The day passed by. At night, both Kartik and Naira weren't able to sleep. Kartik's thoughts revolved around Naira, and the time they were together in that store room, was running in his mind. He didn't know what he was feeling, but he couldn't stop thinking about her. Both of them being unable to sleep, came to the terrace.

As Kartik reached the terrace, he saw Naira standing at the edge of the terrace, as she looked above. It was quite cold all through the night.

Kartik ran towards her, holding her hand, he pulled her back, to which they both fell down, very close to each other. Naira looked at him, and they shared an eyelock.

"What were you doing at the edge of the terrace huh?" Kartik asked as Naira stood back.

"I was just standing! What do you think I was doing?" Naira folded her arms looking back at him

"If you would fall...." Kartik stopped speaking and looked away

"Kuch nahi hota mujhe, I was just standing." Naira said.

"Ho jaata toh?" Kartik questioned.

"Itni care? Woh bhi meri?" Naira raised her eyebrows turning back to him.

"Tumhari jagah koi bhi hota toh yehi karta main." Kartik covered up.

"You're not that bad also!" Naira said smiling slightly.

"Main bohot accha hu waise, woh tumne ab notice kiya hai." Kartik replied giving a proud look.

"Accha ji?"

"Haan ji, bilkul!" Kartik said. Both of them went and sat at one side of the terrace.

"Why are you here though?" Kartik asked

"I couldn't sleep, so I came here!" Naira replied.

"Waise do you have any girlfriend?" Naira asked looking at him

"Aur yeh question kyu pucha tumne?" Kartik questioned back

"Bas, aise hi, I just felt so." Naira shrugged her shoulders.

"Why did you feel so?"

"Kyuki, handsome dikhte ho, acche bhi ho, toh mujhe laga hogi koi." Naira chuckled.

"Apna chance dhund rahi ho?" Kartik asked smirking

"Excuse me!? I am not interested in you, notice bhi nahi kiya, chance dhundna durr ki baat hai!" Naira replied looking away

"Notice nahi kiya, aur phir bhi main handsome lagta hu tumhe?" Kartik asked, while Naira snapped her head towards him.

"I simply said that!" Naira covered up

"I really don't think so." He smiled. After a minute of silence, Kartik spoke,

"So....friends?" Kartik gestured his hand towards her, while she instantly looked back at him.

"Huh?" She gave a questioning look

"Friend hi pucha hai, girlfriend nahi, itna shock kyu ho rhi ho?" Kartik asked laughing.

"Nahi, kuch nahi!" She shook her hand with him.

"Ab dosti ki hai, toh nibhaani toh padegi." Kartik said with a friendly smile

"Hum sab rishte bohot acche se nibhaate hai!" Naira smiled back

"Sab?" Kartik continued.

"Haan bilkul! Waise kabhi socha nahi tha, meri bhabi ke bhai ke saath dosti karlungi." Naira said.

"Neither did I! We never know aage aur kya hoga." Kartik whispered

"Kya? Kuch kaha?" Naira looked back at him, and he nodded in a no.

Both of them came down, to go back to their rooms, but at the same time, Karan and Kritika walked out.

They looked ar Kartik and Naira in shock, while these both looked at each other.

"Tum dono jab bhi kahin gaayab hote ho, toh ek saath hi hote ho, humesha!" Karan said.

"Naira, do you want to tell something?" Kritika asked folding her arms

"Aisa kuch nahi hai, as you both are thinking, we weren't able to sleep, so coincidentally both of us met again."

"You sure, koi aur baat nahi hai?" Kritika raised her eyebrows, smiling at Naira.

"Arrey, sacchi! Aur kya ho sakta hai?" Naira defended

"We are just friends!" Kartik continued

"Sab aise hi bolte hai!" Karan replied laughing.

"Waise, jodi toh kaafi acchi hai tum dono ki." Kritika said smiling. And Kartik, Naira instantly shared glances.

"Chalo ab! We have to get ready for the party." Naira said and all of them went to their respective rooms.

"I don't think Kartik and Karan will come for the party today." Kritika said, and Naira instantly looked at her

"Why?" She asked back

"It's Kartik's birthday tomorrow, so Karan was telling that they will be going with his friends." Kritika said.

"Kartik's birthday? Tomorrow?" Naira asked

"Yes! Tum itni excited kyu ho rhi ho?" She teased her, while Naira nodded her head, murmuring, nothing.

"He didn't tell anything about it. I should wish him tonight then." Naira thought.

In the night, Naira and Kritika got all dressed up, and came down where the party was going to be held.

"Where is this Karan now?" Kartik looked all around, and in this his sight fell upon Naira, and unknowingly he smiled.

"Kartik!" Karan called and that's when he came out of his thoughts and looked back.

"Huh? Kya hua?"

"Everyone is waiting for us, we should go." Karan said. Kartik and Karan went out to celebrate his birthday.

"Kritika I will get my phone, I forgot it in my room." Naira said. All of them were partying there.

"Okay, come back soon." Kritika replied and she nodded and went inside.

While she was going towards her room, in the garden, she heard someone speak, and she turned to look back.

"Naira!" It was Kartik. Naira looked at him confused, as he was looking really weird.

"Kitni sundar lag rhi ho aaj." Kartik said in a childish voice.

"What is wrong with you Kartik? Why are you talking like this?" Naira asked, and looking at his condition, she could only feel one thing, and that was, that Kartik was drunk.

"Kartik are you drunk?" Naira asked slowly, alternatively looking around if someone was there.

"Naira mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai." Kartik said smiling, still not being able to stand properly, while Naira held his hand, and tried to help him.

"Kartik, we can talk later, let's go inside first." Naira insisted

"Nahi! Pehle meri baat suno please. I can't keep this with me anymore." Kartik said

"Kartik, tell me everything tomorrow, not now please. You are not in the right state right now. And where is Karan?" She kept looking around, while Kartik held her hand, and sat on his knee.

"Naira, I love you, I really love you so so so much!"
