PERCY'S POV

Percy was going to strangle Nico for feeling up Annabeth. Of course, he already knew Nico had a crush on his girlfriend, but going so far as to get on top of her?

That was going too far.

Their punishment was another thing nagging at Percy's mind. An entire school year writing to di Angelo? As though school wasn't rough enough!

And of course Percy was dyslexic as well as ADHD. Yeah, writing letters to his new sworn enemy was soooo much fun.

Still, a small part of him believed Nico's story. It would explain why Nico's hair was covered in leaves when he found him and Annabeth.

Frustrated, Percy shook all thoughts of "the incident" from his ADHD raddled brain.

He may as well go see Annabeth. Maybe he would even get her side of the story.

Suddenly giddy, Percy ran off in hunt of his girlfriend.

Percy found her in the Pegasus stables stroking Blackjack. Percy smiled to himself. He could never get Annabeth to admit that she liked Blackjack.

"Oh guys come on, get a room!" Annabeth jumped at the sound of Percy's voice. She spun around and laughed awkwardly.

"I haven't seen him in awhile. I thought it'd be nice to catch up," Annabeth replied.

"With a horse?" Percy mused. Blackjack snorted.

"Okay, okay! Pegasus, geez," Percy grumbled, patting his Pegasus on the head.

He and Annabeth chatted for awhile about camp and all the latest gossip. Apparently, Travis had gotten up the nerve to ask Katie out. The whole camp was shipping Tratie (Travis x Katie) now.

Finally, Percy got up the nerve to ask the question he'd been waiting to ask all day.

"Hey Annabeth, earlier when I, er, found you and Nico, was it really just an accident?" Percy asked awkwardly

Annabeth pondered this, her stormy gray eyes narrowed as she got lost in thought.

"I would say so," Annabeth murmured after a moment. "It was hard to tell. I was walking in the forest then next thing I know he was on me. But he scrambled up the second he realized where he was."

Percy remembered the scene like a missing puzzle piece had wormed it's way into his brain.

Percy had been searching for Annabeth when he heard a terrified yelp nearby. It sounded just like Annabeth!

When he found them two seconds later, Nico was scrambling to his feet, apologizing over and over again. Percy glares daggers at him.

"How dare you screw with my girlfriend?!?" Percy demanded. Nico had shrunk, looking terrified.

"B-but I didn't! It was an accident, I swear!" Nico wailed.

Percy then dragged him to camp and screamed at him until Chiron had shown up.

Percy smiled at Annabeth. Suddenly, the dinner bell rang.

Percy and his girlfriend walked to dinner again. When it came time to part ways, Annabeth turned to face Percy.

"Bye, see you later," Annabeth said, a small smile rising on her lips. Percy kissed her swiftly.

"Yeah, see you later," Percy echoed. He watched her leave then went to go get dinner. Which by the way was enchiladas. Grover would be a happy satyr, that was for sure.

NICO POV

Nico halfheartedly grabbed his plate of enchiladas and made his way over to his table. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Grover wolfing down enchilada after enchilada. The sight was almost enough to make Nico smile.

Almost.

The fight with Percy still pried at his mind. Did Percy really not trust him? Nico wanted more than anything to make up with his friend. Not being friends with Percy... Well the thought was unbearable.

Sure, Nico pushed him away a lot, but that was because he was battling his feelings.

Momentarily, Nico remembered the confrontation with Cupid. After he'd left, Nico had told Jason how he felt.

"I-I used to have a crush on him. I don't feel that way anymore," Nico lied. Even hearing those words come out of his own mouth made the tears start to flow.

Nico picked at his meal, pushing little scraps of enchilada around his plate. It was hard to be hungry when the person he cared about most was so far away.

Hey people! I tried to make this chapter longer for you guys :). This was still pretty much a filler chapter.

Next chapter the main story will begin.
