(Quick note: While Battle of Gods is fine on its own, I'm only gonna change a couple of things

1. Goku's God Form does not absorb into his base

2. Tien still has his enormous mountain breaking muscles

3. There is no "shockwaves threatening to destroy the universe")

After the Battle of Gods movie single handedly brought back the hype of Dragon Ball, thousands of fans were extremely excited to see that another movie would be coming soon. Many theories had come along about what the plot would be, one even stating that Goku would go evil. That would all be answered when the movie was released...and it was pretty bad.

     Instead of a brand new villain, it was Frieza, a character who shined the most during the Namek saga, nearly two decades ago. While it was visually pleasing, the story was far from good. Most of the characters were unimportant in the end, Frieza got the most BS power boost in history, Super Saiyan God was immediately forgotten about for Blue, the heroes won by a Deus Ex Machina, and probably the worst part was Vegeta's stolen glory. However most of this was completely ignored due to "hype." Since we've grown up a bit and looked at the mistakes, let's fix it.

Our story begins one week after the Battle of Gods. Goku had been spending the entire time trying to concentrate and use the new God form. No matter what, he couldn't bring out the full extent of this power he's been gifted. That was until Whis and Beerus returned to earth. While it was tense, it turns out Beerus only came back to get more of that delicious pudding Buu denied him. With their arrival, Goku spots an opportunity. He remembers Beerus telling him that Whis was his teacher, so he requested that Whis teaches him to learn about this god form. While Whis is a bit hesitant, Beerus laughs it off, saying he wouldn't mind if he lost some sleeping hours to see a potential sparing partner become stronger. Before anything else, Vegeta steps up and requests to come as well. Not only to gain this new power, but to also be more prepared if threats as strong as Beerus ever arrives to earth. To Beerus's delight, Whis complies and after gathering some supplies, Goku and Vegeta are taken to Beerus's planet.

     A few hours would pass after their departure would the Z Fighters notice something strange. The clouds had darkened as if someone was summoning Shenron. Gohan and Piccolo flew as fast as possible, but as soon as they got there the clouds had lightened up, with the golden streaks of the Dragon Balls flying for miles around. Despite looking around, Gohan and Piccolo couldn't find anything to find out who was the man who summoned the eternal dragon.

     A year would pass with a time-skip showing the Z Fighters in their daily activities. Goku and Vegeta would be seen training with the gods to master their god forms. Despite its easy way of obtaining, the God forms turned out to be very hard to master and control under heightened states of stress. A few comedic moments would show Beerus training with them, one of his challenges being to get a piece of bread away from him. The God would toy with them easily and end up making them fly into each other, to which Whis would remark that their teamwork was horrendous. "The greatest of battles can be won easily with coordination of forces." Whis explained.

    Back on Earth, the Z Fighters would be doing their normal lives, but also taking the time to train. The way Beerus easily dispatched all of them showed that if Goku or Vegeta wasn't around they could all be defeated with ease. Whenever Gohan got off from his job, he would spend the evening training with Piccolo. Same with Krillin, sparing with Tien and even Yamcha surprisingly. Android 18 would occasionally spar with her husband, much to the glee of Master Roshi who would coach the human fighters. Which ended with a bloody nose by 18. Goten and Trunks would grow up, facing each other in secret even though they had school to attend.

One day Bulma receives a very strange guest to her home. A small grey alien that goes by the name of Jaco. The alien would hurriedly exclaim that Frieza has arrived, and is currently heading towards Earth! Bulma would laugh him off, until Jaco shows pictures of a fleet of spaceships similar to Frieza's was heading towards Earth. Bulma then would begin to freak out, quickly calling the other Z Fighters.

     An hour would pass and the group of warriors would be ready. Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Goten, and Trunks. On cue, several spaceships would slowly float down. The top door opening to reveal none other than Frieza in his base form. Everyone would be shocked at this, much to the emperors delight. Frieza snapped his fingers, unleashing a huge army of soldiers down on everyone.

     The battle began with the warriors facing them head on, easily taking out large portions of the army. Gohan would blast away with a Kamehameha, Piccolo surrounded a squadron with Hellzone Grenade, Krillin fired a separating beam like the Saibamen, Tien did his KIKOHO along with Yamcha's Sprit Ball. Even Roshi would knock out with his buff form. Goten and Trunks took the form of Gotenks, trapping and knocking out a group of henchmen with his Galactic Donuts.

     Within half an hour the force would be annihilated, with any survivors huddling up to defend themselves. An annoyed Frieza would suddenly blast them away, remarking how difficult it was to find proper soldiers nowadays. Frieza left his bubble chair and floated down, suddenly shooting at breakneck speeds and slamming his fist into Krillins chest, knocking him away. Everyone was shocked to say the least, Frieza had gotten stronger.

    The fighters began to attack Frieza at once, the Emperor laughing as he blew their blasts away by transforming into his second form. He easily dispatched Tien and Yamcha with a single tail whip, soon turning to his third form and blasting the battlefield away in a swarm of death beams. With the fighters only being Gohan, Piccolo, and Gotenks now, they fired at different points. Gohan fought Frieza head on, backed up by Gotenks, as Piccolo readied a Special Beam Cannon. Frieza remarks on how strong Gohan had gotten, seeing his making him block and feel his punches. Gohan and Gotenks quickly fired a Kamehameha and Big Tree Cannon fusion attack before backing out of the way. Piccolo fired his signature attack, the smoke completely covering the battlefield.

    All the fighters waited with baited breaths. The smoke disappeared, there stood Frieza in his final form not even injured. Without saying a word he blasted Gohan in the chest, slamming his foot into Piccolo's back, before splitting Gotenks with a horrific punch to the neck. Goten fell but Frieza caught the unconscious Trunks by the neck. Hate seeped from his eyes as he remembered his humiliating defeat at the older version of this brat. His eyes glowed a violet color, intending to end Trunks before a ki blast made him let go. Frieza turned in anger before his rage flared at the sight of Goku and Vegeta, holding his unconscious son as his palm was smoking from the powerful blast.

Frieza remarks on seeing how much Goku and Vegeta had grown, reminding him of old men. Vegeta sets Trunks down with the others as Goku steps forward, claiming they aren't here for talk. Frieza sets down on the ground and chuckles to himself, before powering up. Goku is honestly surprised at how Frieza was able to grow so strong, multiple thoughts going through his mind of how he even came back to life. He took a stance, deciding he'll find out later. The two stared at each other, moments of silence passing before both slammed their fists into each other, the ground below cracking from the force.

The Saiyan and alien take to the skies, shockwaves appearing across the dark horizon as they continued battering against each other. Vegeta kept a close eye as the others were given Senzu Beans to heal themselves. Gohan remarks in confusion of how Freiza was able to get so strong before it hit him. One year ago, when Shenron was used, that must've been what happened! The real question was who brought him back?

Goku roared as he fired a beam at Frieza, who dodged and sent a barrage of death beams towards the Saiyan. Goku brought up a barrier to block, but Frieza slammed through, wrapping his tail around his neck and flying into the ocean. Moments would pass before the water explodes in a golden light. Goku flew up in his Super Saiyan form, Frieza flying after. Goku suddenly put his fingers to his head, disappearing and reappearing behind Frieza to fire a Kamehameha. Only for Frieza to turn around and quickly go 100%, slamming through the beam and splitting it as he shot him and Goku down onto an island.

Both fighters jumped away from the smoke, Goku powering down from Super Saiyan as Frieza turned his body back to normal. Only one thought went through Goku's mind, how did Frieza expect that attack? Wondering about what other tricks Frieza has, Goku decides to finish this. He tells the tyrant about this form of his not being his strongest anymore. Frieza states that he knows full well, much to Goku's confusion. A red aura begins to cover the Saiyan, the fighters in the back happy to see the familiar form. But then...

A purple beam shoots forward, blasting Goku through the chest and piercing his lung. Everyone looks in shock as Goku coughed up blood. The Saiyan suddenly was enveloped by multiple purple beams that pierced his body before he dropped down. Goten stares in horror before calling out to his father....

"Oh I'm sorry, was I interrupting something?" A new voice makes Vegeta turn, his eyes widening at the newcomer. A man they've never seen before....

"It's about time you made your presence known brother." Frieza remarked. This shocked everyone. This was Cooler, Frieza's brother. The two brothers stood side by side, with Cooler being slightly taller than his sibling. He kicked the unmoving Goku across, Tien flying up and grabbing his body. His eyes widen as he felt blood leak onto his arms. "He's alive!" Tien called out. He quickly flew up as Vegeta stepped forth. He demanded that they explained themselves.

Frieza chuckled, remarking about how Vegeta was still a foolish monkey. Frieza begins to explain that one year ago, Coolers men had stolen the Dragon Balls and revived him. Frieza was shocked at first, but Cooler quickly told him. He's been planning their revenge for years ever since he and Cold had been killed by Future Trunks. He had been training while his scouts had been watching and keeping tabs on the Z Fighters ever since Cell was defeated. The only reason he revived Frieza is because he knew he couldn't defeat Goku with that new God form. So the two trained nonstop for an entire year, each day being nothing but near death training exercises. Also...a small secret that only Cooler learned when he discovered old family documents.

Vegeta tells them to be quiet, his body adorned in red aura before transforming into his new form. Super Saiyan God!

Frieza and Cooler were shocked. They knew of Goku's form, but Vegeta was new to them. Vegeta says that he learned this from training with the God of Destruction Beerus. Speaking of the god, him and Whis were staring at the battle through his staff. Both were eager to see how far their students had come.

But suddenly, Frieza and Cooler began to smirk before a shockwave of power blasted the area. Their bodies began to bulk up as their power rose, soon transforming into a form that no one had seen for a very long time....

     While Vegeta was shocked, he concentrated. He felt the duos ki, individually he could take them on but having them fight at the same time was going to be trouble. Cooler was the first to rush, meeting Vegeta in a combo of punches and kicks as Frieza provided supporting fire. Vegeta's godly form managed to create a barrier to block off the attack, but left him vulnerable as Cooler slammed through, sticking his fist into his chest and dragging him down an underwater trench. He flew back up, both Frieza and Cooler firing a ki blast underwater and blowing up the trench. Vegeta rushed back into the air, his battle gear already cracked as he fired ki blasts into them, blinding their vision. This allowed him to get a few close punches and kicks on Frieza, but Cooler grabbed him by the tail, slamming him into the ground where Frieza pounded his fists into his chest.

      This fight would continue like this. Whenever Vegeta got a hit in he would be hit with double the punishment. His wounds would begin to be more severe, his back cut from a blade blast, his chest and stomach getting bruised, and many more. All the while Frieza and Cooler would taunt him, telling him what a failure of a Saiyan he was. This caused Vegeta's anger to spike, making him lose focus and allowing the brothers to hold him still with Coolers tail. Frieza began to beat on his back, reenacting that brutal fight in Namek.

     Vegeta's vision began to get blurry, his body nearly going limp until he heard something....

     Trunks was calling for him, his son had tears pouring down his face as he watched his father be brutally beaten. Vegeta suddenly growled before exploding in a flash of ki. Both Frieza and Cooler backed off, Vegeta now standing with a determined glare on his face. Frieza angrily sent out a death beam, to which Vegeta dodged and ended up hitting Cooler in the shoulder. Cooler angrily remarked at Frieza, allowing Vegeta to punch him into the air. Cooler quickly fired a barrage of blasts, to which Vegeta used a new technique he and Goku had been practicing. God Bind. The blasts were concealed in red ki, where Vegeta turned their trajectory towards Frieza, who took the full force of the attack.

     Vegeta's strategy was clear. Using the brothers own attacks against them, causing their teamwork to fall apart the more the battle went on. Soon enough, a bloodied Frieza angrily turned to Cooler, proclaiming how he's the reason they're losing. Both brothers completely lost their coordination, making Vegeta grin as he shot forward. With a god ki infused punch, Vegeta slammed his fist into Frieza, punching through his stomach and making him fall to the ground.

    "I don't need that fool!" Cooler yelled angrily as he swung wildly and angrily at Vegeta, who dodged with a glare on his face. Cooler coated his body in ki and shot forward, only for Vegeta to contain him in a God Bind. "Let me return the favor." Vegeta said as he began to brutally beat Cooler, the brother unable to move and forced to take it. Soon Vegeta threw him down, the Frost Demon unable to even stand up. "Next time focus on your teamwork." Vegeta said before blasting Cooler away, his body turning to ash.

    The ex prince turned to Frieza and flew down. Frieza held his open wound in pain, looking up to Vegeta in hate. "I won't die here again...I'll kill you all!" Frieza raised his hand, intending to shove a ki ball into the earth. Suddenly blood spewed on his face as a Destructo Disk chopped his arm off. Vegeta looked and saw an angry Krillin with his arm held forward. Vegeta gave him a grateful nod before holding his hand up. Frieza glared. "Go ahead, avenge your pitiful race..." "I'm not doing this for vengeance Frieza." The words shocked the emperor. "You nearly killed my son and destroyed the earth, I am no longer fighting for my home world, this is my home!" Vegeta proclaimed before blowing Frieza away with a blast, hopefully finally ending the tyrant.

     As the man fell back from exhaustion, Piccolo rushed forward and brought him back to the group. Goku had been healed slowly due to their lack of Senzu Beans, the Saiyan fighter looking at Vegeta with a smile and a thumbs up. Vegeta stared at him for a moment before smirking, giving him his own thumbs up.

    Just then a ship that Frieza's army used started to take off, only to be destroyed by Piccolo. In the cloud of smog, they never saw the smaller 3 escape vessels flying away to space.

     The story would end with Vegeta and Goku enjoying their days with their families, until Whis and Beerus arrive. Beerus proclaims how proud he is, especially in Vegeta. Goku he tells he needs to always be prepared for any hidden fighters, making Goku sweat drop as he knew he was right. Suddenly both godly figures noticed a big bowl of ice cream. Beerus rushes forth to grab it, only to find it's gone with Whis already digging into it, causing the group to laugh until Beerus glared at them.

(Epilogue)

     A figure would be seen walking across a garden, humming a small tune as she sat down next to a rather pudgy cat, adorning the same outfit Beerus held. "Lord Champa, have you heard the news?" The Angel asks. Champa shook his head. "Your brother has woken up again, shall we give him a visit?" She asked him. Champa opened his eyes and gave a smirk. "Time to see what big bros been up to..."
