Chapter 69 - Naked
"You have to get up eventually."
Kane groaned, shifting to the other side and shuffling for a second before laying comfortably on the pillow again. He heard a snort from Jasper and shortly after, he felt a weight beside him on the bed. Then, a hand plopped in front of his face and when he glanced to the side, Jasper's face hovered above him before a kiss was planted on his cheek. That only made him groan, "Ten minutes, please."
"We're already late for school," Jasper laughed, running his fingers gently across Kane's black strands and reaching past the hem of his shirt for his fingers to linger across Kane's chest for a second. "It's noon."
"What?" Kane instantly sat upwards and Jasper had to rapidly dodge backwards or else they would have knocked their foreheads together. He chuckled quietly when Kane placed his palm against the side of his head while his face squeezed into wrinkles. "I got up too fast..."
"I made you some coffee," Jasper shoved his hands through his front pockets. That was when Kane noticed that he was fully dressed and ready to head out. He was wearing his jersey with a white long sleeve underneath, his hair curled beautifully with leave-in conditioner and he already had his sneakers on.
When Kane saw that, he shoved the covers away and stood to his feet. "Why didn't you wake me when you started getting ready?"
"I've only been up for an hour and you were slumped," Jasper grinned, leaning forward and placing his lips against Kane's grumpy ones. He barely received anything back and met his gaze for a moment before leaning in again. This time, he felt Kane's lips pucker and he couldn't help but snicker. "It's fine, I got you an outfit for you to wear and I'll shower with you if you want me too."
"You'd ruin your hair."
"I can redo it, it's not going to kill me. Besides," Jasper winked, "I haven't been able to see you naked for a while."
That instantly caused Kane's ears to perk, his heart skipping a beat and he felt as if he could no longer breathe in as much as he could a second ago. He had no idea why Jasper always made him feel flustered this easily, and when he noticed Jasper stalk his gaze, he had to look away. "I'll be fine."
"Alright, but first come drink your coffee and then you can get ready."
"Where is it?"
"In the kitchen." Jasper turned away from him without waiting, "Hurry up."
Kane finally lifted himself from the bed, all his sore muscles causing him to begin stretching his arms and had to reveal a long and loud yawn that made him feel ten times better than he did. He grabbed one of Jasper's shorts before heading downstairs without a shirt on, ruffling his hair as he made his way to the kitchen.
The minute he did enter the kitchen, he instantly paused in his steps and glanced towards Jasper before his eyes returned to the chocolate ones he had not wanted to see at this point. She instantly straightened her spine when she saw him but before she could speak, he said, "You have no business being here."
"Easy tiger," Jasper rapidly intervened, reaching for cup of coffee he had made for Kane and placing it on the kitchen island in front of him, "I asked her to come."
"And why would you do that?"
"Because," Jasper shrugged his shoulders, stepping in front of him and blocking Ally's view as he noticed it made him much angrier by each passing second. "The only way we could possibly work is if you two can talk things through and get over it. So," Jasper tilted his head, "are you going to keep being snotty about it or are you going to talk things through with your sister."
Kane rolled his eyes and when Jasper nodded his head and stepped away to the side, leaning against the cabinet counter, Kane finally met Ally's gaze again and said, "I have nothing to say to you."
"That's not helpful..." Jasper mumbled under his breath, shaking his head.
Ally furrowed her brows. "I came to talk to you Kane because I agreed that maybe preventing you from seeing Jasper isn't fair. But I don't like being spoken to as if I'm the bad guy."
"It pretty much your fault that Jay isn't talking to me anymore."
"That's your own doing," Ally snapped, waving her hands at the same time. "You almost slept with his girlfriend."
"And I was going to tell him but you made me drop Jasper which made him do it—"
"And you're blaming me for something that he did on his own?"
Kane lifted his chin. "Yes, I am."
She rolled her eyes. "Oh my goodness Kane, that's unfair and you know it."
"The only thing I know is that Jasper doesn't love you anymore and you can't take it so you try and prevent anyone from being with him," Kane roared, leaning towards her.
Jasper's eyes instantly widened. "Kane, relax—"
"I know he doesn't," Ally stormed to her feet, "but you don't have to throw that in my face, that's disrespectful."
"Jamie slept with him the same night I slept with her; why didn't you say anything to her about it?"
"Because he can only fall in love with men and you know that," Ally snapped. "And I asked you to stop seeing him until I was ready to let him go."
"Well that's not your decision to make, it's mine. So," Kane grabbed his coffee, "it's either you accept it or you don't. But either way, I'm seeing him."
"Phew," Jasper bit his bottom lip and lowered his eyes, scrutinizing Kane's features for a second, "it's pretty hot when you're demanding."
Ally seemed at a lost of words, staying quiet as he eyes diverted from Kane's for a moment, lost into thought. She didn't want to hurt Kane but she hated the thought of those two being together. Although she would most likely have been able to move on from this, at the moment, the anger from being yelled at for having feelings was too much for her to handle.
That was why she asked, "How does Jay feel about that?"
That caused Jasper's ears to perk and he raised an eyebrow, unsure where she was headed with that question.
Kane frowned. "I wouldn't know since he doesn't talk to me anymore and you know that—"
"How does he feel about you being with the person that ruined his entire life forever?" Ally said.
Immediately, Jasper left his coffee on the counter and lunged towards Ally. "What are you doing?!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh, so he didn't tell you that the reason Jay's mother doesn't want anything to do with him? Why he went to Landry for a month?"
"No," Kane started walking around the marbled island, "he didn't."
"It was because of what Jasper did to him. Even the cops were involved, but Jasper probably didn't mention that to you either, did he?"
"Ally!"
Ally knew Jasper was headed for her but she didn't care. "How he got him naked and—" Jasper was finally able to squeezed his palm over her mouth, muffling any other words that attempted to escape.
"Got him naked and what?!"
They both ignored him. "This has nothing to do with him and I and you know that," Jasper hissed at her, his eyes focused on hers, staring terribly deep that Ally felt as if he was staring inside her entire body. "And from what I remember, you were in on it too." When he noticed Ally's eyes turn from hurting rage to slowly diminishing back into her senses, he began releasing his hold. "We promised both our parents we'd keep our mouths shut and so would Jay. So please, don't throw this in Kane's face to bring us apart."
