Jesus is the way, the truth and the life

Day Fifteen

[ Main Scriptures: John 14:6]

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
  — John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus is the way. Even though there are many roads a person can take but only Jesus is the way to Heaven. Only Jesus is the way to the Father.

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:"
  — Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)

You'll discover that in the Bible, we are usually given choices. We get to choose whether or not to choose Jesus.

The bible says, "I set before you life and death." There are two options here. Either death or life. You'd think people choose life. We might say we have chosen life but its our actions that show who we are.

"Even a child is known by his deeds, Whether what he does is pure and right."
  — Prov 20:11 (NKJV)

People are known by what they do. Have you chosen Jesus as the way in your life? The bible says, "He is the way." He is the road that leads to the path of life.

The bible says also calls Jesus the truth. What is truth? Truth is the real thing. Truth is reality. Jesus is real and He really does lead to the Father. There is no truth without Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the life as well. Jesus shows us the way, He is true and He is the life. Jesus is many things. When we have Jesus, we have everything we will ever need.

The last thing Jesus does here is to bring close to the Father. The bible says, "No man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

It means, there is no chance of ever knowing God the Father without knowing God the Son. One cannot know Jesus, and not know the Father.

"Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?"
  — John 14:9 (NKJV)

He who has seen Jesus has seen the Father. Jesus is all we have. He is everything. Nothing exists without Him.

Prayer: Father we thank you. We bless your name. We acknowledge you. We glorify you. Be to us all you are meant to be. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
