Chapter 8: My Cousin
□□□Shiro's POV□□□
The top floor of the south school building... at the end of the north hallway... The unused music room... This is it. This is the fabled...
I opened the door and rose petals came out. I was surprised that I fell to the floor. A-an Arabian castle?
"Welcome." Six boys and a girl sat/stood at the center of the room. Wait, that girl is...
"Miki-nee!?"
"Eh? Shiro-kun!?" She scrambled up to me. "What are you doing here!?"
"I should ask that question!" I yelled at her. "What the hell are you doing in The Host Club?"
"And so are you!" She yelled back.
"Miki-senpai," a tall blonde guy said. "Do you know this kid?"
"He's Takaoji Shiro, Elementary, 5th -Year, Class A. He's also my cousin." Miki-nee said as she folded her arms and cuddled her stupid Uka-chan. Then she grinned. "Isn't that right, Tsun-chan?"
"I did tell you not to call me that, dear Tsun-Tsun." I said irritated.
"Then don't call me that, Tsun-chan."
"I won't if you wouldn't stop, Tsun-Tsun."
"Argh!" was all she said and raced of f to a table. I turned and faced the six guys.
"What do you need, Takaoji-san?" The blonde guy asked me.
"Are you the King of this place?"
He began to be dreamy . "King? Yes, I am king."
"Baka..." I meard Miki-nee muttered. That is so true. But still I need to do this.
I cleared my throat. "I, Takaoji Shiro, asks to be your apprentice!"

♡♡♡Miki's POV♡♡♡
Shi-chan was there, watching Tama-chan host. I sighed.
"You seem to be down, Mi-chan. Is something bothering you?" Honey asked me concerned.
"Its just that..." I muttered as I turned my gaze to Shi-chan again. "Its been a while since we've seen each other. And now, he kinda feel different."
"Don't worry, Mi-chan." Honey assured me with a smile. "Maybe something is bothering him."
"Yeah... maybe..." I said as I continued to eat my cake. Maybe he did change... after that...
***flashback***
"Mother! Please! Don't leave me!" Shiro cried beside his dying mother.
"Remember this Shiro... I love you..." and the line went straight as the beeping turned to a deafening sound. I approached Shiro.
"Its okay, Shiro. Cry all of it. I promise I'll be with you. Always."
Shiro hugged me as I tried to comfort him.
***flashback end***
"I shouldn't have left..." I whispered unconciously.
"Are you saying something, Mi-chan?"
"Its nothing." I smiled.

When Shi-chan finally got out of the Host Club, I slipped out too. I followed Shi-chan.
"Shiro!"
He stopped on his tracks and turned to me.
"What do you want?"
"I just wanted to say sorry."
"What would your sorry do?" Shi-chan snapped. "Mother, you, everyone left me. I'm not letting her leave without her knowing..."
He ran the hall. But I just stood there wondering. "Her?"

How did we get into this situation? I know I was just sleeping a while ago and now I'm here, in the elementary building wearing elementary girls' uniform. Beside me was Honey, also wearing an elementary uniform. At the other side is Haru-chan wearing a middle school uniform.
"What are we doing here again?" I asked Honey in a whisper.
"We're going to find clues at Shiro-chan." Honey whispered back.
Well, in the end it turned out that our disguises were quite useless because they just got inside without even checking if there was someone inside or not. I was quite sure Tama-chan was whispering about Haru-chan being cute...
"If you wanted clues, you could have asked me or go to the elementary music room." I said irritated. "I really do mot appreciate wearing an elementary uniform."
"I'm sorry, Miki-senpai." Haruhi apologized. "We were also dragged to this mission or something."
I smiled brightly. "It's okay, Haru-chan! I don't mind if you're here."
We walked the corridors and saw the elementary music room. Near the window, Shi-chan was there. He was looking out of the window. Then, there was this girl who approached him. Could it be that Shi-chan refers to her?
"Shiro-kun, have you practiced the piece?" She said, holding tightly to her book. Shi-chan plays the piano?
"Only a little..." Shi-chan whispered but we heard it clearly.
"Then let's play together." The girl offered.
"No, you use the grand piano." Shi-chan replied. "After all, there is only one."
The girl frowned slightly but quickly returned her smile and nod. She went to the grand piano and sat. She started playing a beautiful tune.
Shi-chan smiled as he heard the tune. It has been a long time since I saw him smile like that. Just like the one he has before his mother died.
I suddenly felt something wet. Was I crying? Honey looked at me worriedly.
"Why are you crying, Mi-chan?"
"I-I was just happy that he can still smile like that." I wiped my tears. "Even if we act like we hate each other almost all the time, we really care for each other because we understand each other."
While me and Honey were talking, Tama-chan and the other hosts were talking to a girl who came out of the music room.
"You mean Hina-chan?" The girl said.
"Hina-chan, you say?" Tama-chan asked.
"You better not go falling in love with Hina-chan. She's gonna leave for Germany in a few days time."
Oh, so thats why he wanted to be a host.
Suddenly, Shi-chan burst out. "What are you doing here?"
Tama-chan picked him up and turned around.
~*****~
"Today's even is Shiro's piano recital." Tama-chan said charmingly. "Please take a sit here, Miss Hina."
And they played together. Shi-chan has been smiling the whole time. After that, me and Shi-chan was left alone in the club room. Shi-chan walked over me and hugged me.
"Thank you, Miki-nee. You've always helped me." He said as he hugged tighter.
"No need to thank me. It was Tama-chan's idea. And remember, I promised to be by your side always, didn't I?"
Shi-chan released me wnd smiled really big as he got out of the club room.
