She pushed a button and a door opened to reveal Biffy in full werewolf fur and Sumire standing behind him, not wanting to get in between him and his prey.

"Lio please be careful our children are in there" she whispered to him and he just growled to her and she knew right away that he understood what she had said even though it was full moon.

He slowly walked into the room and right up to his children, Janice thought he was going to eat them but his eyes shone to them and they smiled right away. Janice hadn't seen this and was so hoping that he would snap and kill them.

The children ran over to their mother who had stayed in the other room waiting and watching, she didn't know her children where there until they touched her hands.

"Mama is papa alright?" they asked bringing her out of her trance "yes, he's protecting us from her, its instinct to protect his family" she explained not looking down at them, she just watched her husband stork his prey.

Biffy growled to Janice and circled her over and over again but keeping an eye on his family at the same time, Janice smirked at him and pointed the gun at him.

"Do you know the best way to kill a werewolf?" she asked but Biffy just growled again, "I think it's best to say this, I've done this since I was only six years old after losing my family and learning my family history. Vampires and werewolves killed my family" and she then turned the gun onto Sumire and the children.

"I'll tell you this, in Victorian times vampires killed most of my family leaving only two members alive to bring you monsters down but they failed and so not twenty five years ago it happened again but this time it was werewolves, they left me alive so then I could hunt you down like my family had done before me. So it's your family for mine" and she began to pull the trigger slowly at first but then it was so fast that they didn't know what had happened.

Biffy cried out in pain as he blocked the shot from her gun, "LIO!" cried Sumire to him but he didn't collapse at all, it was full moon and he was stronger than normal, this time he went onto the attack.

He leaped up above her and fell right on top of her and came down on her arm biting it clean off, Sumire had to shield her children's eyes from what her husband was doing, Janice just screamed at losing her arm, again Biffy circled her waiting for an opening again.

It was coming to dawn when he finally stopped circling her again and went to attack again; Janice held her gun firm and waited until he was close enough to make a critical shot at him but at the last minute he dodged it, landing near his family.

"Lio" cried Sumire into her children, he knew he had to end this and fast but he also had to make sure that his family was safe and so he barked at them telling them to leave.

"Lio not without you!, I want my family to be together, please Sandalio don't make us go!" pleaded Sumire to her husband but he just barked at her again and it was made clear to her that he just wanted them to be safe and nothing more.

The children had to pull their mother out to the cell and into the near dawn before she had noticed how badly Luna was hurt. "My dear child why didn't you say anything about this, what in the world did she do to you?" asked her mother to her child.

"She had me fight against people but every time they touched me they turned mortal, that's how she knew about it all and why she wanted papa" cried Luna into her mother's arms, she was held tightly while she cried.

"Mama is papa going to be ok?" asked Lyall sounding more grown up and sure of himself than ever before, it appeared that he had grown ten years in a matter of a few hours, while his sister had a melt down and was finally acting like a young child that she was.

"I don't know Lyall, I just don't know" she said to him as she looked up to the rising sun she noticed that he truly had his father's face. "Mother it's sun rise" said Unmei looking up at the sky which was now turning brighter as she watched.

They sat there waiting, waiting for Biffy to return but there was no sign of him at all and so she made the children promise that they wouldn't leave the grass hill that they were on until she came back.

She headed back down into the dark; she could only slightly see where she was going because of a pale yellow glow coming from within. She headed towards the light very, very slowly hoping that Janice wouldn't pop out of nowhere and kill her.

As she went deeper into the place that she was held in she could smell the blood, the rusty smell that she hated but she knew she had to keep going to see if her husband was still alive. She wished and prayed that he was.

As she crept into the cell that she was held in and then into the room where her husband was fighting not long ago she saw the carnage of it all. She held her breath, trying not to scream so then she wouldn't scare her children into coming down here and seeing all of this.

She only knew something was wrong when a hand came and closed around her mouth of all things, all the voice said that belonged to the hand was "shh" but then all of a sudden the hand fell and the body slumped to the floor with a thud.

Again she stopped a scream and slowly looked down to find out who had put their hand over her mouth. When she did she was surprised to see that is was Biffy of all people, he was battered and bruised but otherwise ok in the best sense of the term.

He then shuddered in pain and cried out; she noticed that his flesh was burning from the bullet holes that he now had. She noted that she must have shot him another three times as she and the children were escaping with their lives.

Sumire knew basic first aid for a werewolf and that was to take out the bullets right away so then they could heal and not cause any more damage than they already had and so she went about removing the bullets.

"Sandalio I'm so sorry this had happened to you but I'm going to save you now, I'm going to remove the bullets and then we along with the children can finally go home" and as she said this she removed one bullet.

"Sandalio remember when we first met? I do, it was a funny moment if you ask me..." and she smiled; she was trying not to cry over her husband's body that was slowly burning but healing at the same time.

"I... remember..." said a weak voice to her as she pulled out the second bullet and she finally cried "Lio, oh Lio I thought I was going to lose you, I just have one more to go and you'll be fine".

She finally managed to get the last of the bullets out by midday, she didn't want to go any faster just in case she did something wrong. "I... remember..." said Biffy again holding on to her hand.

"It was a night where there were no stars..." and he smiled making her smile as well, "that's right, we were both at Lord Akeldama's I had been in London for a month and I had made great friends with the Lord due to me looking just like Alexia, he spotted it right away" and she cried again.

"Sumire get the children" said Biffy to her, but she shook her head to him but he persisted with it all at first she didn't but then she helped him into another cell where she left him and got the children.

"Children follow me" said Sumire as she came back into the sunlight shielding her eyes from the bright sunlight "your father wants to see you, he's hurt but otherwise he's fine" she said as they headed back into the darkness.

"Papa!" cried the children but Sumire had to hold them back before they could touch him "your father in his weaken state will die if you touch him at the moment even if you don't mean to take his supernatural state" explained Sumire to them.

"It's fine my sweets, you just being here is enough for me to recover, but it will take it's time" he said with a slight smile, "I want you to go back to the hotel and wait for me, please do this for me, it will take a few more days but I promise you I'll be fine and then we can finally go home".

Sumire just nodded but the children cried, Luna most of all making Biffy realise that she was hurt and scared. "Luna my strong little girl, it's alright, it's not your fault ok. I want you to go with your mother and get better, I'll follow you soon enough" and she only nodded.

Sumire held Luna while Lyall and Unmei followed behind her, Lyall looked at his father one last time and Biffy had seen that look before, it was Conall Maccon's look of worry but it had his gentleness in it.

"Go protect your mother and sisters" was all he said and Lyall nodded and hurried after his mother.
