were to interested in their boyfriends to even say hi.

"Now, let the battle commence!"
