Chapter three

Lavi's POV

**

It's barely 8:30am in the morning and the sun was already burning on the outside as I lay shirtless on my back with my arms folded under my head. I just needed to mute everything around me for a while in other to figure out what else I have to do to earn money.

Damn!

My life hasn't been the same since Katherine and I ran away from home. It's my responsibility to take care of her and our unborn child and right now; am in desperate need of money and I really don't care what source it's going to come from. All I know is that I need money and fast.

The last money we had was spend on dinner the previous night and it was barely enough.  Naijabet have dealt their usual blow on me again and making sure to crush whatever single hope I had left.

Naijabet is one of the quickest way to make money in the street and it has helped me quite a lot for the passed months now.

Win some! Loss some!

That's the spirit of not quitting!

Scratching my head in total frustration; I turned around on my stomach to face the only reason for my endless search for money.

Katherine has a wry little smile on her face as she stood staring at me with those bright little eyes of hers.

Christ!

I still can't believe she gave up everything for me.

Katherine is mine now and always will be and it doesn't matter what I have to go through just to make sure she doesn't loose her smile no matter how wry it might be because she means the whole world to me.

My breath of fresh air!

Sometimes; I wonder how she still manages to smile after everything she is enduring with me.

Katherine is worth every damn headache and backache I have to go through for her and with the way things are going; I might start taking up more than just one jobs in order to survive.

I'm already a commercial blood donor at the clinic and she isn't even aware of it and I plan on keeping it a secret from her. The last thing I need is having her break down because of worry for me.

I can't have that!

Nope!

Call me crazy but that's how far am willing to go to earn money for my family.

Katherine and our unborn baby is the only family I have now and I have to look after them.

"I think I emptied the last beverage last night" she muttered to herself as she turned at me again.

She is hungry!

"I'll get some later" I assured her with a smile and an empty pockets but with high hopes of getting it anyways.

"So what are we gonna have for breakfast this morning?" She asked still wiggling the empty can of beverage in her right hand with the other one resting lazily against her waist.

She was putting on a lose button up blouse that barely hid her stomach that was peeping from within.

She was six months gone already but she looks like she is about to give birth already.

I struggled to my feet and jumped at her which kind of startled her a bit.

"How about we have the both of you for breakfast hmm? I bet you will taste just delicious" smacking my lips in anticipation as I began to close in on her.

She backed off one foot at a time away from me with the can crashing to the floor as she held onto her belly with both hands.

She almost lost her foot against the wooden chair as she continued to back away.

Wrapping my hand firmly around her waist; I pulled her closer.

"Scared of me hmm?" With a mischievous grin on my face.

"You bet I am oh scary scary big bad savage guy"

"Really now?" My brow rose at her tone of voice. It looks like she is up for a challenge.

"So where will you like to start from hmm?" She countered back, pouting her lips at me in a really seductive way.

Damn!

She doesn't know it but I can most definitely eat those lips of hers for breakfast.

"How about we start from here?" Placing a kiss on her lips. Teasing and biting slightly.

"....and here" placing another along the croak of her neck and allowing my lip to linger there a little longer causing her to shutter a bit.

"....and?" Her voice was low and demanding. Throwing her head back and allowing me more access.

Shit!

I guess I have awaken something in her. Pregnancy hasn't changed her a bit .

Katherine was still sweet and fragile and super sensitive to my touch.

"And right here" placing the last kiss on her belly.

"I guess he wanted the last kiss for himself huh?" Sounding a bit disappointed.

Poking the tip of her nose, I pulled her into a hug.

"Point of correction princess! Our baby is going to be a girl and a pretty one at that okay?" Rubbing gently at her back.

"What makes you think that huh?"

"Well, this isn't just a thought but a fact cos this lady in here..." Rubbing at her belly....." Deserves all the kisses in the world"

"And what about mmmm..." Claiming her already parted lips just in time to shut her up before she could complete her  sentence.

I kissed her long and hard with every amount of hunger I could summon.

I'm a sucker for her kisses. Her soft and succulent lips is a sure charmer pulling me in with each taste of her lips.

I was absolutely hungry for her. Wait! What? Did I say hungry?

Oh shit

Katherine is hungry and I need to get breakfast as soon as possible and slowly, I pulled back from her with a final and gentle kiss to her fore head.

"I've to go get breakfast now princess"

"Okay lav but you have to hurry pleasssse....I'm starving" pouting at me.

Grabbing my shirt from the chair and placing another quick kiss on her stomach, I was out the door!!

Our two love birds are back and living the life of a runaway....
