Chapter 2
Dear, Future Lover
When we're together, I want to travel to exotic places. Maybe we'll visit France or the Caribbean. One day.

The next day at lunch, Jordan was talking to me about one of his favorite shows. I was too busy thinking of that girl to listen.
"So then Gem was about to leave but last minute Ste- Lucy! Are you even listening to me?" I blinked.
"Yeah of course I was." He rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
"What's up with you? All day you've been like this really happy zombie." He sticks out his arms and starts moaning and swaying. We both laugh and he slaps me on the arm.
"But seriously though, what's going on? Are you in love?" At the last part, he wiggles his eyebrows at me seductively.
"No, I'm not. Its just that, I don't know what it is really. I just have feelings and I don't know how to feel about these feelings because feelings are weird that way." I look at him and he's staring at me with his mischievous grin.
"Lucy, my dear, you are in love. Flaming hot, passionate love. Now, who's the guy who's stolen your heart." I sigh.
"Jordan, there is no guy" he looks at me, confused, "it's a girl that I like." His eyes widen and he stifles a scream.
"OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD! Who is it?" He asks me eagerly. I shrug.
"I don't know her name. I just bumped into her yesterday morning." Jordan smiles so wide, the corners of his mouth reach his hair. No joke.
"It just keeps getting better. Love at first sight. This is just like Cinderella. Now you have to find your princess. Did she happen to leave a shoe behind?"
I was sitting in biology class, trying to not be put to sleep by Mr. Brakets lesson about photosynthesis. I was doodling in my notebook when the door opened and I heard a familiar voice.
"Sorry I'm late. I'm still learning where everything is." I looked up to see her. So she's new here, and in my bio class. I couldn't get any luckier.
"It's alright Julie, just take a seat anywhere in the room." She smiled and walked down the row and sat down next to me. I stared at her as she unpacked. Her hair made a halo around her face and her fingers were long and nimble. I imagined them brushing my hair out of my face and caressing my cheek. Her lips looked really soft and plump. I was so caught up looking at her and trying to memorize every feature of her face, I didn't hear Mr. Braket calling my name. She looked over at me and I turned around, heat creeping into my face.
Later that night, I lay in my bed and stared up at my ceiling. I closed my eyes and imagined her face. Her deep eyes were so easy to get lost in. I had finally fallen in love but why didn't it feel the way I had imagined. I had never felt this way towards a girl before. What if this isn't love? Why am I thinking about this? I shook my head and crawled under the covers. I fell asleep to the sound of her voice.
For the first time since I was little, I woke up excited to go to school. I put on my best outfit and even put on some makeup. I had never been really girly but I wasn't much of a tomboy either. I got to school and spent the day waiting for 6th period when I would get to see Julie in biology. At lunch I looked around to see of she had the same lunch as me. I was looking around when my eyes landed on a boy with long black hair that reached his chin. He was tall and muscular and looked like a football player. He was incredibly handsome and I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I chided myself and turned my attention to my food. What was wrong with me? Why was I feeling this way towards two people?
