Inspiration comes in many forms. Some people listen to music. Others might take in nature. You can even be inspired by a show. I, however, seek knowledge from my dreams. My dreams are a creative space overflowing with ideas.

 I don't dream often, but I only have two types of dreams: nightmares and stories. Every idea I have ever had for a story has come from my dreams. 87 Below started as a nightmare that turned into a story. Luminescent was the same. Both works featured me in a disoriented state waking up to something new. I am a naturally curious person who is eager to learn. My brain knows best and in these nightmare situations, something in me always asks 'why'.

'Why' is another theme featured in my stories. My characters are thrown into an eerie, yet exciting, new world. In their respective worlds, they must solve a mystery to reach their end goal. This is a primary reason that either of my stories could fit into the Mystery/Thriller or Adventure genres. However, they are not limited to these genres. Because they started as nightmares, my stories are dark. Because they end as stories, my work has only just begun.

Truthfully, I am unsure where my stories will go. I have some ideas, but I have yet to create that 'perfect ending' that everyone has tried to pressure me into. My process is much different and I let my dreams take control of the reins. Steering our horse and buggy into the interworkings of my brain: the process.
