"I think we can all agree that what Chuan Juntasa was doing, is unacceptable for anyone who calls themselves a Mafia Leader." Du Bongju explains. All the Mafia leaders nod in agreement. "Though you all apparently had a vote, that doesn't mean that it was okay to do that. Now see where he is now."
Du Bongju was a very calm man, he was one of the more controlled Mafia Leaders of the bunch. He didn't allow drug smuggling or prostitution in his country, he values all that was supposed to be good for his people.
He too was once an heir for the chair after his father passed away, his son was supposed to be the heir.. but years back an incident happened and it caused him to kill his own son.
Though Du Bongju doesn't agree to a lot of the things that the other Mafia Leaders do, he comes to big meetings because he still wants to be a good example for the other men at the table. Chuan Juntasa has tainted all the other men, intoxicating them in the life of drugs and illegal sex trades.
None of the countries used to be like this, but once he took over Thailand.. it all went down hill.
Du Bongju wasn't going to lie, in the end he hoped that Chuan Juntasa would stop being the leader for Thailand. Thailand was once the most functional counties, it almost functioned better than South Korea. Krit Lohla was supposed to still be the rightful ruler of Thailand, then the power would have been passed onto the heir, his granddaughter Lalisa.
"We must change our ways and set examples for our people, we are supposed to protect our people not kill and rape them. We have to throw away all the bad that we were taught and learn new good." Du Bongju sits up straight and looks at all the men that sat at the long table. "We've got to get our priorities straight, we make a change right now." Bongju taps the table with his big index finger.
"What are we going to do about the girl? She clearly can't rule a country! She's a woman." Bongju raises an eyebrow to the man who has spoken, and it seems that a lot of the other men agree with him. How little minded these men are. "So what if she's a woman, and?" Bongju asks. All the men seem stunned. "See, what Chuan had taught you guys was, only men are superior. Which is complete and utter crap."
Bongju waves a finger in the air and chuckles, "From what I've experienced is that, women are actually much stronger and better leaders than most men." He nods, all the other men are still stunned. "Take my wife for example, she's the mother of my daughter who is the heir once I'm gone. My wife is successful and doesn't stand for anyone's shit, I'd assure you that if she were here right now she'd make a bigger statement than I ever could."
"I strongly believe that if Lalisa Manoban is anything like her grandfather Krit Lohla, Thailand is one lucky country because I know she has a good heart. And much better judgment than any man in this room." More men seem to be sold on Bongju's catch. "Then, What will happen if she doesn't want the position?" Another man asks.
"How do you guys propose that we take care of this situation?" Bongju allows the opportunity for the other men to give their ideas. "Someone from the current group should take the chair, preferably someone who's been there longer than the other men. Or just simply pick a man that best suits the new regulations." Bongju nods slowly. "With all due respect, these have always been the regulations. Chuan and the rest of you have just made your own rules."
"And if the girl wants to take her rightful spot?" Bongju asks them. "The eldest Thailand member can teach her the right way to run a respected Mafia." Bongju smiles to the response he's given. "Then I think we have a great thing going here, I hope you can all keep your word. We will discuss what you all will do with the drugs." Everyone nods in agreement, "Some way to discard of them.." Bongju whispers as he rubs his chin.
All the leaders were able to agree on the plan for getting rid of the drugs. It was a very productive meeting, all the leaders were able to talk out their differences, concerns and ideas. At the end of the day, it was all counting on the choice of Lalisa Manoban. Bongju had decided himself to keep the secret of her being in Korea as no one else knows.
Could Lalisa really run a Mafia from the ground up? Could all the people of Thailand feel safe again? Are all the Mafia leaders going to keep their oath and change their ways as Bongju would like everyone to?
It could all change with one decision, a simple yes or no. And still it all stirred up in Bongju's head, this can change how the Asian Mafias grow together. There will no longer be a gap between allies or just a simple drug provider. This is the change in times, the time where people don't have to be scared and they can feel protected. The way they should feel, to be out of the shadows and living on ends meet.
No one will be selfish, and no one will harm. All this brought a smile to Bongju's face, who would have thought that the sky could be bright again. The name of Mafia will no longer be tainted with the ugly reputation that the wrong people have made it to be.
In no time all the men left to their rightful escort car, left on their private jets back to their countries. Bongju sits in the empty large meeting room. "Appa?" He hears his daughter ask. He stands up and smiles, "Yes?" He asks, "Did the meeting go well?" She asks, her large eyes filled with excitement and wonder. Bongju stares at his daughter, a smile on his lips.
"It went well." She smiles to his words, he then sets his hands on her shoulders, "Baby, I hope that soon.. a very important person will make a very important decision.", "Oh? And who is that?" She questions. "Lalisa Manoban." He lifts a hand to smoothen her hair. The girl gasps, "The girl that is supposed to rule Thailand!?" She asks.
The cheeky girl makes the smile grow on Bongju's face, "Yes.", "So this is all up to her?" Bongju nods. "Wow, that would be so awesome if she was the first woman to run a Mafia.", "Yes, it would."
