Day Seventeen

[ Main Scripture : John 15:4-5]

John 15 (NKJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Jesus is the tree that produces the life of the believer. Without Him, we cannot do much.

For every tree that you see, the branches are strongly connected to the vine. Branches cannot live without the tree but the tree can live without the branches.

So Jesus says, "For without me, you can do nothing. What could we do without Jesus? Nothing! Our lives depend on Him.

Jesus is our nourisher. He is our sustainer. He is the reason we live.

 We cannot bear any fruit without Jesus. Have you ever seen a branch that produces fruit on it's own? Branches always have to be connected to the tree.

Jesus is the tree that we need to be connected to. Whatever is found in Jesus will be found in us, if we are connected to Him. Without that connection, we cannot meet benefit from the tree of Jesus.

Father, help us to stay strongly connected to your presence. Help us connect to the vine. Help us connect to your heart. Jesus lies at the center of your heart. Thank you. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray. Amen.
