Rahul and his family had to leave for the station.
"Aunty, hum aapko chod kar aayenge... akele kyon jayenge aap log?" Sameer said when Rahul's mom said that they would go on their own.
"Beta, hum sab ek saath hain... humein koi dikkat nahi hogi... tum apni mummy ko airport chod do... woh akeli hain." Rahul's mom suggested.
"Haan Sameer... main hun na... tu hamari tension mat le... tu aur Naina Vishakha aunty ke saath jao." Rahul assured him too.
Munna had to go home as his father had called him for something urgent... even Pandit was to leave for Jamnagar straightaway.
Finally, it was decided that Sameer and Naina would take Vishakha and others would go to the station in two cars.
Naina hugged Rahul's mom, "Thank you, aunty... aap sab ke aane se hamari khushi aur bhi badh gayi."
"Sameer beta hai mera... kaise nahi aati uski khushi mein shaamil hone... aur aage bhi aaungi... jab bhi tum khushkhabri doge." She pinched Naina's cheek.
"Toh aap taiyar rahiye... do mahine baad fir se aane ke liye... Naina aapko pakka khushkhabri degi." Sameer said excitedly.
As all elders widened their eyes, Rahul tugged at Sameer's arm, sure that he hadn't understood the meaning... and Naina fisted her hands to control herself from covering her face... which had turned completely red.
"Toh do mahine mein superfast khushkhabri kaise de sakte hain aap?" Bhabhi raised her brows, suppressing a smirk.
"Superfast kahan bhabhi... itna lamba intezar hai... do mahine baad jaake final year ka result aayega... aur Naina hamesha ke jaise hi top karegi... ab isse badi khushkhabri aur kya hogi?" Sameer gave a pleasant smile, not understanding why everyone was giving him such looks.
Rahul's mother looked at Vishakha, and both burst into laughter, others joining them... as Naina stood mortified, with her eyes lowered.
"Hamesha aise hi rehna... bholuram." Bhabhi pinched his cheeks, before getting into the car.
Sameer was still confused when everyone said their goodbyes and left, laughing and teasing him.
"Naina, tum top karogi ismein itna chedne wali kya baat hai... sab log aise hans kyon rahe the?" He looked at Naina, perplexed.
"Tum chup nahi ho sakte kya?" Naina chided him in low voice.
"Mummy, yeh bhi mujhe gussa kar rahi hai... aap batao na... sab logon ko kya hua?" He looked at his mother.
Vishakha was not sure what she loved more... his innocence or his trust on her to give him an answer to his confusion...
"Kuch nahi hua... sab khush hain tumhari khushi mein... main bhi hun... ab chalo... warna der ho jayegi." Vishakha patted his cheek, opening the back door of the car.
"Mummy, aap aage baithiye na." Naina quickly came next to her.
"Nahi beta, Sameer ke saath tum baitho... main yahin baithungi." She smiled gently at Naina.
They waved back at Naina's family in the balcony, and started for the airport.
It was a teary farewell this time... for both Sameer and Viashakha... and Naina felt her eyes well up too.
"Aap aayengi na fir se?" He asked in a heavy voice.
"Aaungi beta... ab baar baar aaungi... woh bhi akele... kyonki tum mere bete ho... iss baat ko dubara nahi bhoolungi." She said in a choked voice.
A few tears spilled from Sameer's eyes.
"Aur tum bhi mat bhoolna... mujhe hamesha mummy hi kehna." She wiped his cheeks, her own getting wet with her tears.
"Mummy." He said... and hugged her.
"Naina, idhar aao beta." Vishakha called out to her a little later.
"Jee mummy." Her eyes were red.
"Mere iss buddhu bete ka dhyan rakhna... aur isko bohot, bohot pyar dena... waise mujhe pata hai mujhe yeh sab kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai... tumhare bohot saare pyar ne hi mere bete ki zindagi ko khushiyon se bhar diya hai... bas tum dono aise hi rehna... hamesha ek doosre ke saath." She cupped her face.
Naina nodded... not able to speak as she felt a lump in her throat... Sameer's unbridled happiness at getting his mother back was the biggest thing that could have happened to him.
After seeing her off, Sameer and Naina returned to the car.
"Main aaj pehli baar mummy ko chodne aaya hun." He looked back at the gates of the small airport.
"Abse hamesha aana... aur lene bhi... ab se hum dono ko unke aane ka intezar rahega." She placed one hand on his arm.
He took a deep breath... the destiny had taken a beautiful turn in his life... his angel had made all his wishes come true...
"Tum sach mein pari ho Naina, apni jaadu ki chadi se tumne mere saare andheron ko ujaalo mein badal diya." He placed his hand over hers.
She smiled back.
When they sat again in the car, Naina's seat belt seemed to be stuck.
"Sameer, yeh kya ho gaya dekho zara." She tried to pull it but it did not budge.
Sameer bent over her, realising that the belt was stuck in the door. He leaned more and opened the door, pulled the belt and closed it again.
"Ab theek hai?" He turned... and found his face right in front of hers.
Her brown eyes looked dark... with the kohl lining... and the proximity.
His breath got caught in his throat. His hand moved from the belt to her belly. The flimsy layer of saree was no help. The heat from her skin seared through his palm. His hand moved to her side, slowly going behind her... and he pressed it against her back, making her jerk ahead. Their noses touched... her breath fell on him, making him yearn for more.
"Naina..." He whispered... his lips brushing lightly against hers.
A loud honk close by brought them back to their surroundings.
Sameer straightened... breathing hard. He peered at Naina... her eyes were closed... her breathing as erratic as his.
He started the car.
When they reached home, Naina was surprised to see the main gate locked.
"Sameer, gate pe taala kyon hai? Ramdhari bhaiya kahan hain?" She had only once seen the door locked before, when he had brought her home from Swati's house... that too, the main door and not the gate.
"Maine usse kaha tha kaam khatam karke chala jaye... ab usse kal bulaya hai... woh bhi der se." Sameer unlocked the gate, and drove the car in.
"Tum yahin baithna." He said when she started to open the car door.
Naina creased her brow... what was he planning now?
He ran to the main door... that was out of her view.
She waited till he came back, a big smile on his face.
He opened the car door for her, and held out his hand. Naina placed her palm on it, and stepped out.
They walked together to the main door.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
The nameplate in front of the house read
Naina & Sameer Maheshwari
She stared at it... dumbfounded.
"Kaisa laga? Yeh hai tumhara ghar... hamara ghar..." Sameer said excitedly.
"Yeh... yeh kya... kyon... isme mera naam..." She was at loss of words.
"Jab maine ghar hum dono ka hai toh yahan naam bhi dono ka hi hoga na." He exclaimed.
"Lekin Sameer, naam toh hamesha pati ka hota hai." Her eyes were damp.
"Woh sab mujhe nahi pata... bas itna jaanta hun ki meri har cheez pe tumhara naam hoga... ghar pe, dil pe, chehre pe... " His voice started to turn hoarse.
She looked at him, mesmerized, as he picked her up... and entered the house, "Tumhara naam sab jagah chahiye mujhe, apne hothon pe, gaalon pe, gardan pe, kandhe pe, seene pe..."
"Bas Sameer." She hid her face in his chest.
"Ab main tumhari yeh baat nahi sununga... itne saal tumne kaha 'bas Sameer' aur maine bas kar diya... lekin ab nahi... ab sirf main aur tum... aur hamara pyar." He carried her in... walking to their room.
Naina looked up at him... his eyes held unabashed passion...
"Aaj jab tum aise mere saamne aayi toh sach keh raha hun, saans lena bhool gaya tha... ab zara batane toh do kis kis cheez ka kya kya asar hua hai." He said in a raspy voice as he closed the door behind him with his foot.
